Hey, I’m so sorry but I really wanna share this story. I’m AFAB, So, I was talking to my fam and then, my aunt goes: “Hey *deadname*, have you got a boyfriend? A girlfriend? A partner?” First I would like to refer that- I am not out to my aunt. I’m non-binary asexual and biromantic. And she doesn’t know that. She asked me if I had a girlfriend. Even tho she dead named me, which, even tho I get sad I don’t mind cuz she doesn’t know, that sentence made me feel so accepted. And loved. Just cuz she doesn’t assumed I’m straight. I would’ve outed myself right there to her if my grandma wasn’t there. (Shes LGBTQphobic, mostly transphobic) I would’ve outed me and said I have the best girlfriend in the world. And talk abt it with her. Also, the funny part of this: “Do u got a boyfriend? Girlfriend? Partner?” Yeah. The 3 of them. My partner it’s gender fluid 😂😂😂
Your aunt sound great! I was actually wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing how you knew you were ace and biromantic. I am ace, but I can't tell if I am aro or not. How did you figure this out? Of course if this is too personal a question, I understand :) no worries
There were women arguing against women getting the vote when that was an issue - there are women arguing against a woman's right to choose not to be pregnant by having an abortion. Shows how deep the conditioning can go when prisoners argue against being released from their chains.
Some women are just too brainwashed since birth. Like, those irrational teachings were ingraved in their minds when their were small and now they are scared and hate something that is against what they learned imo
@@TrueAnts1 Stockholm syndrome is a discredited illness though. But on another thread, anyone know about the lady who fought the Equal Rights Act (ERA)? Argued in favour of the special privileges accorded to women because of their marginalization (not eligible to be drafted, drinks bought for them, etc.). Another example for the pile. And goodness sakes, I know some anti-feminists bring up the special privileges to try to argue that women are actually privileged above men, but those special privileges only exist because women are marginalized! I swear, most of the opposition to feminism is by people who don't actually understand feminism. Ignorance is the real enemy (and my most intractable foe, sadly).
It’s internalized sexism. They’re likely raised on the belief that they have a certain role, place, and behaviors, with anything outside that norm being wrong. They then act to preserve that norm, believing it is the right thing to do without the knowledge they are harming themselves in the process.
@Garden Knomi you have a very narrow worldview if you think all genders are treated equal in today’s society. yes, women have come a long way, but they still have a long way to go. what about the pay gap? what about the fact that women and girls are sexually harassed and assaulted every day and forced to keep quiet about it? what about domestic violence, which women are much more commonly victims of? you are choosing to ignore the struggles that the female gender face daily when you say “Women have equal rights in the Western World”. please open your eyes.
@Garden Knomi can you please elaborate on why you think feminism is anti-male? women having the same rights as men does not detract anything from men at all.
@Garden Knomi feminism helps men actually. Men suffer under the patriarchy as well as women. And if you're a man (which I assume you are based on your mindset) you really shouldn't tell women they aren't oppressed because you don't actually have that life experience.
As someone who was put through etiquette school to act "proper" according to my AGAB, I can say there's a suprising amount of people out there who believe this stuff. Thanks for calling out the cringe in this world. People should just be people, regardless of gender. Everyone should be loved and treated as valid because we are worthy. Also pizza rolls are the best of all rolls. Fight me.
Thank you for this! I'm often told that I can't possibly be a feminist because I'm a stay-at-home mom who loves makeup, nails, and pretty clothing (I wear nothing but pretty nightgowns with vintage or vintage inspired robes or dresses on the rare occasion I go anywhere). I'm definitely quite feminine and do fit some of the gender roles BUT I'm also one of the most vocal feminists out there. Feminism is about choice. Every woman should do whatever it is that makes them happy. My choices just happen to line up with some stereotypes. I don't think everyone should live this way though. If my lifestyle isn't your thing ... great! Do you! I just wish people would stop judging me. Everyone should respect each other's choices in how they choose to live even if it's not their thing.
You are amazing humans and I know you are strong. I will always be proud of you and remember you have already survived 100% of your worst days. I know you can keep going, I believe in you and you are loved here and always will be. You are valid, you are amazing and you are enough. You can do anything you set your mind to and you have a bright future ahead of you, keep going you can do it.
Some time ago on another one of Jammi's meme videos there was one with something along the lines of "the home is made for the woman" or something like that? So I guess these types of people just believe wanting a roof over your head is a feminine trait, and men would be happier sleeping out in the cold and the rain.
I'd say Jessica Kellgren-Fozard is one of the prime examples of a feminine feminist, taking inspiration from historical/traditional or even conservative fashion while rejecting the harmful narratives of the time. And there are countless other people like her. Femininity and feminism aren't mutually exclusive...
In fact, femininity even now is very feminist; given that women now are being pushed to act like men or act in ways that support the patriarchy, acting against that by being feminine is still very feminist.
Same! I'll say that I'm feminine 70% of the time but that definitely doesn't contradict with me being a feminist lol. Neither does my masculine side (My mom likes to say that I hate makeup to prove a point, but I think while it might be partially true, I am mainly just too lazy to learn to do makeup...)
The 'submission pills' gave me a laugh, because historically, women who only stayed at home to serve their homes and families were (according to their male doctors)prone to "hysteria". Symptoms of which included: unhappiness, disobedience, and wanting the right to vote. Ofcourse this desease was caused by the uterus, because that was the only internal organ men didn't have! But women couldn't be allowed to attend university, or work in science(or at all while married) because their little brains couldn't handle it and their uterus would fall out! Many women with high intellects ended up committing suicide or succumbed to mental illness because they felt empty and useless in a society that wouldn't allow them to do anything truly usefull with their intelligence and talents. Which ofcourse was seen as more proof of women's weakness. It's a vicious circle that apparently is still kicking. I hope these are the last convulsions before it finally dies.
I don't expect a lot* of logical consistency with these anti-feminists types, but on the "return to home instead of working" issue - are these people okay with men doing all of the traditionally "female" jobs? Men as maids, secretaries, nurses, flight attendants, kindergarten teachers, etc., etc.? Somehow I doubt it. *By a lot, I mean any.
It's so fun when Shaaba shows up. I'm glad the RUclips algorithm took me to your awesome channel that I have been spending way too much time on. I won't lie, though. I grew up in Durban where the weather is hot and humid at the best of times, I live in N Ireland now and I'm always astounded at how soon the shorts come out and the tshirts are discarded at a temperature that would've sent me running for a jumper. I've acclimatised after almost 20 years, but it's still a little alarming when the acres of white flesh are exposed.
Finally, someone else who learned the ankles thing from Julie Andrews and admits it. Bless you, Shaaba. (I only do the ankles thing when I feel like it.)
High femme feminist here! But while I greatly enjoy presenting as high femme, and I do enjoy some feminine coded activities (I love historical hand sewing), I don’t go in for most gender roles. Also, my dad was the one to reach me how to hand sew. And how to cook. My mum taught me woodworking and budgeting. I blame my parents. They shared all the household and work stuff pretty equally, switching off being the stay at home while they had below high school aged children. So gender roles just never made much sense to me. What part of gender or sex makes one person better at cooking and another better at yard work? It’s completely nonsensical to me. Just work things out the way that works for you. If you enjoy cooking, and your partner doesn’t, then you cook and the partner does the dishes. I just don’t see why gender has to come into it at all.
in response to your video title yes I am both .... except on Tuesdays, and Fridays when I become an infinite void of laziness and troll around my home in the baggiest and most unflattering clothes I own
I love both of you. You are so damn cute as a couple and so sweet. You two need a tv show. Like on netflix. Preferably one that is in both the UK and USA. 1. You could educate people on trans issues and the community. 2. You both are so loveable that I can't be the only one who wishes they could just hug and cuddle with you both for like a year straight. 3. I have a feeling it would have the purity and niceness of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and the ability to educate like Bill Nye. If anyone knows anyone at Netflix....seriously...get ahold of them. Less than a minute in and I was already laughing. I am a feminine feminist! My husband and I support and 'serve' each other. When both partners support each other, you both grow, and grow better together. As for the feminine, as didn't like pink, lace, dresses, etc. when I was a teen. For quite a while I was a jeans and t-shirt mom (I also taught preschool). One day I was getting ready to go to a wedding, curling my hair and putting on makeup. My then 3 year old (now 22! What?!?) said, "Mommy, you look like a girl!" Hahaha!!! I think I slowly started wearing more girly things. I only had 3 sons at that point, now we have 5. I am so outnumbered in my house. ;)

Hello Fresh? I've kept some of their recipes for 4 years and still use them regularly! It also helped me learn how to cook, because their steps are so easy to follow and pretty precise. People tell me I'm a great cook now and I look forward to every dinner :) Hello Fresh also helped me try so many foods that I refused to eat! My parents were so relieved! Seriously, it sounds fake, but it can really help you eat more vegetables. We stopped buying the boxes becaus it got more expensive and we had so many recipes at that point, we decided to just cycle them for a while and got more independent over time 😬
To be honest, when I first saw this vid on the list I was a bit miffed: it wasn't till I saw the small "you can be both" in the corner that I realised that this was a rebuttal, not yet another mgtow/incel/niceguy rant about woman daring not to fall fainting into their arms - or, more likely, at their feet. [] "make women feminine again" - like, pass laws? force women to be something that YOU decide they "ought" to be? Of course, the alternative word for "feminine" here is "doormat". [] lol women can't be "feminine" now! The word "no" must be removed from their vocabulary to make them "properly feminine". [] "Be proud to serve him" - but do you serve him fried or roasted?
Omg the moment I read the "sit with your ankles crossed and good posture," I immediately had to uncross my ankles and slouch back in my chair out of spite.
Bro I fought with transphobic people for about an hour and I swear those people are so scary. They always say "Trans women aren't real women cause they can't experience what real women experience like birth and periods" I get annoyed cause it's almost like they think that being a women is all about giving birth and bleeding for 7 days straight.

My problem with phrases that end in, 'great again,' is the thing the person is referring to wasn't great to begin with. Or it was only great for a specific group of people.

This!!!
Women who were in their 70s in the 1990s would be so horrified to hear all this, the call to roll back all the progress they fought for, and romanticizing the oppression that was so commonplace that they lived through and knew for what it was. "To the Moon, Alice" was considered funny.

My partner it’s gender fluid 😂😂😂
omg that's so cute aah!!!! maybe you can tell her over text
@@pennysantana247 Probably I’ll do that :)) Or even in person, just not in front of my grandparents heh :))

I was actually wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing how you knew you were ace and biromantic. I am ace, but I can't tell if I am aro or not. How did you figure this out? Of course if this is too personal a question, I understand :) no worries
I actually can’t believe that some women are against feminism: like THEY’RE LITERALLY FIGHTING FOR YOUR RIGHTS OML
There were women arguing against women getting the vote when that was an issue - there are women arguing against a woman's right to choose not to be pregnant by having an abortion.
Shows how deep the conditioning can go when prisoners argue against being released from their chains.
stockholm syndrome
Some women are just too brainwashed since birth. Like, those irrational teachings were ingraved in their minds when their were small and now they are scared and hate
something that is against what they learned imo

Why *wouldn’t* someone be a feminist? It’s (by definition) the belief that all genders are equal.
Well, cause a great many people believe that's not true.
Exactly! I see people saying stuff like ‘I’m not a feminist but I think all genders should be equal’. That’s literally what feminism is about.

Absolutely 😊

I'm just trying to figure out how being at home is feminine like everybody needs a roof over their head
I guess you just cant be feminine if you're homeless
@@meIIohi your pfp is amazing
Some time ago on another one of Jammi's meme videos there was one with something along the lines of "the home is made for the woman" or something like that? So I guess these types of people just believe wanting a roof over your head is a feminine trait, and men would be happier sleeping out in the cold and the rain.
I'd say Jessica Kellgren-Fozard is one of the prime examples of a feminine feminist, taking inspiration from historical/traditional or even conservative fashion while rejecting the harmful narratives of the time. And there are countless other people like her. Femininity and feminism aren't mutually exclusive...
Ikr, many of the first feminist authors in the 1700's wore super elaborate dresses and still actively slayed the oppressive culture.
In fact, femininity even now is very feminist; given that women now are being pushed to act like men or act in ways that support the patriarchy, acting against that by being feminine is still very feminist.
Basically the entire lolita fashion movement.

I wonder what they think about me and others like me 🤭
That's awesome! Feminism is about choice so you can be as feminine or as masculine as you want :)
Confused. But that's their base state anyway
I'm a feminist I'm feminine and non binary

Nowadays, every time I see "feminine" I hear it in One Topic's voice: "feme-NY-NEE" which makes things like this funnier.
I just read that word in his voice automatically
I don't expect a lot* of logical consistency with these anti-feminists types, but on the "return to home instead of working" issue - are these people okay with men doing all of the traditionally "female" jobs? Men as maids, secretaries, nurses, flight attendants, kindergarten teachers, etc., etc.? Somehow I doubt it.
*By a lot, I mean any.

Poor Shaaba, having a gradual breakdown while reacting to these memes. :P I mean...same, though. Same. x_x
Shaaba has the BEST laugh, honestly she brings such joy to your videos

I am so outnumbered in my house. ;)

Hello Fresh also helped me try so many foods that I refused to eat!
