Home base for us is Monterey and the Monarchs come each October and stay till February in the grove in Pacific Grove...we had 15k this year and it's just overwhelminly amazing. I can only imagine what stumbling upon so many while hiking feels like! SO incredible! What a great trip (minus the poop bags) for you guys!

My son and I climbed the Grand when he was 16 (with a guide.) We summited at sunrise. The Tetons are amazing. Enjoy your time there!
That is awesome! What would be your one piece of advice for the Grand?
Know how to use ropes. A couple of spots were tricky. But so worth it!
