The ending! 😭💗
Glad y'all are safe.
Love the ending of the video. That got me in the feels
it made the experience all worth it
That was a horrible time! We didn’t get flooded out, but had the worry that we would - or that a tree would fall and crush the house. I’m glad you were able to save the house - that was excellent work!👍🏼👍🏼
Sweet tale. So glad you all are okay.
Thank you!! It got crazy there for a while!
Glad everyone is safe and happy!
Thank you!! Storms definitely do what they want without warning sometime
Indie is the cutest. 🫶
Haha she dances through any storm!
Prayers for y’all safety
We’re good now! It got crazy there for a bit
Yup...we were there with you...just on the Central Coast and watching our rivers and creeks fill up, spill over and flood everything...and then there was the actual coastal storm rampage damage too. We just kept waiting for evac orders. We have family in Elk Grove who were waiting too. Glad you guys could save the house but yeah, when they tell you to get out, get out.
exactly. We didn't think about outside the aspect of trying to save a home is not being able to get anywhere when roads and powerlines and services are all down from storms
@@TheJurgys Crazy time. I mean, I know we need water in California but I'd prefer it not to be all at once! LOL!
So glad you made it through the horrible storm. I know all too well what it means to go through storms and come together and help your community and your neighbors. I live in Florida in ground zero for hurricane Ian this past September. We weren't supposed to take a direct hit and it wasn't supposed to be that bad for us but storms do what they want and are very unpredictable. Glad you are all safe. ❤️
Oh man! Are you guys still recovering from it?
@@TheJurgys us personally, no. We were very fortunate and live in a 4 year old home that held up very well. Minimal damage. Now us as a community, yes. We will be for years to come. People are working hard everyday and it looks way better than it did 4 months ago but we still have a long way to go.
Clever preparations
dude that sump pump did wonders
Glad y’all made it through the storm . ❤
Thanks guys! Grateful over here as well! It got crazy when the levies broke
Yup, pretty well sucked but we survived. So much water!!! No power for 4 days. I let my neighbor use one of my generators so the refer and freezer were good. Lots of cleanup. Some damage but not bad. Glad everything worked out for you and the family.
Ohh man ya are you guys still cleaning up?? Crazy how without power also meant no cell service in some areas with towers being out
@@TheJurgys Ya. Still cleaning up. Lots of branches are still down. It is dry enough to get to them and haul them off now. That is tomorrow’s project.
When they say “evacuate”, get out! No home is worth risking your life. It’s just stuff! It can be replaced. The weather people have equipment for predicting what’s coming. Glad y’all are OK.
Amen ⬆️ ☝🏼
So happy to hear your family made it through the storms. 🙏 Great idea with the pump! I was thinking of a hole with a pump inside a HomeDepot bucket… Home Depot and Amazon sell a product called “Quick Dam”. Any thoughts on using these? Great video, high marks to editor. Nice storytelling.
Oh that’s smart adding the bucket into the mix! I’ll have to look into the “quick dam” sounds interesting. And thank you!! Trying to do better with our videos this means more than you know
You guys are all about making life an adventure, right
haha we can't seem to stay away from it 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♂️
@@TheJurgys well, you come out the other side stronger
The other emergency alert was a few years ago? Wow
crazy to think Hawaii missile alert was that long ago!!
Very foolish to stay when you were first got told to leave 😮
Haha we don’t disagree! That’s why we made the video, I don’t know if you’ve been in a flood warning, but it’s hard to leave in a moment when you have animals and a home you want to protect as well!
We did save the home (it would’ve been so much worse) but also we’re lucky roads opened up a few days later. For sure it’s better to lose a home than a life
When are you going to make a video about the solar upgrade Zack from Jerryrigeverything did to your RV trailer.
we've been testing it out in multiple settings so still planning on it!
@@TheJurgys Okay, after I watched Zack's video, I thought that you were going to release your video a month later, but take all the time you need.
HelloFresh != GF, sad for me
What do you mean?
@@TheJurgys hellofresh is not gluten free. Sorry for the gibberish. 😁
