Like I just put on your last video and this is what I have found by working on these trucks. 1. Make sure BOTH of your batteries are Good and you have great voltage when tuning or you will have many issues! Watch your voltage on your monitor while flashing and you will see that it uses A LOT of voltage when flashing. & 2. MAIN CAUSE OF FICM ISSUES IS TUNING WITH BAD BATTERY VOLTAGE! You sending dirty power to the FICM will blow your capacitors really Fast (same as in Amplifiers with Car Audio) you always want GOOD & CLEAN power running through when doing anything like tuning. Thank Me Later Everyone
Still new to owning an LB seven but my knowledge there’s a wall plug white element for the turbo on the intake. That’s probably what heating up and when the keys on that long, it just got really really hot.
@@JWMontoya in your defense you had missed out on several trucks this one came up you jumped way to quick it’s always the heat of the moment buys that bits you in the ass your still young you will learn a lot life is expensive to get the wisdom lol maybe the views a revenue return will over come the lemon taste
I want a duramax. Currently have my 05 Silverado cammed 5.3 on 34s that I daily and tow my CanAmx3 and occasionally my toolboxes. Looking forward to getting a duramax. You're really motivating me to buy one.
You don’t need a duramax to tow your 10 foot trailer and tool boxes 😭 this is how you dumb kids end up financing 20 y/o shit boxes for 20k with 300k miles but hey “it’s an Lbz dUrAmAx”
Only thing I can think of is I know for a fact with LBZ’s on the egr section there is also a intake manifold air heater that’s right before the y bridge and it starts heating when the key is in run position. Only thing I can think of that could possibly make that y Bridge hot and smoke without the truck running
Get yourself a mega cab 3rd gen 5.9 Laramie auto 4wd SINGLE REAR WHEEL 3500 or 2500 and LOVE IT! Lol 😅 I’ll never get rid of mine. I get mid 20’s mpg with 8” lift 26x14’s 37” gladiator m/t’s and smarty touch programmer on level 8 with rail pressure turned up timing up one level and trans tune. Love it love it love it. This Mf will shit n get man. 😤🤙🤙
I don’t know how your intake heater is hooked up and plug or what but I had a 02 7.3 powerstroke and the intake heater nut was loose and that thing was glowing orange in a matter of seconds after starting it
I have a lb7 that has California emissions. Does the tuner you have work on this truck? I have terrible take off. But after i get moving it goes good. Just replaced the maf and accelerator. Just not good enough. I dont want to waste money on wrong tuner. Also only getting 13 mpg. My 03 6.0 gasser gets the same. I need good suggestions.
Is your oil pressure gauge wrong? If not I would get it looked at 70 is crazy high for a LB7 at idle at got idle it should be around 15 to 20 cold idle maybe a little higher but not 70 at idle
This has happened to me and my dad we were cursing and the truck started smoking inside the cab then we stopped and looked under the hood the injector lines had come lose and had started a fire on the truck
How the hell did that happen diesel isn’t even flammable like that u can throw a match in a tank none will happen u need more compression then heat to ignite diesel. It’ll literally put out fires.
Dude really? Ur supposed to be this big. Diesel guy n u really don’t know what would cause the y bridge to get hot? U literally pointed the camera right at it. It’s the intake air heater in the y bridge. Malfunctioning n got too hot

He’s just standing there menacingly
Intake air heater on overdrive?!
Thanks for the update I was looking forward to this.

Off the subject question. I’m trying to figure out what would be the best tire for the money. I’m looking at 33x12.50r24 all terrain
😂 what
check the body grounds had this happen on a truck and the steering rack was acting as a ground and was smoking
That cluster doesn’t look like any lb7 cluster iv seen before.

cold it will be that high
That lb7 is rough... Intake heater delete needed. Specially in GA.
Agreed
Way off topic I just bought an l5p do you still recommend same day tuning?
Absolutely not
Any suggestions I keep hearing about the diesel dudes have you heard anything good or otherwise about them?
Love the dually. Trying to build mine on my channel too
Is the injectors
Intake heater went into overdrive. That thing is a turd and you need to unload it.

Well it had
And don’t try to put a match in ur fuel tank

I appreciate you thinking I'm supposed to be this big diesel guy! Just an enthusiast and not a master mechanic
Awesome content
Makes imstructional videos for diesel truck ...... doesnt know what an intake air heater is 😂😂😂😂😂
lol you live and learn. I’m not a mechanic but I make videos on things I learn on these trucks lol
U should build a dually version of ur at4 as a tow pig
One day 🙌
new sub here just got a lb7 last night 😂😂😂 love this content keep it up g 🦾
