    Hey thanks to this video I have a perfect 22’ round setup. I’m on a slope so needed advise on how to level. The price was 2k to level this, How Em I gonna Pay that if I didn’t even buy the pool for that much. Wish I knew how to send a video. But anyways thank you!!! You saved me 2k.. bought my pool 20’ best way pool on offer up for 175.00 bucks..

      I appreciate you kind words. And I pray you will get help too..I would make a water level. So you can check how level the are is in your yard that you want your pool. Water levels are accurate & can be cheap to make. If I can help in any way just send me a message.

    Besides the sand pump, what other pieces were needed to upgrade to the sand pump? The pump that came with it just stopped working and trying to decide everything that is needed to attempt it myself. Thanks!

    • @diydad101
      @diydad101  3 года назад

      You can have the pool up & running with the upgraded intex 14” pump & sand filter with approximately 60-70lbs of pool Sand. There’s changes & mods you’ll want to do later but the 40mm (1.5”) hoses that come with sand filter & pool’s original 2- B ports & Filter pumps tee. Its a 1 1/4 “ X 1 1/4 “ Barbed end (to the 2 B port hoses) x 40mm /1.5” threaded end Tee fitting ( to pump)

    NICE JOB! Just got this pool and also got a 16' Haywood filter with a 1.5hp pump to go with it will I need bigger hoses or adapters then what the pool comes with? If so what do I need? Thank you In advance!

    • @diydad101
      @diydad101  3 года назад

      No & yes. If that makes sense. You don’t have to but you will want to later. You 1.25” B ports will connect to a 1.25” slip to 1.5” threaded Tee fitting.
      The issues of fittings come with some extra add ons for pool & vacuuming options. Basically making it easier & quicker to vacuum & clean pool & sand filter & pumps strainer.
      Intex pool’s fittings are in metric have to be ordered on line.
      Game makes a 40 mm to 1.5” /1 & 1/2” PVC adapters using the type B to 1.5 “ adaptors.
      Or you can carefully cut & replace the 2 B ports with 2 of the return water jet fittings

    Every time i level one pole, the others around it shift inward and so on. Any idea what to do to stop them from moving?

    • @AlexanderDaGr88
      @AlexanderDaGr88 2 года назад

      Eventually they’ll stop moving as the pool fills

    • @diydad101
      @diydad101  2 года назад

      Correct.. pretty much once theres 2’-3’ ft of water in the pool it’s secure.. because there’s minimal adjustment once you pass the 2’-3’ ft water level mark. Sorry for the delay.. i hope your swimming by now

  • @scarleeyaline2713
    @scarleeyaline2713 3 года назад +1

    how long did it take for it to fill up completely?

    • @diydad101
      @diydad101  3 года назад

      That depends on your water’s piping & PSI.
      The 52”x22’ coleman Pool is roughly holds 13,300gals of water
      I think it took me around 18-20 hrs total to fill my pool up from hose bib
      13,300gals

      (1440mins=24hrs)
      = 9.24gpm flow rate
      Gpm = gallons per minute
      24hrs ❌ 60 minutes = 1440mins
      * I took 2 days filling my pool but did not leave the water on running over night.
      Basically i basically filed my pool with water in 3 phases.
      Day 1/ 1st phase - I filled pool
      w/t 1”-2” of water. Then got on my hands & knees working out the pool bottom’s wrinkles in liner ( starting in the middle, working the wrinkles out in a circular & spiraling patter outward )
      2nd phase/day1 & day2 - ( *critical step*)
      is to be continuously checking & adjusting the vertical support legs of pool from 1ft - 3 ft water level. Making sure vertical support legs stay level both ( “vertically & horizontally” , “Side to side/in & out” )
      the pool frame’s vertical support legs continue to shift until there’s a 3ft + water level in pool. So basically your walking around periodically adjusting every vertical support leg for frame using 2 - torpedo levels, one level on the side, one level on the outside of same vertical support leg “level’s magnet side to metal vertical support leg”
      ( keeping support leg level up & down/top to bottom & side to side ) because after there’s 2.5ft- 3ft of water in the pool. There’s no more adjusting the vertical legs.
      3rd phase/day 2 - continue filling pool the rest of the way up.

    Are bricks under each leg necessary??

    • @diydad101
      @diydad101  2 года назад

      Yes … Or some sort of solid material thats strong & will not easily break & not give in to the the weight of pool’s vertical support support legs when wet & ground is saturated.. you could use some scrape pieces of wood or etc. I used the 2”x8” blocks because my dirt gets very soft when ground water levels are up in rainy seasons

  • @tammyackley8887
    @tammyackley8887 3 года назад +2

    How many paver blocks did you need?

    • @diydad101
      @diydad101  3 года назад +1

      I think it was 22 (1 per vertical support leg for pool ) Then 10 building a pad for 14” intex sand filter & pump modification.
      Remember to put the rounder smoother side ⬆️ up & to cover block’s corners with pool sand & excess tarp. I also used the pool sand and excess tarp to build up the outer cove for pool’s bottom
      32 total blocks

    Sand filter mean Salt ?

    • @diydad101
      @diydad101  29 дней назад +1

      Sorry I was out of town.
      Sand filter is 50-70lbs of treated sand ( depending on size of sand filter )
      Sand filter = recirculating the dirty pool water from the pool to & through sand filter back to pool. Removing debris & flocculants from the water for clearer water.
      Salt = Disinfectant
      = Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach) House hold bleach is a lower concentration (2% sodium hypochlorite)
      Sodium bicarbonate = baking soda
      Your still your chemicals to treat the PH & disinfectant
