- This is a 5 year ownership review of my 2015 Camaro 2SS RS.
The car has full bolt-ons (Long tube headers, intake, tune, catch can). Reliability is important to me and in this video you will see that this car is truly a bulletproof car. I daily drive this car and have put HARD miles on it without any issues whatsoever.
Revs are at 14:05 and end of video has a little pull from inside the vehicle with the windows down.

I own a 2014 Camaro 2ss with 93k miles.i get so many compliments on this car, seems like people almost enjoy it more then I do lol. I love the old school muscle car look of the 5th gens, that’s why i will never trade. I just can’t stop driving this thing. Dope vidd!!
Thanks! That is awesome!! I agree with you i just love the 5th gens :)
Me too.. I have a 2014... For some reason, BMWs are forever trying to race me. I've won more than I lost. Got walked by a 7 series once.. Had trouble finding the 5th gear...lol
I know this is a year late, but I just got a 2015 2ss and omg I am in love. The Camaro has been my dream car sense a kid and it only has 18,000 miles on it!!!
I’m in the process of trading my Silverado for a 2015 2SS and this gave me much more confidence, I am very excited to finally get my childhood dream car!! Beautiful car and great video!!
Thank you! I’m glad to hear that! Enjoy it!!
Nice profile pic
Bro childhood this car came out 7 years ago
@@sayten5512 I would think he referring to a Camaro SS
The '14 and '15 Camaro's were the best looking modern Camaros period. Chevy went way backwards with '16+.
Specifically the '14 and '15 Z28 is absolutely sexy.
I had a 2015 2SS Camaro my parents rented for my senior prom. I hated when I had to give it back. I fell for the ss camaro ever since. I am currently looking for a 5th gen. Personally I grew up around my dad having mustangs but, now he's the one who convinced me to get a 5th gen. Love the video bro.
also the ls3 motor is one of the greatest motors ever created...last forever if u keep the oil fresh
That has an L99. LS3 came in manual transmission
Yes nice video I have 2015 w/ 23k been in garage only drive on sunny days .
Did you put a throttle body on it ?
I noticed when I first got it I smelled electrical fumes when I drove it hard after break in ....I hope It was just breaking in fumes, but I had no problems at all..... been on a few road trips and I can go almost 400 miles on a tank full....I changed my pads and rotors to power stop z26 street kit because I hate brake dust.....
I haven’t did no mods yet ...but it is a very strong runner ....
Yea, really reliable motors 😎
@@bradbonnell5777 yeah but it’s basically a ls3 😎
@@eroberts226 I have a 2014 now for 3 years and no.. that smell occurs every time you drive it hard! The damned thing still won’t break though. It’s one helluva car. and a great engine!
Nice car!! I bought a 2015 1 SS/RS M6 in Red Rock metallic brand new. 10 years, 66k miles later I still love it like I bought it yesterday. Compliments my two 69 Camaros nicely 😊
I’m so in love with the 2015. Im purchasing one tomorrow
Did u get it?

I love mine, 2015 SS and 60k miles, daily driven and full bolt ons.
Thats great!
Wats ur mpg
@@just_a5.7 12 mpg, but doesn't help that I floor it everywhere I go
I have a 2015 1le with 125,000 miles. Absolutely love it still. And I'm a neighbor of yours. Southern Alabama
Awesome!! That’s great!!
My 2015 1SS 6 speed has been the greatest purchase so far with 2 years of ownerships! Got her at 28k and currently has 79k and honestly don’t look to get rid of her because it’s something about the later 5th gen models that I absolutely enjoy! Right now I only have a CAI intake but I look to get a MGW short shifter soon and then I’ll consider headers but in the mean time she handles like a dream!
I'm planning on treating myself and buying one after Christmas. Specifically looking at the 2015 version with less than 60k km on it! It looks beautiful
I got the 2015, last week, 40k miles, best car ever 🥰
@@Jay-ts5sq I’m thinking about getting one next spring for a birthday gift to myself. Does it has any oil problems or anything to look down in the long run ? 🤔
What a beauty. Great mods you did. I have the same almost. 2015 black only a V6. I would never get rid of it. Same experience as you. Not one single problem with it, drives so well, very fast, absolutely love it. As far as I'm concerned...perfect car.
Hello from across the pond!
I own a 2013 2SS(registered in 2014!) Camaro in silver with black stripes.
It was my dream car, although I missed out on the orange colour, I wanted!
I had an upgrade done on the computer to give me near 450 bhp, from 400 bhp.
My car is a Euro spec, which has bigger side mirrors, and better looking rear LED
lights(Elton John glasses look!).
Wheels need a complete resurface repair as they look bad(£480).
I want a Borla Attak exhaust in the future, although they were about £1,300 plus
fitting!
Driving to work, and driving fast on Motorways, I average about 23+ mpg on Super
Unleaded(99 Octane), although it is now nearly £7.00 a gallon in UK!!!
I daily drive my 2015 2ss got it at 7k miles now it's about 24k . It's done nothing but good for me 💯💯💯👍
I agree! Enjoy it!!
Holy! 5 years and only 24k miles? You practically babied it and that’s amazing! You have a beautiful car for a lonnnnnng time.
@@Rmando Mine has 30k miles also from 5 years ago but its all thanks to having a really close job lol
I’m buying mine tomorrow can’t wait 2015 2SS convertible
My gf has the exact same car but it’s a 2014 2SS. Borla ATAKs (cat back) and bbk CAI. This 6.2L runs awesome 😎 I use 5w-30 signature series amsoil and PI to keep it running smooth and strong 💪🏼
Owned one since 2015 exact same spec and color havent got rid of it, put 80K miles on it beat it to death and am reviving it now!!! 1 high quality detailing company for 250$ can really work magic with new air and cabin filters!!!
I love my 2014 SS! Always put a smile on my face ! My only issue is my key gets stuck in the ignition after parking sometimes .. and gas
When that happens click the trigger on the shifter repeatedly if you have an automatic. Works every time
My '15 2LT...key gets stuck now and again also.
Bad ass!
i just bought one 2015 SS but in dark grey.
14-15 SS with the facelift are the best looking Camaros
I was looking for a Lexus and accidentally saw this car 2015 Camaro 2SS 6 spead manual full black. Now I feel like getting the Camaro and learn how to drive stick too. The car looks badass.
Been looking at some for 25-27k range with 50-70k miles thinking of pulling the trigger on it just doing some research so thanks man great review
With a stage 2 cam, upgraded lifters, rods, beehive springs and 13:1 pistons you would be close to 610 hp to the wheels. It’s an extra 16 dollars a fill up bc you’ll need vp 7 point octane booster. My 2015 has these upgrades and it’s insane. Cams and the high compression ratio and extremely light weight fly wheel all attribute to this.
Nice car, I have a agm 15 2ss/rs myself. 16K miles on it. The last of my original warranty just ended so now is time to start modding for me. I wasn’t taking a chance on voiding any of my warranties at all.
Nice! I couldn't wait to start modding haha i started asap. Enjoy it!
I'm driving my 2015 2SS LS3 at 41kmiles I drive it only in summer I kept it all factory its enough for me every once in a while i put it on the autobahn to let out some exhaust emissions lol
Just love my 2015 RS. Only have 19K on it. You have a nice machine here my friend.
Awesome looking car. I just purchased one 9 months ago 2015 LT V6 though. Putting the car in the dealership to get a new exhaust system going to cost me $2,000. But other than that good car.
I'm in the process of buying a new car for myself.
The camaro ss, 5.0 stang , genesis coupe 3.8 or a IS350 F-sport are the cars Im looking at but only as of recent have I even thought about looking into getting a camaro.
Right now the genni is leading the way but the more I look at the camaro the more I'm like it. Thanks for the review!
what did u get its crazy because i’m looking at all the same cars
This gave me confidence. Upgrading to a v8 ss Camaro. A good chunk of my worries faded
Ended up grabbing a 2020 LS Camaro
Stunning car although this video may be old I find relatable
I love the 1le. leaning towards a 5th gen 1le instead of a 6th gen 1le. 6th gen feels too small inside. It's quicker but tight. Beautiful 1le btw!
Thanks for your video. I used your content to better understand the Camaro. I’m thinking of getting one. But I was stuck between the Camaro or the Challenger. I’m 27 and ready for my first muscle car!
Sameee can’t decide between this the challenger and a gt mustang
What did ya end up getting?
Love my 2014 2SS only 23 thousand miles on it so we shall see how it holds up it was my dream car so hopefully money well spent
They hold up pretty good if you do the regular maintenance I have a 2011 with 216k and climbing and have only replaced the radiator and the stuff that wears but nothing major mine is the 2ss inferno orange l99 auto
@@toledohemi hey man how’s your camaro still holding up. buying one tomorrow

Nice! Love the kooks headers and corsa setup!
Dope bro!
I have the same one it’s a 14 tho! I have Corsa axle backs n x pipe.
About to do the intake roto fab, catch can n BMR strut tower first. Then ARH or Kooks headers! I like the scoop idea! Thanks for that. Running 285/35/20 fw and 305/35/20 rw Indy 500 competition tiers summer only! Fyi: even grip in da rain! Last ima drop a stg 2 cam!

Very nice!! Great commentary too!
This is a perfect video !!!!! Very descriptive taxing my ls 2014 for a 2ss 2014 Saturday this helped a lot 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I’m so jealous of your car that’s the exact same car I want like color everything you have in the car I want 😩 I’m only 16 years old and I’m ready to get a job to work for that car
You will get there! Stay motivated!!
I got a 2015 SS Camaro and gas mileage I get the same and I haven't done nothing to the car so you winning
Nice car! I Love my 2010 SS
Best looking year
i agree tune with those mods makes everything
i have almost the same setup with a custom tune from DSP Performance Motorsports.
it added around 50hp at the top rpm
My 14 looks just like urs! They are great cars. I have Corsa Axle Backs n x pipes. I’m glad you mentioned your tune. I’ve been wondering should I do one with so few mods. I didn’t know with tune you can get all 8 cylinders to stay alert. Thanks for the info!
No problem haha i waited until i went with headers to get the tune 👍
the term full bolt on is new to me
I love the looks of the 5th gen best. What was Chevy thinking when they changed the front end to a Transformer?
Sick af man👏🍻
Ese es el carro que yo me merezco y voy a obtener ya lo siento mio en mis manos , todas las mañanas veo este video y me visualizó manejando ese Camaro ss
Es todo compa!
I assume that exhaust setup is pretty rowdy on cold start right? I mean with it being the borla atak.
did you wrap the bowties emblems? i bought them black. love the build reminds me of mine!
Extremely sharp camaro!!
Just got my 2010 2ss 38k miles 🎉😊
I know you posted three years ago but I’m hoping you see this comment, 20 years old looking into buying one of these it has 63,000 miles and the listing is for $19,550 is a good price for that car
How has the car held up in the last three years?
Same set up Roto Fab intake, TSP 1 7/8 LTH , 3” x pipe , Borla Ataks, but I also did DOD/AFM delete, Stage 3 TSP cam, dyno put down 461/423
That’s awesome bro! I would love to cam mine but $$$ haha maybe in the future :) enjoy your ride!!
You have an Instagram?
Yes! @jakess707
Hey really nice car man. I was wondering if those are the gloss or satin ZL1 repro wheels? Looks like satin but just wanted to check. I just bought a black 2015 SS RS and I’m wanting to change out the stock silver painted wheels to black ones but can’t decide on gloss or satin. I’m with you, the 14-15 are the best looking out of all the 2010+ Camaros. I’ve wanted a black one ever since they were new and now I finally have one👍🏻
Love mine 2015 2ss daily driver have almost the same set up nothing but bolt on had to replace battery 106123 miles
Jus bought a 2015 Camaro 1SS yesterday 😇

Hi Jake love your Camaro! I have a '15 2LT with 45k miles and love it but want a v8 now lol. Do you still have it?
Does it have blind spot monitoring?
I’m buying mine tomorrow. I can’t wait 2015 2SS convertible
Can’t wait tell I get my SS
Looking at ‘15 SS right now, mean machine
Didn’t watch full video but did you do a afm delete like just tuning it out
I’m considering getting one. A 2015 LS with 60,000. My main concern is how has the car held up with rust? I like my cars to be as least rusty as possible like none at all 🤣
agree 2014 n 15 look best the new front end so ugly ! just got one its october but water comes out exhust and steam freaks me out does yours do this!!
Ok how reliable is this car ? How often would I need to have this car in a shop ? How much are the fixes ? Or is it rare for this Chevy Camaros to have any expensive fixes like the other muscle cars ?
157k on my 5th gen 2010 SS. FBO cammed w/circle D stall torque converter. Got nitrous on it now lol
That’s awesome!
Hey I’m looking into buying a 2SS 2015 this is my favorite car. This would be my first car besides my Chrysler 300m I really want this car but am kind of nervous due to the price, I’m nervous that I won’t like the car due to ppl saying the line of site etc. All in all how much do you enjoy this car?
I love this car. The visibility has never bothered me much as you can adjust your mirrors to view outside the vehicle clearly. For some people it may take a few days to get used to, but i can assure you it is worth it as this car is nothing but fun :)
SlickSS707 this would be my everyday car not jus a weekend toy.
@@ques215 This is my daily driver! I drive this car every single day in all weather conditions and I love it!
SlickSS707 thank you
I found a 2015 Camaro 2ss M6 1le track suspension with 34k miles. Price is $29,986. Does that sound resonable or high? It is really nice and has been taken care of.
$30K for a Camaro that’s been on the road since 2014 is crazy
What exhaust system do you have
Hi, have a 2010 SS love it, the added air scoop that was added with Roto Fab, can you tell me what you have or got it from? Wonder if they make one for the 2010. Thank you I’m advance
Thanks! I found mine on phastek.com
insane car bro
I love that car
What was your average gas mileage Before you did the mod to your engine? And is there any mod I can do to improve gas mileage?
Before the mods I was getting around 15 city and 25 on the highway (if I used cruise control). After the mods I am getting 14 -15 city and 24 highway. I believe that a tune where you tell your tuner that you want better gas milage might help with gas milage although I am not sure for sure!
@@jakess707 Do you know the difference between the 2014 and 2015. I can't find any info. I'm on my way to look at a 2014 now. When I originally called he said it was a 2015.
@@gets-it-in3658 There is absolutely no difference between the two!
I recently added some shorty headers to my 2014 Camaro 2SS but since then i got a couple of small issues my traction control stays in the off mode and i keep getting the service power steering message, looking for a insight on these problems before i'm force to go to the dealership.
thanks
Great Vid
Thanks!
how did you bypass the AFM ?
Your Camaro gauges are just like the 1969Z 28 gauges was a consult. The car looks like it’s 69 and away but the gauges interior looks a lot there the seats are uncomfortable and 69 but that gauges in the consul looks just like the 69 and the dashboard.
I noticed those wheels come in two sizes. 9x20 matched w 10x20 or 10x20 matched with 11x20 what widths are your wheels
How would I go on buying these? I love everything 5th gen but I want to make sure it isn’t a horror story: minimum miles for DD longevity? Pricing on parts? Aftermarket parts? I want to buy one around 25k miles (what’s the most I should be paying?) and run it down ‘till the engine blows. Most importantly, would like to know if I the AFM deactivation (tuning process difficult?) will assure longevity as it is been an issue in a handful of these. Informative video, thanks!
Honestly anything under 50k miles would be fine lol these cars are very strong in my opinion. Exhausts cost around 1k, headers also a little over 1k, intake around 250-300$,a dyno tune is around 600$. A good tuner can take care of afm easily
Handsome car! Nice
What wheels do you have and how much were they nice car by the way
They are factory reproductions for around $1,000
Is that stereo HD radio multicast?
do you have it lowered? if you so how much and what brand. Thank you
stock height!
i have the exact same car, color and everything, got it with 91k miles on it for $14,000. when i pay it off i will start the mods, i would like it to have 550 to the wheels
I got 1 more year on my 2014 SS.. I'm already getting ready for mods.. Starting off with a whipple, upgraded exhaust manifolds, and tune... Probably should upgrade the cooling system too huh?
@@lbb-ridge482 If your going whipple, then you will want to upgrade the fuel system also. You'll be going forced induction, meaning alot more air in. In order to properly use that air, you need more fuel (fuel pump, fuel injectors, lines etc.). Also you'll be dumping more air and fuel into the cylinders and you need a better way to get all of that out. So a larger full aftermarket exhaust should do, or just straight pipe the shit. And yes, you should absolutely do cooling and a catch can. You'll be adding a lot of power so make sure your back end is able to handle all of it (may have to upgrade the back end) and get some sticky boi tires so you can actually put it down. An aftermarket camshaft is also a very efficient and easy way to get more power out of the LS motor. Also cant forget about that signature LS CHOP CHOP 😈
@@lbb-ridge482 Good luck and make sure to take some 5.0's to gapplebees 😂😈 it's only right
@@divinemills1795 I read your whole list of suggestions and all I got out of it was: Cha CHING$$$$$$!!!!
Where did you get the rims? Also what size?
I've got the same car. I've had it for four years. It's totally stock but I've thought about upgrading it. Where did you get all your work done and how much all that cost?
make sure you get a custom tune..its the tune that gives the effect not the mods
Looking at the 2015 2SS Green Flash edition, thing is sick!
How much did it cost to shut off the AFM
i have the same exact camaro. i loveitsomuch

Hey Jake. I bought my 2015 SS camaro in Dec 2019. Just found out about the AFM. I'm thinking about disabling or deleting the AFM. My ? Is with deleting it. Did you have to change the camshaft & go to a standard oil pump & also plug the pressure relief valve to make it work properly
No you don’t have to do any of those things. Your tuner can simply tune it out or they have a `device called “range” o believe that shuts it off. If you do swap the cam it’s recommended to change the afm lifters though!
What is the scoop at 16:15?
I own a 2015 camaro 2ss and I always wondered if afm affects performance?
The L99 in the automatic has less power due to a lower compression ratio compared to the LS3 i believe. I just felt when afm kicked in it felt sluggish
@@jakess707 ahh ok. I always wondered because since it’s in “v4” mode then goes to v8 it would take some a little bit of extra time to go faster. If that makes sense. I have an automatic transmission in mine
