If i could ask one question. Does this speakers makes separate rear chanels or they just imitates the stereo sound ? I am asking because my soundbar is a kind of the low budgets (Samsung M360). Thank you in adavnce.
To raise your rear speaker volume this what you need to do!
Press the settings button til you get to “Rear Speakers” and then hold down the settings button. The screen will now say “Rear Level” and now you can press the up button to increase the volume

There is no "settings" button on my remote. This video was posted over a year ago. I just purchased mine (Sept. 2020) and the remote is different than the one in this video. I find the rear speakers to be under powered. Granted, compared to other surround sounds this is modestly priced, but also, (so far) I'm not hearing anything that warrants my purchasing this product. (Mine came with the main sound bar, not as an accessory purchase.)

It messed up my HDMI ARC settings, it now only shows as HDMI with no sound coming out. I had to connect everything through bluetooth now. The rear speaker shows blue but still no sound coming from it and have put it on surround and tested 5.1 videos , what a drama to set it up.

@@MerhlinsPlace I had to restart my tv and not turn off on standby. Also another tip is to lower the mid speaker soundbar volume to hear more depth from your subwoofer and rear speakers.
Good, honest review. I bought these today. I wish I’d seen your video before purchasing. It’s just like you said. If you’re into movies a lot, it’ll be a good experience. For just regular tv, sitcoms, news, talking, it will not make a difference at all. The sound bar is more than enough (even for movies).
It will add cool noises in the back. That’s all. $100 worth? Meh I’ve spent more on less but I’m not proud of this purchase.
big disclaimer....right!!! Going to install a soundbar kit that has the sub and this model speaker set in it. Samsung support will lead you in a circle with their interpretation of wireless and wired. A lot of their tech support people do not have a background in home theater.

Hello Juan, question when I toggle over to rear speakers and try to lower or raise the volume it lowers or raises the volume all together. How do I just do the rear speakers?
Same problem here. I feel like rear sound is a too low.

I got these speakers for free from Samsung as a gift from working for T Mobile and selling a lot of their products. It’s still in the box and never been opened. I’m assuming I have to buy a Samsung sound bar to even utilize them or can they work independently?
In theory, would the transmitter box work with a pair of speakers that aren't the included ones?

I just got the 9000s set. Not sure what the difference is except the price and I ordered 2 more back speakers and 2 mini amps. Can I run 4 wires from the main unit to the amps and run 2 speakers from each amp? Sorry if my questions are confusing. If you don’t know that’s ok. I will let you know when I get it all hooked up. Should be around the 28th.
I believe you can. I haven't seen it done yet but I wouldn't see why it would not work. Looking forward to hearing how it goes.
@@JuanCamacho21 Dang I think I may have found the difference. The HW Q6CR has a Micro usb in for the soundbar and the 9000 has a usb C for the transmitter. The manual shows the 8500 is compatible and I assumed the 9000 would be the same. Did you notice if yours was a Micro USB? I'm going to have to return it and get the 8500 if it is the Micro B.
After lots of calls and videos I think I have some things figured out. The 9000 has a transmitter you plug into the sound bar. The 8500 has only the receiver and so you guys with the 8500 probably have no idea what i am talking about . I returned the 9000 and will have the 8500 tomorrow. Wish me luck. I will let you know how it comes out. I learned a lot about multiple speaker hook ups also so we will see.

@@JuanCamacho21 Ok I hooked up the 8500s and it worked out good. I love the sound so i am not sure if I will hook up the extra speakers and amp as I don't think I need them. People were saying that the sound was to low but mine seem just right. I would love to see the review on the 9000. Thanks for the help. Keep up the good work.

I have the Samsung HW Q70R soundbar, which supports Dolby Atmos, when I connect the rear speaker kit, will the soundbar be able to delivery Dolby Atmos content with the rear speaker connected? Are they work together with Dolby Atmos? Thank you!

Tengo los speakers Swa9000s y no se escuchan casi nada tengo que pegar mis oídos para recién poder escucharlos, le subí el volumen a 6 y nada y cuando subo el volumen de mi barra q80t suena como un chillido, por ahí estuve averiguando y dicen que pasa eso con sonido Dolby true HD o Atmos. Aún no lo pruebo en mi ps5 que no cuenta con Atmos haber como me va, si podrías darme alguna solución te lo agradecería.
Nebraska Furniture Mart sells this for $267 it includes the sound bar and subwoofer. I may look into getting roku actual wireless speakers for my roku tv.

I just got a q70r and a set of these rears and the rears are very good for movies I use stranded mode as i don't like the fake effect and I watch movies in true Sound codec and its amazing I have gone from the logitech z906 to this and it was way better clarity bass I good not as thumping as the logitech but close. With z906 had wires runing everywhere and optical cables for all divices but now just Hdmi ARC and 4k BD in hdmi in and atmos is Amazing

How did you guys get any volume for these? I got the q80r have the rear volume all the way up I’m like 3-4 way for the rears and barely hear anything I have to get the speakers and put them on my ear just to make sure they are even working

You have to make sure the metal on the speaker wire makes contact with the actual metal when you insert them into the speakers. If you push the wires in too far (I did this) they wont make contact and you will get nothing.

A question in my mind for a Long time , can we hook up to TWO sets of SWA-8500s to One set of Samsung Hr-q70, now I have one set of surround speakers (2 piece ) connected, thought of adding another 2 more surround speakers , total 4 surround speakers to one Samsung sound bar, can it support? That's a great question. I would think you could because of how the wires are connected to the receiver, but I haven't seen anyone do this before.
Hi Juan! Will you be able to confirm whether I need step down converter to use this in India (110v to 220v) or is it a dual / free voltage product (could be mentioned on box). We don't get it in India, hence need to import it from US. Thanks

It’s at the beginning with me giving my thoughts. It’s hard to give an actual sound review because everyone has different speakers and it doesn’t come out with the actual clarity of how they perform.

Guys I have a question, the does the blue light on your swa8500s wireless box turn red when you turn your tv or sound bar off? or does it stay blue when you turn off the sound bar / tv?, Because mines turns red when my sound bar is off I don't know if that's normal

I have a Q60t soundbar. Do the rear speakers make it 7.1 or still 5.1?
Q60T is just 3.1 and only if you add rear speaker it will work like 5.1
I connected these rear speakers to my HW-Q80 but I wanted more volume and I did as you showed by choosing “Rear” from the soundbar and used the “Volume” button, but it raised all speaker not just rear. What am I doing wrong ?
Did you try on the soundbar remote instead of the tv remote?
@ Juan Camacho - I used the sound bar remote Volume button which raises volume for all rear speakers not just rear. Please verify at your end and confirm. I feel all you can control is on/off rears speakers using up/down circular keys on soundbar remote thats it.
It wasn't your fault. The instructions are bad that Samsung's reps don't understand the product. To adjust rear speaker volume, click on the SOUND SETTINGS button (which on my remote looks like a cog.) Press it until REAR SPEAKERS displays, then WAIT! After showing you that it will say REAR SPEAKER VOLUME, then WAIT! A number will show up (usually zero) the use the UP arrow to increase to your desired volume (0-6)
I followed the instructions you have mentioned but after waiting it just rolls text rear speaker then shows ‘ON’ thats it after that it shows TV ARC the mode i connected the sound bar. So still no luck to increase the volume of rear speakers. The concept you mentioned that using up/down holds good for TRE Or Bass etc but not for rear speakers in my case. My sound bar model is HW-Q67CT/ZA includes SW 8500S rear speakers.

It depends on if you watch a lot of movies. If you just watch regular TV I would say no. If you get into a lot of movie nights then yes.

I'm having a hard time trying to decide to purchase. I have the m450 Soundbar and woofer in my bedroom they are amazing because the sound in my 2014 TV has the DTS Neo 2.5 setting. Unfortunately I am truly upset with my new Samsung 2019 4K TV Samsung took away the DTS Neo 2.5 in the newer models and just left you with the PCM and digital Dolby. Speakers are misleading because I thought they were Wireless I don't want any wires running down my wall, this is a deal-breaker for me. Does Samsung have any real true wireless speakers?
I am not sure if they have true wireless speakers, at least I haven't seen them. I was able to hide the wires behind the couch and they were less noticeable.
@@JuanCamacho21 thanks but if you hide them behind the couch that's what I did but when you put them towards the ceiling you can still see the wires. Did you not go in the corner in the ceiling did you go lower in the corners?
@@ladymax23 I just got these and set them up on these speaker stands. Then tucked the speakers on their stands neatly behind my sofa. It all looks very clean. The only thing to keep in mind is that these particular rear speakers have a non-standard keyhole back so you will need to file it out a little to get them to work. Aw, I just bought these and now I regret. Hopefully when they come my experience will be different. I have the same soundbar, got it late last year. It's just not as great as I thought it would be which is why I got the rear speaker set. I watch a lot of RUclips videos, play games, and watch some movies. Hope I like it.

@@JuanCamacho21 Got 'em and love them! Was really skeptical but I got them set up 6 inches behind the sofa. Soundbar is 5'5" from our seat. TV is 6ft away. (only 50 inch TV so this close is appropriate) It all sounds wonderful now and I'm really happy with it. That said, I wouldn't recommend this soundbar for a TV over 50" or if you're sitting more than 7 or 8 ft. away.

Tom these are currently going for $99 and the 9000s go for $179. I think you get more bang for your buck with the 8500s.

Been waiting for these things to go on sale but seems like they rarely do..
Peter Parka I’ve seen these on sale myself at least 3 times this year. Best Buy had them for $99 a couple months ago. They’re currently on sale right now on Amazon for $121.20, but I’m sure they’ll be on sale for under $100 again by the end of the year.
If I’m being honest, these are more than worth the $130 they’re normally sold for.

I have nothing against the whole presentation. Your presentation is awesome. I would like to ask though, why does your screen have a blurry flicker. I need to pause a minute because I thought suddenly I am having vision problems. It turns out it's only your video. It left me with a little headache..
Thanks for watching and the kind comment. I am not sure why it does that on the RUclips end. It certainly doesn't do that in person. Probably just the way the camera picks it up.
These wireless rear speaker kit are only useful when watching any movies encoded with 5.1 surround sound or Dolby Atmos or DTS:X surround sound format

Do yourself a favor and just buy an AVR receiver with Dolby Atmos way better you'll never get the sound out of that crap
