Fyi, the foam is a huge part of the drink, you're supposed to pour it all out from the shaker, no extra ice needed.

This is my new favorite Starbucks drink! I spend too much buying them from Starbucks, and most of the time they make it horribly but when they do make it perfect it’s amazing. Gonna have to try this and save some money. Great video!!!!

Our local shop gives four shots in a grande equivalent size and five in a venti size. It’s nuts
lol for any and every grande I always have 4 shots and for venti size I always have 6 shots lmao
Drip coffee has WAY more caffeine. One shot of espresso has roughly 65mg of caffeine. 12oz of coffee has about 135mg of caffeine. A can of coke has about 35mg of caffeine. So depending on your caffeine tolerance, espresso doesn’t contain all that much caffeine 🤷♀️

Ooooh yes I'm going to have to try! Oatly has been a coffee staple of mine for years now. I never use cow's milk in my coffee anymore. It might help with creaminess if you use the barista version of the Oatly (the smaller gray carton), OR I prefer the dark blue Oatly that's "full fat" which I think works just as well, and you get more bang for your buck. But it looks like I'm gonna need to make some brown sugar syrup today! Thank you for this!

It's basically an Iced Starbucks double shot with oat milk and brown sugar syrup instead of regular milk and classic syrup. The double shots also come with 3 shots for a grande or 4 shots for a Venti even though it's called a double shot lol
The Starbucks double shot has been discontinued the shaken ice espresso is a rebrand of the drinks syrup and shot amounts differ slightly from the original
Good to know, I worked at Starbucks for five years and left the company last year so must have been some changes since then lol

It was pretty good
Unless you need the extra caffeine or are an espresso aficionado you can make this with french roast (or other dark roast coffee) and it tastes just as good, IMO.

Matcha powder - a couple spoons in a jar of water
Shake the jar
Refrigerate til cold
Add a bit of the matcha drink with some milk and sweetener

There is also decaf espresso! That’s what I use!
I made this at home. It was good but I used instant espresso (i don't have an espresso machine) I'm guessing it would probably taste better with actual espresso shots. The syrup was good fs. I'll probably make this again.
Thanks for the recipe! I made one just now. I melted a little salted grassfed butter into my syrup before adding the syrup to shake with my espresso. *gushing It's soooo good.

Excellent recipe. Get a cheap milk frother to foam up that oat milk. Cold foam is delightful.
Made this with almond milk bc someone decided to drink all my oat milk, but no one likes oat milk 🙄. I made it hot and it was so good. Thanks for the recipe.

My husband and i noticed that switching the coffee we use made a huge difference. We use the Starbucks blonde espresso pods for the nespresso and it tastes much much closer

@@christine_unique I haven't liked any of those. We've enjoyed a homemade syrup more. Amazon has the giant ones starbucks uses. But they're like $50+ sometimes

yes I think it can last for a week or 2 in a sealed container in the fridge! just beware because it does solidify over time. when you make it dont let it simmer for long!

I fill my cup with however much ice I want, then throw that in a shaker with the ingredients and then pour it all back into my cup, foam and all. But I use an 8 oz glass instead of a 16 oz, and use half the amount of milk and syrup. But that’s cuz I like a stronger tasting drink with my 2 shots of espresso

It’s good for about 2 weeks in the fridge! It does start to harden though which makes it harder to work with

You were supposed to put everything that in the Shaker into a glass and then add milk 🥛

I would like an espresso machine that Nespresso but I’m worried about the plastic leaching into the coffee when it gets hot any suggestions or should I just get the old fashion metal one which takes longer I don’t know
I'm not sure how to go without the plastic, but the Nespresso is a cheaper alternative to several other espresso makers! and in my opinion, the espresso tastes great. you could try a moka pot ☺️

If you buy the ground coffee make 3 spoons of coffee with like 6oz of water then it will be strong enough like a espresso.

Also you want the bubbles this is not a latte the foam goes on top then you add the milk till the foam reaches the top of your cup
