Love the perspective about what hunting means to you and what it is mostly about. Had me smiling and a little teary eyed 🥹 just remembering how my brothers and my Dad use to go hunting together
Sorry to hear about Tucker. You know it's coming, but it's still tough. Lost my best pal and hunting partner of 13 years, my GSP Taz, in December 2022. Lot's of great memories of Chukar, Hun, California Quail, and Pheasant hunts (and 3 days in southeast Idaho, chasing Sharptails).
Great words and video! The people and dogs in our past and present that make these experiences possible won't ever be forgotten. I never hunted with my Grandfather, but he instilled birds into my life with his farm, raising exotics and teaching me about them. A great tribute to Tucker and sorry for your loss. I may shot my last bird over Stanley last week, but at 15 1/2, he's earned his retirement. All the best to ones in our memories and present day!
Leave it to George to make my eyes leak. Our dogs don't leave us, they're just waiting on the far end of the meadow, on point, waiting for us to join them.
Sorry about your pup! You probably would have hit those birds if your gun was fitted to you! LOL Im kidding of course. Its a long standing conversation I have with people. I know you can shoot because Ive enjoyed watching you over the years. But, it sure is harder on wild bird with trees, rocks and when you're out of breath while standing on a slide slope.

Hello, what is the product you put on your dogs sore paws?
Like I’ve always explained it. The shot birds are just a byproduct of the whole experience.
