*I LOVE this movie, I don't care what anyone says. I remember seeing this in theaters in 1999. Great memories. This classic turns 24 today.* ❤
I’m 35 now still remember me watching this movie in theatre and made me to fear sea. Still have some fear sensation. It was one of the scariest experience I had in theatre and love this movie.
This was one the best movies from the ninties and hard to believe it was released in movie theaters 20 years at the end of July doesn't seem like that long ago.
As a kid this came on really late at night one day right when I was about to go to bed. A distinctly remember making fun of the name deep blue sea and thinking it was going to be some dumb movie. But for whatever reason I decided to stay up a bit longer to see the beginning. It was a bit of a slow start but eventually I was hooked and blown away by how good it was in the end. One of my best movie memories as a kid.
This movie was the reason why i loved shark movies when i was younger
So glad this movie is getting some much deserved love.
In my opinion Deep Blue Sea was good but the ending was awful. They should have stuck with the original ending where Susan, Carter and Preacher all lived and Susan redeeming herself by blowing up the final shark and Carter and Preacher watching the shark blow up. And all three get rescued. That would've been so much better than the copout ending we got
@@josefengelhardt2767yeah blame the test audiences for that
@@josefengelhardt2767The ending is still great and made Susan an iconic film character.
Was the first R rated movie I got to see in the theater. And loved every moment of it. Still the best shark movie after Jaws.
Honest Trailers said Sharknado was better than this movie... I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
No stay with us, Jaws is the best shark movie ever remember, along with this and The Shallows
yea the shallows is good 2
Didn't they say it ironically?
IKR I mean this movie is epic
When You Realize that This and Anaconda are one of those few Horror Movies (Creature Flick in this case) in which the Black Dude Survived The Entire Movie (Coincidence both are some of 90s Greatest Rappers)
Haha yes i know from the start that LL cool J will survive like ice cube survived in anaconda
Of course he survives, otherwise how would he have made the back track for this movie?
LL Cool J had his prime in the 80's
LL also survived a Halloween movie , hah
Halloween H20?
One of the greatest shark movies produced.
The storyline was way ahead of its time))
Best shark movie since jaws
I agree. Deep blue sea and Jaws 1 and 2 are my favorite shark movies.
Agree
Yup Jaws and Deep Blue Sea are the only shark movies worth watching
Better than jaws

Damn, i remember this movie like it was yesterday in the early 2000's. Life was simple back then
Well said.
One of the best movies of my childhood 😭😭 growing up

Back when trailers were good.
Meh, this one was too 90s for me.
ah yes the “old = good, new = bad” comment
How are trailers not good now? What does that even mean😂😂🤦♂️
@@stevenscrewmeverse2285 they spoil the entire movie or scenes that would have been better left out so as to surprise viewers while watching it in the theater. Case in point: doomsday reveal in BvS trailer, and Spider-Man reveal in Civil War trailer.
@@locomojoboy2 kind of like in the deep blue sea trailer when you see the shark throw the professor against the glass and the whole thing smashes....
This along with Jaws, The Shallows, 47 Meters down, 47 Meters down uncaged, Bait 3D and The Meg are the best for me in my own opinion,
And what about Anaconda 1997
@@mahendrarathore360 Anaconda is a snake movie, not a Shark movie.
So basically every shark film? 😂
@@MarieA38 do you know how many shark movies exist 😹

Best shark movie ever. Sam Jackson getting abruptly eaten by a shark is still one of the best kills in any movie ever.
"Deep Blue Sea" (1999) "Official Trailer - I have this on DVD. It's pretty creepy, cheesy, campy, corny & has lots of great Special Effects. It's got some frightening parts. I like this movie as well. I need to watch It again. I love Thomas Jane, LL Cool J. Samuel L. Jackson & Saffron Burrows. I still remember seeing this movie in the theatre back in the day. It was pretty creepy & very exciting to me. It has some some twists & turns. Still a fun shark movie to watch in my library.....SSSSSS.....
1:34 wtf that is nightmare fuel
this movie gave me anxiety towards sharks and stuff being sunk underwater :") but i love this movie... best one yet in its time
i watched this movie when i was a kid and it made me forever scared of the ocean lol I'm 27 and still frightened
I've seen this as a kid in a cinema and I'm honestly baffled that I don't have any trauma lol
You're more likely to die in a car wreck than in the ocean as shark attacks aren't as common as people think so don't be afraid. I'm an Aussie who's been swimming in our WA waters and Perth rivers where sharks are sighted a lot and I'm still here with all my limbs attached. I kicked something moving and solid that was under me while swimming in a spot tiger and bull sharks come through often and even though a tiger had been seen the day before right where I was wading, it left me alone if it were a shark. Could've been a dolphin though🤔
I saw this movie when I was a kid, and I'm 27 too and still just as scared of the ocean as I was after watching this movie in the early 2000s.
Best trailer ever.
i was 6 years old at the movies and i still remember watching this movie with my family time flies 😭😭 💗
THIS IS THE BEST SHARK MOVIE EVER
Jaws is a classic but this is the best shark movie in my opinion. Great action/horror film
Deep blue sea will always be the king the way they did it
Still the best in the series. I still remember seeing this for the first time. Funny enough it was in bestbuy. They had it playing on the demo TVs and I watched it while my parents were getting a computer and talking to the associates.
I watched it in the theatre when I was in 10th grade, 90's was the best era of watching Hollywood movies and now it's almost two decades, time flies so fast.
Such a great film. This trailer does not do it justice AT ALL
My dad showed me this movie when I was 3 it’s been my favourite movie since I can’t believe it’s so old now.
What you think it's taking superman power an hair too
i watched this film back in my childhood. and it gave me phobia of water.
This movie is great and has good actors who did their jobs extremely well. Not all shark movies of the day were as good as this one - it contains every element one would want to be scared and stumped to the point of screaming and holding our breath. The compound was elaborate, the technical terms up to standards of the day and it didn't disappoint. Good writing and execution. It must of been a challenge to film and act under water --- Love LL in that role - each one were given a role they played well and was believable. Thanks.
The practical effects and ost for this movie are so dope
Have owned this for years. I first had it on tape after doing the ol' 90s/early 2000s thing and recording it off the TV. Have owned the DVD for ages. DBS and The Mist are definitely my favourite Thomas Jane movies.
Edit - Thomas swam alongside a real shark in one or two scenes for DBS but would've been when swimming in the worker's cage. Can't remember exactly which scenes.
I saw that as a kid. Such a good movie.
One of the best shark movies ever
Happy 20th anniversary Deep Blue Sea July 30 1999- July 30 2019
im proud to be born on july 30th
Solid movie. Watched it last night. Saffron Burrows and Thomas Jane are underrated as hell dont get how they haven't had bigger careers.
Deep Blue Sea is one of my favorite Shark Movie ever too so much.
My favourite shark film - even though it’s my first when I was like 12 - so nostalgic
Good balance of animatronic & CGI 👌🏼
Thomas Jane actually swims alongside a real shark in a scene or two. I can't remember which ones but I'd say it's when he's swimming in the long worker's cage.
Love Sam Jackson’s character arc.
This movie was so good! I watched when I was little and being looking for this movie since then!
I love this movie.
Same me too.
I loved this movie growing up.
Deep blue sea is the best shark movie of all time!!
One of my favorite Sharks movies!!👍
I like how Thomas Jane is barely in the trailer yet he’s like the lead
Notice how in the trailer they show Samuel a lot and also use his lines a lot cos he’s the biggest box office star of the whole cast lol
The best shark movies I ever seen.
Remember when my dad bought this film for the house when he got a dvd player scared me but I enjoyed the film since I always liked sharks as a kid
The best shark movie l have ever seen in my life
Best shark movie I’ve seen since Jaws
The movie turns 20 today!
Barely remember it except Sam Jackson and the shark
I remember that movie back in 1999
If u are in the mood for comedy, this is pretty good and entertaining. Great scenes and satisfying ending 😂
Happy 25th anniversary to this action packed sci-fi thriller. One of my favs after Jaws
Wow!, an excellent movie. It has good camera even though it is from 1999. A very good story and many surprising attacks. In my list it is the 3rd best movies after jaws and jaws 2
Beautiful title for a scary movie. It makes it even more unsettling.
One of the rare movies where they actually live up to their previews and are better than them.
Back when shark movies were ACTUALLY GOOD!
Before sharknado
Here for the 21st anniversary of this movie!
This trailer is awesome,
and movie is good.
Tom Jane running around half clothed is enough to make this worth a watch.
I had a crush on him when I was a kid. I still have a crush on him Because of this film
I think it's the best shark movie ever. I know about the Jaws legacy ok and I've watched this film, but Jaws was so boring until last 30 minutes. Deep blue sea was so well made, and it had so much action, awesome characters.
Agreed! Watched it for the 2nd time today after 21 years. The 1st was in 1999 during high school and it kept me at the edge of my seat. Awesome movie!
Are you serious? Jaws isn't a classic for nothing. What made that movie so great and suspenseful was the fact that there wasn't much action and the way they didn't show the shark often. The shark not working was a blessing in disguise for that film because if it did work and they showed it too much, it would have ruined all the great and clever ways they had the shark be present without showing all of it too soon. Jaws has great, well written and very human characters that you could root for and worry about them. In my opinion the characters in deep blue sea are serviceable but no where near as memorable as the ones in Jaws. They're just kind of one dimensional and some where even there to just be killed. I mean, if you like this movie more that is your opinion and it's fine, I just disagree with what you're saying. There are movies people love that I think are overrated. But one dimensional characters, bad CGI and constant action doesn't necessarily make a great movie.
Plus It Re Minded You Not To Fool With Mother Nature Or At Least Think First
Best trailer I've ever seen.

10 years of this! Wow
Back in the day when the shark films were actually REAL!
Today, all the technology usage ruins the qualities and realism of the films.
It feels great to be a 90s child.

One of my fav movies growin up
This and Jaws are the best shark movies of all time.
This is the most iconic movie of shark. According to me its no.1 shark movie with great story and cast❤one of my most favorite movie 🥰
Saffron Burrows is the sacrificial lamb in the movie. Her death scene is symbolic in the movie. She offered herself to the sharks because she's not a virgin anymore. And they followed the Horror movie rule number 1 that in order for you to survive you need to be a virgin. To have her front and center in the poster and die at the very last minute, It solidified her as a scream queen in the movie.
Wtf are you on about?
@@nothanks1239 Yeah. I'm with you, mate. They lost me🤷🏻♀️

They dont make trailers like this any more ♥️ like that voice all old and good disney movie voice
sharks are one of natures "winning designs" and crucial to nature ! it is quite vexing how movie makers turn them into monsters cause the average joe does not understand them . I think they are stunning . just look at them , they are the Porsche of the ocean
We want a 4K release now.
Great Movie PERIOD!!! 2020.
Love this movie ❤
Can someone explain to me how Carter gets the shark on the platform after he darts it 😂? I watched this movie when it first came out and it looked so real. I just watched it today and it still looks pretty good. Its like 007 Goldeneye and Mario 64 for Nintendo 64, its never ages.
There are several things in this movie. Like in a state of the art facility with scientist and doctors nobody can suture the arm of the dude. 🤔
