Fanstatic panoramic view from bridge to horses, tents, etc. Loved the parade and hearing the echoy singing voices in the courtyard. Yes to tidying up the corner balcony with tiles and plaster, coming along... now you have smoke alarms! Next you move on to electric & plumbing the kitchen, oh how 'useful', lol. Summer coming to end, Fall colorful season approaching. Stay well everyone.
Gorgeous sunset when you were filming the medieval festival. LOVED seeing the festival--those people really got into it, looked really nice! Thanks for sharing it. 😃
I live in a similar mountain village in Greece. Those little pots would dry out in one day. Think about getting much bigger pots and planting something like oleander, olive tree, trumpet vine or maybe bougainvillaea under a trellis. You would still need some kind of watering system.
Interesting video, with the festival views and the finishing of the wall. It's a good idea to have smoke alarms, too. That set up looks very efficient.
From experience don't have any plants. They die through lack of water, weeds then grow and the seeds spread into the brickwork. When it does rain it splashes the soil over the wall and floor. We had a veranda broken up this way.
Congratulations on I think your first sponsorship item Ralf 😁, I have similar smoke detectors and yep are great 👌🏻. Nice idea using tiles to cap wall. Oh I love a good Grand Opening Ralf and when it’s my mouth opening it allows the beer 🍺 to flow down smoothly 😂, can’t get much grander than that.
I have a wired up whole house wired alarm system in this house, so know them well. I noticed you have to take the whole Alarm off its base to replace or insert the battery, most likely yearly too as mine are that way. My alarms had to be replaced after 10 years as suggested by maker, so now better they have a little door underneath to push and they open to change out batteries, so no more taking each one off it’s base by twisting off, so much better than taking the whole thing of off it’s base and working above your head, especially for us shorter women that dislikes heights at any time. Glad you got them installed. Make sure your wife can reach them too as you may not be home when they go off and you’re away. I enjoyed your episodes this summer. Thank you for sharing them. Your boys are growing tall now, nice to see you all. I am heading home to UK., in a few days for some good fish and chips and other things I miss too, on my usual regularly trip. All the best, M.
It seems like most smoke alarms are indeed installed at higher positions, necessitating the use of a ladder for battery replacement. And the process of detaching the main body of the smoke alarm by just twisting it off looks quite convenient in the video. I also noticed that most hardwired systems lack mobile remote control and notifications. Does your system include these features?
The good thing about having them connected to wifi and an app is that I can reset them from anywhere in the world, but more importantly I’ll know when they go off and can chack the cameras to ser what’s going on.
Linked smoke alarms are now mandatory in Scotland. They can be hard wired or sealed battery units with minimum 10yr battery life. This includes all properties including owner occupied or rented.
Those smoke alarms are unreal here in Australia we don’t have anything like that . We have interacted smoke alarms and the batteries last for 10 yrs . The parade and the fair for the medieval seems to have gone of with a bang . Do you and the Family think that in the future that you will live there permanently of just keep it as a holiday home and how beautiful the scenery looks there . Looking forward to seeing the next video.
Regarding the smoke alarms, how is a person supposed to turn off the alarms when the thingoes offf. Too hard to reach from a ladder ( being a senior). Can't there be ome you dont have to put up so high? Sorry cant afford a smart phone.
Most smoke detectors are indeed required to be installed at higher positions, such as the center of the ceiling or on walls near the ceiling to ensure that smoke can be detected in the early stages. There is a big silence button on the alarm by which you can turn off the sound using a stick
Well, they are designed to be used with a smart phone, and then you can turn them off from the app. On the whole though, if they go off, turning them off is the last of your worries!
Depends on the model of smoke alarm. They are put up high cause smoke rises. Obviously not the most practical for people with high ceilings. But I use a telescopic pole to test mine / switch off on 12ft ceilings.
Not 100% sure that a smoke alarm in the kitchen is a great idea...... it's not like you wat an alarm for burnt toast. Bedrooms, living rooms, main hallway would be a good place for them IMHO
The festival looks super fun 😊
Thanks for sharing the medieval festival 😊
Nice one see you in the next one👍🤗
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤

Thanks for showing us the medieval festival. Good to see re-enactments in such a historic setting. 😊
Thanks for sharing your side of the world

Always enjoy your videos. Cheers from Oz 😊

forget those wall mounted plastic tubs, they will need watering every day!!!
In the end we bought terracotta ones
They will dry out even quicker

Those pots will dry out in no time. What about some nice tiles ?
Reminds me of Manrique on Lanzerote

I think once the kids leave home we’ll spend a lot more time here, but winters probably stay in the Alps!
So the bridge trembles when you walk on it? It looks so sturdy…
I think it used to tremble back in the middle ages, but these days it’s as sturdy as any Italian bridge..
Did you put one of the detectors in your future kitchen to see if the base picks up through rock?
They work on the Wifi network so that should work everywhere
The pots seem a little small onscreen.
Leave your hair alone!!! You still have it.
Lol
😂
😂😂
Back to the Italian jobs. More improvements await.
Very spiffy alarms
✨🌞✨
❤
Did you replace the smokestack
I did

Ah don't paint over the mural! It's fab. In fact could your wife do more?
Or give her other walls to paint - I like her artwork ❤
Or integrate art work and plant pots?
It’s not a “ BANKSY “ lol 😂
@@kevinnye5132 Interesting but black and white? Suits the light in the uk
@@maggiegray1698 Yes we are a very plain grey country 😁 I don’t have any colour in my life at all ☹️

Mettere le tegole senza pendenza NON è un buon lavoro 😮 , poi non capisco perché la stufa a pellet ha fatto fumo, la mia non l'ha mai fatto
