    today's video is the acceleration comparison of the M340d and the Audi S4 TDI.
    Both have 6-cylinder diesel, ~340HP, and both are estates.

      He compares fair m340d and s4 got nearly the same engine stats, but he tried the s4 with winter tires, I’d prefer if he‘d test both cars with the same tires

    Both cars are so evenly matched, if you go for comfort over driving thrills get the audi which is the better one for my taste

      In some cases the S4 is to comfortable
      So the suspension (even in dynamic) is too soft

      @@CarPerformanceMedianot a bad thing, these are diesels, im looking at these for power, comfort and good fuel economy, if i wanted sportier id look at a m340i

    The BMW can launch even a bit better with some boost build up. Nice comparison.

      Die haben mittlerweile ja auch die Größe von 5er/A6 von vor 10 Jahren.
      Dazu noch der schwerere Diesel, Mild-Hybrid und Allrad und jede Menge Passive Sicherheit, Ausstattung und Sensoren. Autos sind die letzten 20 Jahre alle immer schwerer geworden. Deine 5er und A6 knacken beide die 2t.

      But Audi has the weight advantage plus it has 18” wheels and bmw has 19”

    Would have expected better times for those at 340bhp as my stage 1 330d does the 100-200 in the high 12s to low 13s. Not overly impressed with the 340d times.

      Well you’re tuned. Depending on how aggressive the tune is, it’s most likely making more power and torque than a stock M340d and it’s possible that your car is lighter if it’s rwd.
      The M340d is more than just a more powerful 330d, it has a different engine, limited slip differential, and a few more things that the 330d doesn’t have.
      The 330d uses the O0 spec B57 while the M340d uses the T0 spec, something like the M550d uses the S0 spec, the highest spec Bmw offers, not including Alpina versions.
      If you compare a 540i Lci and M340i, the M340i uses an O1 spec while the 540i uses M1 spec. Stronger internals and different parts, but both are still B58’s.

    Super wenn die Kisten schnell von 0 auf 100 kommen. Was mir aber vll eher das Leben retten könnte wäre von 100 auf 0.
    Daher wäre bei solchen "Raketen" auch ein Bremsentest angebracht
