The right manager can maximize the outcome from the resources he has at his disposal. Leverkusen and Aston Villa were fighting for relegation in the middle of last season before Alonso and Emery were appointed to fix the rot. Both clubs ended the season in the Europa League position with pretty much the same sets of players. Both clubs have continued their improvements this season (especially Leverkusen).

Due to this the ball wasn't near Mount often enough to see his off the ball ability both in, and out of possession.
Did you know Hojlund may have the physical attributes to play striker, but not to play leftback or goalkeeper?

How many managers are we going to change? Did u watch Eth first season? So do u think any manger would get anything better out of these players? Hell no. We need good structures in place and an overhaul of our squad and I think the medical team also looking at the number of injuries and how they have rushed some players after injuries. I believe with the right structures and an overhaul of the squad we are good to go with Eth cuz of what he did with Ajax and man u in his first season

Do u think most of those players were his first choice? Look wat happened to Ole, Jose, Van Gal and others, were they bad mangers? and u still think our problems lie with changing managers... Then come again cuz if the toxic environment is not dealt with no managers can succeed at man Utd. Shortcoming of basic issues: (1) no control when in possession (2) wingers which first task is to assist, not to score inverted goals and (3) bad positioning from goal keeper, although he's strong with ball on his foot.

The only thing I would argue against is the claim that we don't have oatterns of play. Even with a fully fit squad, we don't have 11 players across the pitch that can play in a unified style, the chain will always fail when there is a weak link and I would argue that we have way more than one at any given time.
Not defending EtH but suggesting that any manager, with this squad, would struggle to get abything going with them.

This is what worries me as a Liverpool fan, ETH did better in Holland than Slot and can't cut it in the PL. Feyenoord are miles behind PSV this season. I can see us struggling next season as well especially as Klopp's DNA runs right through the club. Tuchel did ok at Chelsea, won a CL and got them to finals, he might be able to turn things around if he goes to MU.
I think the main issue is the training..our fitness levels are not up to scratch!
