    I showed my family this SUPER COOL magic card trick, and their jaws dropped when the card supposedly teleported!!! My mom couldn't stop staring at the card, and my dad kept saying, "That did NOT JUST HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" They were so excited and amazed, and it felt awesome to see their reactions! Also, I love performing such tricks coz they make me feel like I've actually achieved something, performing sleights right in front of the spectator's eyes! Thank you SOO MUCH for teaching such amazing card tricks on your channel! 🤩❤

    So, my favorite reaction when I’m doing a magic trick? Definitely the one with the marked deck. You know, that moment when the cards spill their secrets, and the audience’s eyes widen? .It’s like a little spark of wonder in the room. And when I reveal the chosen card, the gasps and everything? When I did the trick my spectator's jaw just dropped and had no clue what js going on 😂 I loved it! Electric. Makes it a memory worth keeping!

    I won last time, so I'll take myself out of the running for this one, but I have to tell you about my favorite reaction. I was a missionary for my church 30 years ago. I performed a trick that required some double sided cards to work, but the effect was truly amazing. Cards they saw right in front of them a second ago suddenly appear in the tuck case and it blows their minds. I performed this for someone and they were quiet for a minute as they pondered what had happened and then they looked at me and said "You really shouldn't use the power of God that way." LOL He was so serious about it when he said it too! That is by far my favorite reaction to any trick I have ever performed in my life! Even the reaction of my kids when they were little when I would do things that were astonishing for kids who didn't know what to look for will never compare to this grown man questioning his own eyes and assuming there was a higher power at work instead of some gimmicked cards and some sleight of hand.

    • @CardMechanic
      @CardMechanic  Месяц назад

      HA!!! I could literally picture that happening and the completely stoic expression while saying "You really shouldn't use the power of God that way." I would've died laughing! Thanks so much for sharing this and also letting someone else win!

    I perform for my sister and its really awesome seeing her in awe even after I fumble something. However, nothing quite compares to the magic in her eyes as I explain how to do the tricks after, and watching her try to learn it.

    My favorite reaction is actually not a "OMG, how did he do that?" kind of thing, but rather a reaction that lead to a great learning moment. There is a trick in which the audience participant (I hate the word spectator in this context) always guesses the color (red/black) of the next card correctly, or incorrectly... But obviously this is under the performer's control. Or not so obviously as the following experience describes. I was performing this trick to my daughters and let my youngest always guess correctly and my oldest (who was in on it) get it wrong. Much to the delight of the younger sibling, who thought she was on a roll and finally found something she could do better than her older sister. When I got it wrong and accidentally produced a black card when she had guessed red, she was visibly disappointed. Rather than me saying something like "Oh well, guess your winning streak had to end somewhere" I decided to be a "good dad" and create a magical moment. One color change later and the card was now red like she had predicted. This REALLY upset my youngest daughter, because she now realised that I had been in control all along rather than her having some magical powers of her own. She stomped to her bedroom and didn't come out for a good 30 minutes. Sometimes you have to leave well enough alone to keep the experience alive. Sometimes it's not about the performer... Matter of fact, it's 100 percent always about your audience!

    My favourite reaction is when I did a trick in front of almost all of my classmates and there was a kid that wanted to bust me in front of everyone with the trick I used. So he guessed wrongly a couple tricks so I tried to play with him. Eventually he actually understood the trick I used but I wasn't going to let him embarrass me in front of everyone so I re-do the trick but always find a way to hide the selected card so it appears that he didn't at all understand what I did. In the end he gave up and shook my hand congratulating me on how good of a magician I was and accepted some sort of public humiliation.

    I love the lie detector trick, it always gets great reactions. One reaction I can remember that was really good was back in high school. I went to my 9th grade Earth Science Teacher to show her a couple of tricks like I did every day. She took a card, remembered it and I “lost it” in the deck. I then turned the cards face up and had her cut the cards as many times as she wanted. As she was cutting the cards, a group of students walked into the classroom, these students were popular and they brought a lot of attention wherever they went. They decided to stay and watch what was happening. When my teacher was done cutting the cards, I turned the cards back over face down and pretended to think of a number (I already knew the number in advance). I did a recap of the trick for the students that had just joined so they knew what had happened up to this point. Let’s say the number was 5, I had my teacher count 4 cards face down on the table, I asked her to say her card out loud and when she turned over the 5th card, it was her card. The students went nuts! They jumped up and down in the room screaming, and then they left the room screaming and running down the hallways waving their arms and students that were walking by peeked their heads in to see what was going on. That was the best reaction I can remember and probably my favorite reaction. Thank you CM and the gentleman who sponsored this giveaway! Congratulations to the winner!
    So close to 100K!

    As an educator performing card magic to the classes I handle to lobby a discussion, one of the best reactions I got was when all of them (Senior Highschool students) were surprisingly blown away by the effect saying "woaaaaaah" loudly in chorus and someone even humorously said that I practice occultism and sold my soul to a demon in order to obtain power to do something impossible. I responded back with a serious tone and gaze by saying, "Yes, I did bargain my soul to a demon. Hence, in order to regain half of my lifespan lost in the process, I need to perform these magic to as many people as possible so your souls can be sacrificed in exchange to mine. So, I thank all of you." After that, they were both confounded by the effect and the words I left them! 😂

I did a prediction where they chose the card at the position. One of the cadets ran screaming from the room. They were thrilled that someone could be cool rather than mean. She looked at me like I just asked if she wanted to smell my farts. But she still let me do the trick. When I finished and showed her her card, she had a look on her face that was a little bit above being disgusted and slightly entertained. There was even a slight hint of smile.
