Omg thank you soo much. I tried making blinking animations on my own and my character kept glitching out, but this tutorial taught me how to do it properly
How would you add controllable arms? Like in LBP where if you hold down R2 and move the right stick you can move his right arm. But if you hold down L2 and move the left stick you can move his left arm.

I hope someone can answer this, you know when you scope into lets say, the head for example, and you how a shape pops up right away? Well i change the shape to the one i want to use, and once it placed onto the head in someway, i decide to apply a finish to the part i just put on, not the whole head and the part i put. But whenever i apply the finish, it affects the whole head. How do i individually apply finishes to different parts of a sculpture?
It's pretty much the same concept as animating the arm. It takes a long time so I don't really have a set tutorial on it but I did animate a walk cycle for a brand new puppet on stream if you are interested
Man i coulda used this vid last night. I spent 8 hours fighting with logic an puppet till i attempted using ball joints to make a custom sculpt to become a puppet.
Probably easier way to make blinking eyes: Create a sphere - cut out in half so now you have 2 half spheres stuck together: one for eye, one for eyelid. Make the sphere rotate at your convinience (back and forth for blinking, slightly sideways for sad/angry expressions).
Your tutorials are what I have been needing how should I credit you for getting me over these hurdles that I haven’t been able to jump without your help?
you could delete the arm bones in the puppet properties panel (under structure) and they would move around with physics, however there is no way to do it without connectors I guess you could use physical paintings connected to where arms would be and that would work.
@@randumchannelboe8587 you need to make sure your jaw is in the scope of the puppet. I had my visual feedback in the settings set to minimal so I didn't see the grey. I was still scoping in
Sweet tutorial thanks, the blinking looks really good, the flap jaw not so much but I understand it’s a style and you explained it well. I was wondering, when you edited to the key frame on the blinking you put it to slow Power up and slow power down, what down power up/down mean in that context? Thanks
Well, you could use it like an AND Gate, but to change values with a value slider. An example would be: to change the rotation speed. put a switch down, put a value slider down, and put a calculater down, tweak it to ADD, then power a keyframe to turn on the switch. Then you've changed the rotation speed of something. hope that helps.
Delete the head of a puppet (or just don't add a head to what you made) then get a camera and and group it in with the chest of the puppet (or whatever you made) Group it in with L1 + X while holding the camera. Hope that helps.

No. A solid sculpt is static and can't bend. Sadly all you can do is try your best to disguise the joints.
So you have to scope in to the body parts of the puppet you want to add things to? Like scoping into the head to add the eyelids?
