"Make it Rain" live performance at the Theatre at Ace Hotel is a must see! Shoshana absolutely kills it - brilliant brilliant performance. I have seen nothing else like it.
The songwriter Sara Bareilles explained the story behind this song: "I wrote it for the scene in the movie where the lead character, Jenna, feels like she's lost all hope of saving herself from her terrible situation, and she's reflecting on who she thought she would have become.” I've heard Sara and other artists sings the song, but Shoshana's version is my favorite so far. She's not only a singer, but also a strage actress. Shoshana knows how to tell a story and how to convey emotion. I think this was a masterful performance. Another phenomal live performance is her cover of "Make It Rain": ruclips.net/video/a_YSY3jcBuo/видео.html
anyone who doesn't suggest this performance of "make it rain" doesn't want him to hear/witness a masterclass level performance! i can't second this recommendation enough! ♥️
thank you so much for this. it's a rare treat that someone who actually appreciates shoshana fully reacts to her, which is unfortunate. i'll reiterate the need to experience "make it rain"...i'll be keeping an eye out for it. ♥️
Morisette Amon owns the premier cover versions of "She used to be Mine" as well as "Secret Love Song", "Never Enough", "Rise Up", "My Immortal" etc..AND originals like "Akin ka na lang" I still Love You", "Wishing Well"..etc.. many videos are on the Wish Bus 107.5..
If you must compare artists, you do you. I find Shoshana's version is the one that has the most emotional power and most completely conveys the story. Shoshana's technical virtuousity is an added bonus.

Shoshana never disappoints! She gives us so much, every time. I love watching your face as she sings -- so relatable. Thanks for this, mate.
