More info. Every GNC in my area has closed due to covid. So i was at walmart looking for creatine, i had been out for over a week and was noticing a decline in my performance. Walmart did not have creatine so i got the CoQ10. I still cant find creatine, but CoQ10 FEELS like it has a similar effect to creatine (it's obviously different). Any recommendations on how to take CoQ10? What are the best foods or best quality supplements to get more on a daily basis? As I age, energy and recovery from workouts are faltering.
Take CoQ10 preferably after a meal and since it is a fat soluble antioxidant you can take it with a "high fat meal" but it can go with any meal so don't overthink it. So long as you take it right after you've eaten you'll absorb it just fine. As for other supplements I recommend Omega 3s (unless you eat a lot of oily fish already such as Salmon and tuna), vitamin C in combo with vitamin D3, magnesium (post workout) and calcium (stand alone) unless you consume dairy then you should be okay with calcium....HAVING SAID THAT, remember getting your nutrients through food as much as possible is always the preferred source for micros unless you are on a type of macro restrictive diet (ie. keto, vegan, or low fat). When on a macro restrictive diet such as "low carb" then supplementation with vitamins becomes of higher importance due to the limitation of fruits and veggies. Same goes for low fat, as far as "healthy fats" go (which help in the production of some hormones). Hope that helps senorita.
CoQ-10 supplementation is a huge controversial topic when we look for reliable results. A lot of biased science supporting it...some studies saying it is useless, others pointing that it can even aggravate some issues (aging). There are some few agreements, like Ubiquinol (the non-oxidized form of CoQ-10) is better absorbed than Ubiquinone (oxidized). Hey Thomas you ever think about doing a video dedicated to portion sizing of your meals!? I know most of us probably put way too much on our plates when eating... Thanks !! Love the channel 🤙
How can we promote the generation of CoQ10 without having to rely on supplementation? Or in other words, is there any way for us to help stimulate our Mitochondria to be able to increase the production of it naturally?
This really gets my attention as I wrote a science cause and effect research on GMOs change our DNA which I received an A for my paper. This just confirms what I thought years ago.
Hi Thomas. Thanks for the video. My husband and I came across a supplement that has 50mg ubiquinol CoQ10 and 10mg of PQQ. We tried the supplement but it raised our blood pressure too much. I am 40 years old and have been on Keto diet last two years. I never had any blood pressure problem in my life before. I was wondering if the supplement itself was the issue (which it has other ingredients: 150mg of Gynostemma extract and Tocotrienols) or the way we used was not proper. Thanks, Ozge.
@@veggiebea you're welcome. I bought on Amazon and later I saw few more people complained about the same issue. Other CoQ10 supplements on the market seem ok though, at least in terms of not rising the blood pressure.

I guess you have to start with some basic science to start the discussion but this video had no usable specifics. For example, does it matter which form of CoQ10 is best for supplementation or is there no difference as long as you take more or less of one form. Can you get enough by diet?? How much supplementation is needed. Effect of statins, etc.
hjlevitt- Exactly Statins come into play for those on the med. Well basically, if you are on Statins it is best to supplement w/a CoQ10, since it is dimineshed (if not robbed) by Statins.
I have heard different stories that these products in the stores don’t work as good unless you get it online which I’m sure is a scam, can I get this at GNC and any comments if this is a scam or not to get it online???
I have a mitochondrial disease... And q10 is probably one of the most important thing I take daily... With its new popularity, its so hard to track down a bottle of q10.... They have also hiked up the prices of the q10 due to the amount of people buying it. 😭😭😭😭
I’m a CrossFit athlete at the age of 25. Im doing Keto and IF. Is it worth taking COQ10 at this age and with this lifestyle ? Are their any negative effects doing so with this lifestyle ?
That last study showed 1200mg per day... Wow. That is a lot of CoQ10, especially when you consider most supplements are 100 - 200mg.. I would like to see more information on what the best amount of CoQ10 supplementation is for the most people. I know those taking Statins should take more, but first time seeing a 1200mg recommendation.. Anyone else have knowledge in this area, please respond.
Hi I know this is a few tears down the line but I've only discovered this vitamin myself. I was looking at it for my brother who has parkinsonian symptoms and 1200 was recommended for muscle rigidity. The scientist said she didn't know if it would help all patients but it would certainly do no harm. He has only started taking them about a week and has no side effects.....so can't really tell yet if they help.
Hi Thomas. Thanks for your great content. Between advice from yourself & Dr Jason Fung, I’m seeing great results. I was wondering if “C8” MCT Oil is much superior to regular MCT oil. Some sources claim this but information seems scarce. What’s the difference between the 2? Thanks
+Barry Rice, having read Dr. Bruce Fife's book, [based on 175 Scientific Research Papers], MCT is composed of C8 & C10 (as opposed to straight coconut oil that has all fractions). Benefits here are that these (c8, c10), readily cross the blood brain barrier, hence why Bullet Proof coffee has a product...
Hey Thomas I’m really interested in intermittent fasting and getting started on 16:8... can you go into a little more detail on the best ways to break a fast besides bone broth... protein shake? Salad? I’m a little confused.

Hi Thomas! Question: I've heard that ubiquinol is a more efficient supplement and would be preferred to taking CoQ10 because you are essentially skipping a step in the pathway (some people genetically might not be efficient at the conversion). Thoughts on preferences or dosages? Thx for all the videos!
Ingested ubiquinol is converted to ubiquinone in the stomach. It oxidizes there. So, you can asume that ingesting ubiquinol is a waste of money. But there is a catch because of the difference between ubiquinol and ubiquinone. Low quality ubiquinone is in powdered form or crystaline form. High quality ubiquinone is in soft gels and it was treated with heat and combined with oils, D-linonene, piperine ... Therefore high quality ubiquinone is more bioavailable (200x) than ubiquinol. So, ubiquinol is great, but high quality ubiquinone is the best. Keep it in the fridge and devide your doses thru the day.
Hi Thomas, I've been taking CoQ10 daily, but because I do intermittent fasting and keto, I take it with my dinner. But is it better to take it 30-45 min before my workout? My workouts are after work either at 5:30 pm or 6:30 pm.
Healing from long illness and trying to get energy to finish healing I try to eat healthier as I can budget looking for a good meal replacement for healing Do you have any good suggestions anyone
1200mg of CoQ10 is a monster dose lol any supplement you buy suggest 100mg. Not saying its wrong or unhealthy, but the average consumer wouldn't think to dose at that rate.
LIKED the vid: CO enzyme Q10 has been one of my staples as far as supplements go for about the past 5yrs now....But I must say that 1200mgs per day is quite a bit (i take 400mgs per day)....I don't think a person really needs that much unless they are on a statin drug (usually because of uncontrolled high cholestrol), because those kinds of meds will lower your body's natural stores of COQ10....But yeah, it is a great supp for anybody to have in their repertoire.

Very thorough and informative video. Thank you. ✨
Great vid and information as always. Would taking CoQ10 with morning coffee or BPC help accelerate autophagy?
Ozge Cavusoglu was just reading about PQQ and haven’t heard that it can raise blood pressure! Thanks for sharing
@@veggiebea you're welcome. I bought on Amazon and later I saw few more people complained about the same issue. Other CoQ10 supplements on the market seem ok though, at least in terms of not rising the blood pressure.
CoQ10 comes in doses of 100mg or 200mg per day. No one takes 1200mg per day as that study suggests.
I have been losing muscles and energy since I started on statins in end 2019. I was in great shape before that. I am 82 years. Should I start on CoQ10. I have no BP problem and I never smoked.
Thanks a million for this info. I was wondering about this particular supplement. #liked #shared

Thomas another Great Video, Thanks. Could you please do a Video or Segment on Protein powder's ?? Would like to know what to drink after a Workout?? Thank you.
Question: isn't Q10 digested in your gut into simplier molecules, which makes eating suppliments with Q10 useless?
there is also in patch form

Hi Thomas, awesome video as usual! Thank you! I'd like to know which brand of CoQ 10 is optimal? There are many brands out there. Thanks!
Thomas, can you make a recommendation. Or really does not matter the brand? Thanks.
I think he briefly said "You can get it at Costco" in his full-length video on a day-long keto meal plan.
@kayeszymanski6945 Qunol brand (liquid) CoQ10 is best quality, best absorption at all Costco
@@henryr1367 Qunol brand (liquid) CoQ10 is best quality, best absorption at all Costco
Doctors dont even mention this when they are handing out their statin drugs..! Thomas missed that one... :/
Love this i notice my client had a bottle am a try a few if his
What's your recommended amount? Ubiquinone or ubiquinol?
Ive been taking a 100mg pill in the morning
@@duynajohnson8479 i also take 100 every morning, only benefits no side effects. Some supplements also have bioperine with it, even better !
Dr. Stephen Sinatra, well known Cardiologist, says Ubiquinone. 100mg. Men make it longer in life than women.
Please do a video on N-A-C! It says it's best taken with fruit juice. Is that really necessary? Because I can't exactly drink fruit juice on keto.
When is the best time to take it and how much? Can we get it from plants at all?
Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell
DoOver2006 it wasn’t recommended, it was just a sample study
Hi I know this is a few tears down the line but I've only discovered this vitamin myself. I was looking at it for my brother who has parkinsonian symptoms and 1200 was recommended for muscle rigidity. The scientist said she didn't know if it would help all patients but it would certainly do no harm. He has only started taking them about a week and has no side effects.....so can't really tell yet if they help.
Can you get it naturally from the diet? Are there certain food/drinks to have in order to boost CoQ10?
Liver
Starry Night Thanks a million. But my question wasn’t MCT vs coconut oil. It was Regular MCT vs C8 MCT.
Hey Thomas I’m really interested in intermittent fasting and getting started on 16:8... can you go into a little more detail on the best ways to break a fast besides bone broth... protein shake? Salad? I’m a little confused.
Great job broo . I am going to use it . Hopefully I get good results🥰🥰🤭😁😁😃😀😘🤭
1200 mgs? How do we even get that in? I have never seen a CQ10 supplement of that dose..
I take 400 mg a day of a liquid CoQ10, that study you mentioned used 1200mg a day...isn't that way too much?
I can't find anyone who is recommending that dosage. How much do you recommend?
I stopped taking because it gave me anxiety. I felt very wired up....and it also gave me insomnia 😑
Thomas what are your options on Taurine, does it break a water fast?
Hi Thomas Delauer
i discovered your channel recently and i love your videos very clear ans easy to understand
i have skin issue ( eczema on legs) i have tried vegan diet ( cleances, juices etc...) for 4 months but no improvoment in my eczema (more itchiness, scratch.....)
i know the main problem is about the gut health ( leaky gut....)
i follow a keto diet since 2 weeks and i noticed less itchiness ( 4 days without touching my skin) .
can you make a videos about skin issues ans meals plans for weight gains ( i lost too many weight in my vegan diet ( 15 kg, 165 cm 50kg ) and about supplements ( bone broth, probiotics, D3, fermented food etc....).
thank you for your understanding
have a good day
Hey, i can help you with this. whats your email or instagram
Very well explained brother 🤙🏼
What do you recieve for endorsing this product?
Awesome video! Love the science of it all, but should it be taken with food?
Got my answer on Google.
what's a healthy fat food I can eat when taking CQ10?
During IF, when is best to supplement with this? What is the best form and dosage? Do you have any suggested brands?
What’s up Thomas? Is there any chance you could explain a diet for people with HYPO thyroidism? Thanks boss keep up the awesome work
Hi Thomas, love your content! I've been on Keto for almost 2 months but I still feel fatigued.. What am I doing wrong/not getting from my food? Thanks.
Update//??
Ur missing something supplementally or not getting enough calories. Skinny dudes have a hard time on keto cuz the calories are very low with a full stomsch. Keto is tough for hard gainers
Same... Have you find out ?
I really love this very informative topic in CoQ10. May I know the best time to take CoQ10? Especially for those who are going to the Gym . Thank you
Which is the better form for CoQ10 to purchase: Ubiquinone or Ubiquinol? I am finding different answers. Thank you for your time.
I have been taking this for over a decade.
Damn that's a lot of wasted money
@@zellerized nope. I have chronic pain and the fatigue to go with it. If I don't take it then I have huge issues trying to do anything. I am proof they work. Healthy people are so narrow minded aren't you
Hey Thomas was wondering what toasted sesame oil does and how it supposedly gives energy?
Thomas have you heard of Dr. Nun S. Amen Ra? If you havent you should look him up and could you PLEASE make a video about it🙏 i needdd someone who knows what they're talking about to look into his information!!
Hi Thomas! Question: I've heard that ubiquinol is a more efficient supplement and would be preferred to taking CoQ10 because you are essentially skipping a step in the pathway (some people genetically might not be efficient at the conversion). Thoughts on preferences or dosages? Thx for all the videos!
Katharine Liberatore Yes, please answer her question. I spend more $ for ubiquinol believing it’s a more efficient supplement as well.
I too have read that the body has a far better uptake of Ubiquinol and it would be great if Thomas might be able to offer any insight into this.
Have you found the answer to this? I am wondering the same thing
Asking myself the same ... Have you try coq10 or ubiquinol ?
What’s a good dosage to start out with when over 40years old?
Healing from long illness and trying to get energy to finish healing I try to eat healthier as I can budget looking for a good meal replacement for healing Do you have any good suggestions anyone
Dude you should be a doctor ! This is amazing information!
When you fast and are in ketosis this CoQ10 is still required?
@@zombi3lif3 That's what I was thinking and just wish that'd been included in the video.
1200mg of CoQ10 is a monster dose lol any supplement you buy suggest 100mg. Not saying its wrong or unhealthy, but the average consumer wouldn't think to dose at that rate.

I am a taking this with PQQ daily it is super
Great video Thomas DeLauer. Any additional info on the importance of taking PQQ with the CoQ10?
What is PQQ?
LIKED the vid: CO enzyme Q10 has been one of my staples as far as supplements go for about the past 5yrs now....But I must say that 1200mgs per day is quite a bit (i take 400mgs per day)....I don't think a person really needs that much unless they are on a statin drug (usually because of uncontrolled high cholestrol), because those kinds of meds will lower your body's natural stores of COQ10....But yeah, it is a great supp for anybody to have in their repertoire. DEUCES!
Hey tom should I get one of those glucose testers and the ketone strips?
