Not at all, I am not a pro by all means, but I have seen a ton of good ass tekken, and you are wrong. Mado simply was of the charts with his movement, and timing. He kept catching CBM right when he was throwing a punch
The reason why throws in Tekken are the most frustrating among all fighting games is because they set a threshold for players rather than being a strategic move. Throw in Tekken is a test of your eligibility to play the game. If you can break throws, congratulations, your reflexes qualify you to play Tekken; if you can't, then Tekken tells you ‘GET OUT! YOU DON’T DESERVE TO PLAY TEKKEN!’ In games like Street Fighter and others, the frame data for throws is deliberately set at a speed that is impossible for anyone to react to and extremely short range, making throw a true strategic move cleverly rather than a human eligibility test. Finally, in Tekken 8, the frame data for breaking counter throws became even shorter. So, are you deserve to play Tekken8?
I mean, if you do a throw in neutral, then it's all reflexes (and even then, not that much of reflexes because you can just mash 1 or 2 or 1+2 by accident and you'll get out instantly). Throws are a strategic move in tekken too. You just need to know when you are plus frame, and you need to know your opponent's command grabs. You can also do a throw against a medium/slow opponent's move to counter them, so if they are mashing or pressing other buttons to continue the string, then they get caught by the throw not being able to break it. The fact that you can react to a throw in every scenario it's a pretty good sign of a player reflexes. So it's only fair that you'll be judged, since it's easy to evade. Keep in mind that not every character has a strong throw game, the true grapplers are who owns that playground, making it for them a true 50/50, with no different animations to distinguish the right break button, grapplers are the few characters who can make a strategic use of throws, and it's okay this way. Characters in Tekken all have different tools, and you should choose a character that has the tools you want.
