Gotta say... the Pikachu variant's the most impressive to me. Whereas all the others are mostly recolors, the Pikachu one actually adds something to make it stand out. Pikachu etched on the right side, his foot as the reset button, and a Pokeball as the power switch. THAT is how you theme a console.
I had one, 2nd and Charles bought mine from a 12 year old me for $20. I can’t believe stuff like that isn’t illegal. There should be a law saying you must disclose the price of an item if you’re making an offer and the seller of the item is unaware of the value. Especially if it’s from a minor or an elderly person, and especially if you’re not an individual buyer.
I know this post comes late but if you didn't find the information you were asking about I might be able to help. As you suspected the Rose and Ultra versions of the consoles officially were never produced for purchase. Ultra 64 was the code name for the system but simply became the Nintendo 64 when it finally released. As far as the rose color it was a variant along with 11 others that were made as prototypes for Nintendo of Europe. Out of these 11 came the Funtastic series with rose being omitted. I couldn't find anything about the N64 with atomic purple controller going for crazy money (the highest I saw was $1,400).
I remember a couple years ago, there was a developers kit on sale on ebay. It was basically N64 hardware with connectors and hardware inside a clear acrylic case.
Funny how the Ice blue nintendo 64 is pretty common in my country.. Whenever i look up on used n64's i mostly see the ice blue one.. for like 30-50 euro..
Yeah I got one for cheap at a flea market almost brand new condition in America. I’m pissed I don’t know what happened to it and all my games. Think someone claimed it all.
I just wanted to say that I think it's really nice that you take the time to reply to most of the comments you get, and I love your videos! Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the next one! Also, Canadian pride
I had 3 of the clear colored ones! I had the black clear, the purple clear, and the blue clear. I also had a plain old one with a clear purple controller. I didn't have them all at once, though. Some of them, my cousin gave it to me because he didn't want them anymore. I don't have them anymore though. I lost them all when I moved. Never realized they were rare.. hm.
All the prices are BNIB. Most can be found used, without box but all accessories, for around $100 or less. with box, add $20 or so. My N64 is a green funtastic. Have the matching controller, transluscent purple controller, memory upgrade, etc.
I remember Nintendo having a contest where you had a chance of winning a n64 gold controller through Nintendo Power. All you had to do is complete Zelda Link to the Past in one sitting without saving your game and having a final score of 000. You took a picture of the TV with the 000 showing on the screen.
m.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-Nintendo-Pokemon-Orange-Pikachu-Nintendo-64-console-system-Japan-Boxed-Nint/263424013632?hash=item3d554b7540:g:EvkAAOSwXOVaUg4e This might be a bit cheaper for you, also this is the orange version wich is really rare. I have only the blue ones with the pikachu on top.
Hey! I have the gold N64! My sister got it when it came out when she was younger and we still have it, fully functional with a controller and even super mario 64 too.
Yeah nintendo 64 and gamecube controllers have a really bad durability, a few years back i opened a n64 controller and all the mechanics under the joystick where made from plastic :(
My childhood friend's dad always traveled to Japan on business trips and loved video games. I know he for sure had the JUSCO N64 and I think I've seen other systems he had on your other list. Haven't talked to him in like 10 years...wonder if he knows what they're worth
Ah, usually with collectors items in box and new is what makes most of its value. Still awesome tho as the grape fantastic is one of the coolest N64s around! :)
+Royboy140 Might as well buy used if you are actually gonna play it. I dont personally see the point of buying a console and letting it sit in the box.
when i was about 6 or 7, like 7 years ago. my dad gave me his old n64 as we couldnt afford a newer system like the wii. it was the default black console. with the violet or purple funtastic controller.
Great Video once again Stan! This video really did take me back, especially since the N64 I own is a NA Gold edition ;) I never knew how rare it really was so this really does change my perspective on it!
@RandomTens and for all those who may be interested the Atomic Purple is actually being sold at a video game world in Charlette NC :) price is around $400-$450
I saw the dark blue pikachu console at the con i went to recently! They also had some bootlegged gba games. It was so cool. I totally would have taken one home with me if I'd had the money :P
I have a Clear Red console with the white base. I had it imported ,put in a region free tray, swapped the faceplate with the Ultra64 logo, and I ordered purple led lights to solder in the controller ports. It’s gonna be sick when they come in. I got mine in box lightly used, and the controller’s great!
I think the gold controllers are more common because they were bundled with Goldeneye 007. That's where I got mine (in Australia). I also have the Australian Pokemon console too :D
I have the Australian Pokemon Stadium Battle Set console and controller, but I believe mine came with Pokemon Snap in what was called the "Pokemaniac Bundle". We purchased it sometime in 1999 or 2000, and it took a hammering over the years, being constantly played from new until the console stopped working in 2012. It was repaired with Nintendo ex-service spare parts and cleaned in January of this year, and it now looks and functions like a new one again. Wouldn't trade it for anything at this point. Still my favourite console by far.
There was a clear black console released in the funtastic line that the video didn't show, he showed the controller tho. It's much more common than the last rare one.
They have to, bc the NES and SNES classic systems sold really well, and Nintendo has been listening to what people have wanted the past few years, even more than they have, Nintendo is the company I feel listens to their fans and gives them what they want more so than Sony or Microsoft, they've really turned it around with the switch
ChickenNado I had the ice blue console, under my TV stand... Severley smoke damaged, Goldeneye too, and it Survived!! Pretty much the only thing that survived.
I bought the black one back in 1996 and the Jungle Green one with a matching controller a few years later. I only have the latter one, but it still works great --- just used it last week.
Hey I actually had the rarest on this list as a kid. Til this day I wish I knew where it was. I didn't know it was that rare. Hopefully I bump into again someday looking through storage or something.
Wouldn’t think that anyone would put a video game console on their grocery list. And even if a person planned on getting a new console, chances are they went to an electronics store, toy store, or video game retailer to pick it up. Not sure if it’s universal or if the same coincidence would apply to that grocery chain, but often when I do look at toys at grocery stores, when they do happen to carry popular action figures or some actual quality toys besides the typical cheap and generic or poor imitation toys usually found there, they are also priced higher than the toy store sells them for. Given the typical cheap quality toys carried at grocery stores and the higher markup, that alone could dissuade people from purchasing a game console at those stores. Also, I would imagine many people probably assumed they were bootleg, imitation, or counterfeit systems and not the real thing.
I had the Australian Exclusive Pokemon N64 box and all. Sold it a few years back with all its booklets, plastic sleeves and original cable ties in order to buy a new car. Oh how I miss it.
The reason Polywhirl is featured on that decal is possibly because in the original pokemon manga Polywhirl is Red's very first Pokemon. I thought you might find that interesting.
I got my "modded" watermelon funtastic around 2002 with a copy of Sin&Punishment, not realizing at the time how easy it was to get them to play imports.
On Christmas 2000, me and my cousin got the Funtastic N64s. I got Ice Blue, and he the Watermelon. I preferred the blue, but it looks like he got the better deal in the end!
I owned a gold N64 briefly. My father and I bought it in 2000 at Toys R Us and at the time it was the only variety they had of N64's so we reluctantly bought it. I remember not playing it for too long before the gamecube came out the next year.
2:47 hey my brother has this one, i got my own when i was 5, it was a plain grey one, i remember wanting my brothers cause he had this thing called a game genie(i think) and it gave you cheat codds and everything, but my favorite part about his was that his cheeks lit up a rsd light when in use.THE MEMORIES
"I mean, seriously, it's Poliwhirl." Back when Pokemon first appeared in North America, Poliwhirl was a Pokemon who was heavily shown in various merchandise. It was Red's first Pokemon in the Pokemon Adventures / Special manga, it was one of the noodle shapes in Kraft Pokemon macaroni (along with Pikachu, Meowth, Jigglypuff, Squirtle, and Charmander), and it just popped up in various other toys and things. And yet, despite pushing Poliwhirl so hard, it had little presence in the cartoon for a long time. It took until Orange Islands before any of its family played a noteworthy role in any episode, when Poliwhirl's evolved form Poliwrath handed Ash's arrogant Charizard its first true defeat. Then at the end of Orange Islands, Misty caught a Poliwag she used pretty frequently in the early parts of Johto until it finally evolved into a Poliwhirl. Yeah, took until Gen 2 for Poliwhirl to have even an episodic role in the cartoon.
A couple years ago I got a pikachu ng4 with 10 Mario games for $5 because my friend wanted to buy Chinese food and didn't have money

Ahhhhh!!!!!! What a deal!!! :'( I miss my N64 and Banjo Kazooie
I have the Ice Blue color! :)
woah nice, i got one for £2.50 but it was regular.
Gotta say... the Pikachu variant's the most impressive to me. Whereas all the others are mostly recolors, the Pikachu one actually adds something to make it stand out. Pikachu etched on the right side, his foot as the reset button, and a Pokeball as the power switch. THAT is how you theme a console.
i got the pikachu one as a hand-me down
I have the clear black n64. My mom got it at a flea market for 2$ with the games mario kart 64 and mario party 2, i think she got a really good deal.
PurpleTea Rose 5:55 so this one?
Considering both of those games sell for upwards of $40 each I would say so
Meep Meep conkors bad fur day
I had one, 2nd and Charles bought mine from a 12 year old me for $20. I can’t believe stuff like that isn’t illegal. There should be a law saying you must disclose the price of an item if you’re making an offer and the seller of the item is unaware of the value. Poliwhirl is on the decal of the Pokemon N64 because the favorite Pokemon of Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokemon.
surprised you did not get a reply for that one. cool fact
¿ ya I never knew that
Poliwhirl was a main pokemon in the manga
Comment has 64 likes! Hopefully people keep it there lol

Polywhirl is sick, don't hate on the prepubescent frog.
Playah he’s the creator of Pokémon’s favorite Pokémon
I own a usa gold n64. with two gold controllers... I had no idea they were rare. its just been sitting under my bed for a couple years now....
Would you sell it for 1 million US dollars?
I would wanna gt it if it was still available
I remember a couple years ago, there was a developers kit on sale on ebay. It was basically N64 hardware with connectors and hardware inside a clear acrylic case.
Funny how the Ice blue nintendo 64 is pretty common in my country.. Whenever i look up on used n64's i mostly see the ice blue one.. for like 30-50 euro..
Macho ツ what country are you? That one is my favorite
Yeah I got one for cheap at a flea market almost brand new condition in America. I’m pissed I don’t know what happened to it and all my games. Think someone claimed it all.
Where can I buy those?
Can’t find those in The Netherlands
That is in the netherlands too! Only ice blue and gray
I just wanted to say that I think it's really nice that you take the time to reply to most of the comments you get, and I love your videos! Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the next one! Also, Canadian pride

My N64 is a green funtastic. Have the matching controller, transluscent purple controller, memory upgrade, etc.
The funtastic N64s are at my flea market and they're being sold for 100$ each!
my friend got the watermelon red with games for 35 bucks.. what a steal
I feel like eating the N64 like a watermelon. Too bad it's only plastic and not juicy. :/
+Chestosneako Inc rofl

Damn I wish I could go back in time or would of saved all my stuff from when I was a kid I'd be rich now but I wouldn't of had no fun back then 🤔🤐😂
I remember polywhirl being used in marketing and design a lot actually. It was on the front cover of the official Pokemon encyclopedia for some reason
This video made me expand.
Expand your thirst for gaming knowledge? :O
+RandomTens *puts hand on shoulder with resigned look on face*
Expand the pak for your extra rare N64?

2:14 Here in Brazil was also released at the time these versions of consoles, I had Transparent Purple :)
I got my grape funtastic for $25 at half price books. 200-300? boooooy
+yung amy Was it in box?
no.
Ah, usually with collectors items in box and new is what makes most of its value. Still awesome tho as the grape fantastic is one of the coolest N64s around! :)

@RandomTens and for all those who may be interested the Atomic Purple is actually being sold at a video game world in Charlette NC :) price is around $400-$450

+Clorox Bleach we meet again bleach!
That DK Music at the beginning used to terrify me as a child
Yea today this think is over $1000 USD
5 years later maybe $2000
I literally 3d printed a watermelon red raspberry pi case before this video, and I'm shocked how it's the rarest out of the funtastic series.
was the music in the backround in the beggining the theme song for donkey kong 64?
+justin113098 It was indeed! One of my favorite N64 games tbh.
+RandomTens Deeeecent!
+RandomTens damn rigth :D
I heard it to I was so happy, what a throw back its my favourite game
+justin113098 no
Also, I had 3 atomic purple controllers. I personally love the n64. I actually got it when i was 8 back in 2011.
OMG I have both the watermelon red and the transparent green I did not know that they were rare

Holy Crap I have all of them
Found this channel an hour ago and now i cant stop watching its videos. Wonder why you only have 38k subs? Well, now there is one sub more :)
i've always wanted the fire orange N64!
I own a Funtastic! Fire Orange 64 from 1999. I never would have guessed at the time that lt would be so rare.
God damn Nintendo 64 gold edition cost more that my Xbox one
I would choose xbox xd cus u can play nintendo 64 on pc anyways
A gold n64 just went for 1900 on eBay. I was in the auction but I lost lol
I saw the dark blue pikachu console at the con i went to recently! They also had some bootlegged gba games. It was so cool. I totally would have taken one home with me if I'd had the money :P
My cousin has the Jocus one.
I saw a mint in the box Jusco N64 at a garage sale for only £75. OF COURSE I BOUGHT IT!
Oh man this Banjo music brings a tear to my eye. So much nostalgia !!
I have that gold controller but not the console :/
Same
+Robert Machulla By pretty valuable, he means around $30 a pop, max. Unfortunately, not likely to find a buyer at that price.
I have the gold console and I have 4 controllers.
Osvaldo Mogollon dont sell it
I think the gold controllers are more common because they were bundled with Goldeneye 007.
I got me a clear black console.
+Phil Mante I got me a black console with grey controller
+Grant Sibley I got the smoky blue controller, grey, and a bright red controller.
PS I love your N64 videos, you sound so much more passionate about it! Gives me so many flash backs watching your videos! I miss those days!
I realized my cousin has the clear black :O
There was a clear black console released in the funtastic line that the video didn't show, he showed the controller tho. It's much more common than the last rare one.
I think I have it
Those colored Funtastic consoles were so damn beautiful along with the similar translucent colored iMac G3s.
i only have a normal n64. D=
Me too
+Caden Gaticam im not sure but i think i have the watermelon red version
s'alright bro, you're not alone
ʇɟooɹɔǝןɟɟɐʍ me too it I have the dk controller because my friend gave it to me
ʇɟooɹɔǝןɟɟɐʍ Same.
They should make n64 mini consoles with pre loaded games
Shey Cameron They probably will in the future
They have to, bc the NES and SNES classic systems sold really well, and Nintendo has been listening to what people have wanted the past few years, even more than they have, Nintendo is the company I feel listens to their fans and gives them what they want more so than Sony or Microsoft, they've really turned it around with the switch
My jungle green Nintendo 64 burnt in our house fire a few years back
ChickenNado Good
ChickenNado I had the ice blue console, under my TV stand... Severley smoke damaged, Goldeneye too, and it Survived!! Pretty much the only thing that survived.
TheRobb573 it only survive because it was ice blue.
*rimshot*
I bought the black one back in 1996 and the Jungle Green one with a matching controller a few years later. I only have the latter one, but it still works great --- just used it last week.
I know info on the sale message me and I will tell you
Gum Roll tell us
I've had a gold N64 since I was four years old. I had no idea how rare it is!
Not rare unfortunately, 30 bucks in japan.
Hey I actually had the rarest on this list as a kid. Til this day I wish I knew where it was. I didn't know it was that rare. Hopefully I bump into again someday looking through storage or something.
I looked over to my gold N64 on the shelf and smiled. Glad I saved it.
I'm in ireland and in Ireland no one cares about nintendo I found the rarest one for €16 which is about 22$ so hahahhah
Seriously?
+WILLOWS CHANNEL sealed or already opened? thats where the value is ;)
WILLOWS CHANNEL troll
WILLOWS CHANNEL I found one at a pawn shop for 15 dollars with ocarina of time and two controllers included

Just a small correction but the picture you used for the Fire Orange N64 is actually the Daiei Hawks N64 ;)
Seeing all the Funtastic N64 colors together is really neat, props to the people who have the Watermelon Variant.
I know you commented that 6 years ago but nowerdays the light black/ grey n64 funtastic n64 is worth the most just to let you know :)
@@Jacob_9 Hello from the future lol. Shocking to see Smoke now be the rarest out of them.
Just take an original grey bottom and a fire orange top, and you got the Daiei Hawk!!
I have seen the Jusco console boxed on auction in Japan a few times and it always sells for about the same as the 64DD set, they don't come cheap.
My brother and I still has the Jungle Green one from back when it came out, just played smash on it last week!
I had the Australian Exclusive Pokemon N64 box and all. Sold it a few years back with all its booklets, plastic sleeves and original cable ties in order to buy a new car. Oh how I miss it.
My mom gave me her jungle green n64 but it didn’t have dk but I went to a store that sells old games and I bought it with the expansion pak
The reason Polywhirl is featured on that decal is possibly because in the original pokemon manga Polywhirl is Red's very first Pokemon. I thought you might find that interesting.
The Daieihawks orange model is the best looking n64 i've ever seen
I had the funtastic light blue one!! I miss it so much 😢 it was hard to find a matching controller
1:19 is the one I have, still have the original box and all of the games in excellent condition since 1998
I got my "modded" watermelon funtastic around 2002 with a copy of Sin&Punishment, not realizing at the time how easy it was to get them to play imports.
The music makes this video great!
I have an atomic purple controller. I think it came in the package you showed with the regular black console and the grey controller with it.
May I ask what is that delightful outro music sir?
My uncle lost the “fire orange” in a house fire along with a few other consoles, recently bought the “grape purple one” to replace it
You've just earned a new subscriber dude :)
Got the Pokemon Stadium 64 for my 8th birthday. Never knew it was so rare.
I'm glad I grabbed my Gold N64 when I did. Garage sale, 20 bucks, 5 years ago. No box, but mint system and controller. Worth it.

My mum won the fire red transparent version and gifted it to us on Christmas. That was awesome.. Man I miss those times
I really like your videos, so I subbed - keep it up :)
I still have the ice blue N64 console and controller. as well as a jungle green controller and grape purple controller.
I hade the purple clear system growing up, and the black one I still have to this day
Fun fact: the reason why poliworl (I butchered that) is on a lot of old Pokémon merchandise is because it is the creators favorite Pokémon
Remember that legendary sale you were talking about all I know I have it
Fr?
I have a PAL gold N64 n box. It's not totally gold but It's a goldish grey.
The watermelon red, ice blue, purple, gold and Daiei Hawkes ones makes me drool.
