I think it was one if not the best mortal kombat. They really need to bring back the open konquest mode specially with today's technology they could add a lot to it.
Coming off of MK Deadly Alliance, MK Deception was such a strong effort that I still prefer it over MK Armageddon. I remember buying it for my GameCube and being super excited I could play as Goro and Shao Kahn right out of the box! Between the return of classic stages, added death traps, open-world Konquest and chess/puzzle modes this game did not leave my console for almost a year. I also loved that Shujinko was able to acquire multiple special moves. Really made up for the lack of Shang Tsung on the roster.
MK Armageddon will always be my favorite MK on the OG Xbox. It was crazy to think about a MK game where you could make your own character, almost anyway you want to.
MkDC/MK9 came out of the blue after they previously said they were done, so who knows. They need to get those two added to the shop as well, especially with next year's XSX apparently removing the disc drive.

Yeah I feel like a modern take on it would be great!

Nice review pal, well done from Dublin, Ireland, this game has a special place in my heart from my childhood...

Yeah MK Deception is one I also loved to play as a child, it was always in my console. Thank you for sharing those memories!
Just recently 100'd this game. It's so good and fun. Great review 😃
Thank you. Congrats on the 100% I'm sure that was a fun time!
Loved this game as a kid
Yeah it was a childhood favorite of mine too!

I like the 3D MK games (DA and Deception) so much more than what they made now
Thanks for this channel dude. Brings me back to my childhood.
I'm glad you enjoy!
Thank you for giving this game the respect it deserves🙏🏻
Thank you for watching!
Great video, I really enjoyed it. Just subbed to your channel 👍🏽
Thank you!
Top 3 MK game.
I really wish they made deception and deadly alliance backwards compatible
Totally agree, I bet the would like really nice on the Series consoles.
i liked the conquest mode but it felt awful when you got stuck on a move.
edit: i loved the chess mode
Yeah I definitely had issues with some of the moves
Konquest mode is still worth playing, just wish it was programmed better
So my question is that is this game compatible on the new Xbox
Unfortunately it is not.
@@campxboxdo you think i ever will
@@charlieramondt I don't think so. According to xbox they are done adding backwards compatibility to games. I hope they do though!
@@campxbox i hope so to en thank you

Was this review done on a xbox
This one is actually backwards compatible with the 360 so I played it on there.
Can you play it on 360v?
My guy here miss-remembered MK:DA's Krypt. There was no Jump Scares.
I must have, I remember it scaring me as a kid but I might be confusing it with some of the modern Krypts.
@@campxbox mk9, MKX had jump Scares. MK9 had a little demon dude.
hara kiris are in is game the are so coool
god i love deception!!!
