Awesome engine build! That should be a blast to drive. Those flat 4's make great torque.

Thanks man! It’s super fun to drive. Probably one of my favourite engines along with the flat 6.

Haha thanks, it’s lasted this long so I’m sure I did something right. Thanks for your support!

Great vid mate, check your crank pulley nut every few months as they come loose because of the alloy pulley against the metal crank, Remember both metals expand and contract at different rates. We call those alloy pulleys bearing killers as over time they come loose and flog out the mains.

That’s good to know because yeah I’ve had issues with that pulley. I’m thinking about switching but it’s also just nice looking. Thanks for your support!

@@smithsgarage273yeh my engine builder will not use alloy pulleys only steel og ones or the old santana alloy ones which had a steel inner.

Great video. Have you had a chance to Dyno tune it yet?

Thanks! I haven’t dyno tuned it, but I really want to. The idea of the dyno is just a little bit scary still but I’ll do it sometime soon for sure. It’s on the list.

You know what. ... thanks, man ... I'm well into this right now and this video just popped up .... great stuff.... did you have to chase anything structural / suspension to handle the new beast ?

I have an upgraded transmission from a company called Rancho, it has heavy duty axles and different ratio gears for top speed. But I’m on stock suspension and stock trans mounts, I need to actually replace my trans mounts because I’ve heard they break really easy with this much power, so I’m looking into ways of bracing the engine right now. I’ll make a video about it once I figure it out. Thanks for watching though!

Sorry, I completely forgot to mention my transaxle in this video for everyone who’s curious, I’ll talk about it in my next video. But I run a rancho 4 speed transmission with heavy duty axles. All ratios are same as stock except my fourth gear is bigger and better suited for highway speeds.

What's the transaxle , with that engine I hope it's not stock . That cars come a long way and Alot of work..

Yeah I realized I should’ve just quickly said what transaxle I’m running in the video too. It’s a 4 speed rancho transmission made for higher speeds with heavy duty trans axles. Don’t have the exact ratios right now. Thank you for watching!
