Thanks for this; it was very informative. I also had one of the pop-up privacy tents and never could get it folded back correctly. I actually left it in Florida because I couldn't fold it up; total waste of money. I'm going to check out the Lightspeed which looks like a great option. I did a lot of boondocking so having a tent like that for quick showers will be great for when I get back on the road. I also like the awning attached to the top of the car; never even knew those existed. I was looking into Vanpackers which is how I found your video. Thanks again for the info.

Hi Kay, thank you and your husband for these videos. What year and trim level is you DGC? Is it flex fuel? I am about to pull the trigger on a 2015 DGC RT. I am in AZ, where are you guys?

For what it's worth, we're rocking a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country, but it's the same chassis. It's been our daily driver for almost a decade now. We have the "Touring Edition" with twin DVD players and a screen for each row of the back seats - It was great when the kids were younger, but now that we're camping in it it's way too easy for me to bump my head on housing for the screens in the middle of the ceiling. So you'll probably want to avoid the touring edition if there is such a thing for the Grand Caravan.

Very nice, thanks for the updates! As I mentioned before, we also make use of the second table top, it's so handy!
We're planning on grabbing a trail fire grill for a secondary cooking option like you guys have the second grill, but it can also double as a fire place for sites that don't already have firepits. The cover also functions as a wok/griddle and can also be used as a convection oven at the campsite. I just nabbed a nice Coleman camp chair off of Amazon for my birthday too, good choice!
With regards to cargo boxes, is that something an average person can just order and install on their own or does it require a professional? Our roof rack is sort of like two tracks that run the length of the roof with adjustable legs that spawn the width of the van, so we're pondering a large cargo box up there, but have no idea where to even begin looking for one or if it's something I can tackle on my own or if we'd need all kinds of conversion parts and a lift. Thanks again for the videos!

      Hi,
Thank you for your response. As for installing the cargo box, if you have the standard Dodge Grand Caravan roof rack system it is a very easy install. We purchased our roof rack from Cabelas but you can purchase from many other stores. It comes unassembled and the assembly was not difficult. Once assembled you lift and place on roof rack and install to roof rack. It weighs under 40 pounds.

@@KayHarrington-ed3br Outstanding, thank you for the response! I've spent most of the day looking at all the amazing things for sale on that site! Your response and explanation has greatly reassured me and taken away many of the fears that we had regarding rooftop storage.
