Now call me crazy, but on the expected day of the arrival of the snow storm named "Beast from the east" and on the coldest morning of the winter so far I decided to go to Manchester Airport to film some of the wintery action. This video was taken very early on in the day before the arrival of the snow storm, however some snow had fallen during the night and the temperature was sitting at -7 degrees at the time of filming, which in turn made for some absolutely spectacular scenes during the morning light. This video was filmed from 06:30 to 09:30 approximately. All flight details are included on screen for your entertainment. Look out for the diversion, due to the snowfall across the UK & Ireland many airports had been closed and Manchester at this time, remained fully operational, until later in the day when the weather deteriorated.

Some absolutely breathtaking footage which I'm really quite proud of. Sometimes it worth getting up early in the morning and standing outside in the bitterly cold temperatures to get footage like this.
Check out the second video taken at Manchester later this day, when the weather had started to close in. With reduced mobility, heavy snowfall, delays, diversions, deicing and disruption!

Its not always necessary. Fairly small aircraft, long runway and no need to vacate the runway quickly. So just a nice roll out.

The Singapore airlines a350 was smooth. The last time I was on the Singapore airlines a350 the landing was so hard. It made me drop my camera

Bit of a bounce. As the video goes on the weather was changing dramatically with wind increasing. There's a second video to come from later on in the afternoon in the snow & wind just before the airport actually closed operations.
TUI Dreamliner landing at 5:40 is a greaser
question: how much footage do you usually get for these types of videos and how long does it take to edit out the clips of planes like a ryanair boeing737 landing for the 700th time?
All the footage I get I include. So everything in this video was filmed during this section of the morning. I didn't leave out any footage. When I'm editing on screen flight information it can take a few hours to edit and then a few hours to save the clip in high quality.

So weird to see 05R used as a runway! Ususally its 23L and 23R
Not weird at all. Happens all the time when the wind is from the east. However it is predominantly from the west. But certainly not uncommon. I've got several videos like this from years ago.
