Beautiful Sunset Departures at Manchester Airport, MAN | 27/02/19

A few hours at Manchester Airport on a glorious February afternoon.
After going to the aviation viewing park at the other side of the airport and discovering they've now put up a disgusting new fence which is too tall to film over and fenced off half the area I decided to leave more or less straight away and head to this spot and wait for the runway to re-open at 4pm. Unfortunately the official aviation viewing park is now a no go for filming. The viewing mounds are being removed and a new, taller, uglier fence has been put up in the way making it impossible for photography or filming. So I certainly won't be going back there again a complete waste of time, effort and money that was.
But this spot is still going strong, shame about the secondary runway opening times during the winter months. It's closed from 10:30am until 4pm and the airport operates on a single runway. So after the 4pm runway re-opening some beautiful scenes as the traffic starts to pick up for the evening rush. Due to an ongoing issue between Pakistan & India, Pakistan airspace was closed during the time of filming. There should have been 2x PIA 777's depart during the time I was here filming, but they were both cancelled. So no heavies unfortunately, but some beautiful shots in the low winter sunset none the less!

08:30 - check out the Cessna Citation Jet perform a rejected take off. The jet can be seen performing its take off roll as normal before hitting the brakes and vacating RWY23L. The jet then continues its take off just a few moments later.
Not the best video from Manchester in terms of traffic variety, but certainly one of the best for the sunset.
