    i'm pretty new for to fishing so I was just wondering what you mean when u say stay loose. like do you mean to keep the drag loose or to give the fish extra line so its not tight. I've been losing fish 1-2 feet away so this would help a lot !

    • @BryceMarchetto
      @BryceMarchetto  11 месяцев назад +1

      I gotcha! So yeah when I told him to loosen up, I was talking about the drag because trout have very soft mouths and you can rip the hook out easily. The advice I would give you is if you can see the hook is not hooked deep or hooked good, loosen your drag a little but not so much to where there’s no tension. Personally I always loosen my drag a little when landing fish because if they pull out of your hands and swim off fast, when your line catches up it puts allot of pressure and if your lines frayed it can break very easy! Hopefully this helps and goodluck, feel free to ask any other questions you got!

    • @mlb-rewind9250
      @mlb-rewind9250 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@BryceMarchetto aye thank you man that helps a lot. I lost my first 6 lb bass the other day because i didn't keep the line tension and when i reached for him he freaked out and got off. The next day i hooked him in the same spot some how and kept the tension tight and got him out of the water! Ya live in ya learn.

    that is fantastic catch, i fly down to Marco Island FL, Gulf Coast to go after sea trout. Great video, only concerning thing i see though is the fact you are at the waters edge and even putting your hands into the water, you MUST assume that a gator can be there regardless of it being salt water, hate to see anyone lose their life over a fish, and ive had many times been fishing similar places like in this video and even had the gator attack and steal my catch. Love the video, but would recommend you both be way more careful, never assume your safe no matter what water in Florida,.....NEVER.

      It’s definitely a big thought in my mind everyday that I try to stay aware about, as I’ve actually been attacked multiple times while bass fishing. Thanks for looking out 🙏🏻
