Arcanums and LB's are hard to resist, especially when you don't have a costume for the physical element. I only have Tifa's and she's magic. I really do enjoy Angeal and what he brings to things. I'm leaning towards pulling .. even though a Red 13 costume is right around the corner. I think I have enough for both. And then it's saving for collab next month.
Water has been the bane of my existence. I only have 3 weapons for the element over OB6. OB8 Maritime, OB9 Black Whisker and OB8 Serpent Eater. I pulled for Glenn's WA half anni outfit but had horrible luck pulling the weapon that has been OB3 forever as I only pulled the guaranteed copies. The man doesn't get enough free blueprints as I only have enough to OB4 it. I like Angeal as a character and look forward to learning more about him in the new chapter. His WA outfit just seems lacking. 1st r.ability seems too low and is too similar aesthetically to his gear voucher one. My slight personal nitpick is that both and most likely future outfits lack the Buster Sword on his back save for his base. He is iconic for that alone. As a day 1 f2p player, I have done some reflecting. I like the idea of collabs and half/full anniversaries but have noticed a trend. Certain limited weapons at least ones I've pulled for and don't even have at or past OB6 become a waste of crystals by having a wishlistable version if not better be released later. Zidane Sword by Ceremonial, Kuja Spirit Blade by Electrocannon and S1976C, Stream Guard by Shell Knuckles and Kirin Gloves by Crow Familiar. I'm just not sure how I want to move forward post 1st anniversary. Since I am not financially capable to support the game I can't seem to justify pulling on limited banners that could potentially not hit OB6 without the aid of the paid tickets and the 2 paid copies of the weapon, sure there's the free blueprints but they aren't common enough to rely on. I have missed out on arcanums I don't have and really good outfits like Barrets electro armor by saving crystals for limited banners. In no way am I complaining about my choices, I'm more than accepting of the consequences, It's just been on my mind for a while.
Yeah definitely in agreement with a lot you're saying. I mean i say this in a lot of my videos, but in MOST cases, i do not recommend pulling for LImited weapons unless you can guarantee OB4+ or even OB5+ ~ if you can't guarantee that with crystals, then it is much much better to pull non limited gear as you can slowly build it afterwards.
What a really great observation! It definitely makes me think about things, too. But, I'm a sucker for limited edition things. -_- And I certainly don't regret my choices in the game but, that will definitely be something to think about going forward now. So, thank you for that!

There is a chance this is only 1 of 2 banner-outfits Angeal gets until next year. That sounds insane, but the proof is in the pudding. Like imagine if.. you are someone who didn’t pull Barret’s Electroarmor or didn’t use your Anni voucher on that costume? Your Barret unit would be seriously lacking compared to other units in the game.
I can see where you're coming from, but i would still wait for a more balanced costume i think unless you don't have a good water setup. Electroarmor is solid because it can be used in almost in any battle.
I decided to pull on Angeal, I was tired of my Glenn sitting at OB5. No telling when he'll get weapon parts in the shop or an event/banner surrounding him. Applibot keeps using phys water and not allowing any of us use Water Tifa. Wish the next GB would have been phys or magic to allow those to choose.
in this month's guild war I read that water damage will be the element if I'm not mistaken, I imagine I'll go with cloud angeal and glen, it will perhaps be brutal damage I hope (I have the arcanums of glen and angeal)
I like it even though it's not as high damage because it essentially allows him to fulfill 2 roles as tank/offdps (least for water) but mostly i just like the way the costume look haha
I don’t think Angeals kit atm is something I’m looking for? Maybe if the content changes down the line. if the veil ratios were slightly higher, but as of right now, I should get back to 200k crystals by the time the collab rolls around.
How about a video on how his tank ability works? Even at low stats I saw him survive hits that killed Cloud and Seph. But I'm not sure how he does it, and how I can build him better.
His tank ability is called Veil and it essentially gives him a damage shield based on % of his total HP, so for example if Tranquility at OB10 gives him Veil for 10% and he has 10,000 HP that means that 1000 HP of that he will completely negate. I've also heard that Veil can block some status effects, and that his LB gives a 20% HP Veil to the entire party which is insane!!
I was ready to go on angel but after seeing it was phys water I backed off. I will just stick with ny Glenn for now. Hopefully I will be over 100k by the time crossover hits
Angeal so OP he made my phys ‘fake max power’ team take the crown from my magic team. 1.260mil with water angeal ice cloud and fire yuffie and I didn’t even min/max it yet 😂. What’s the prediction for the 2 armory bonus characters next week gb? They’ve used Seph Glenn cloud Lucia Zack and red so far. I’m hoping they don’t choose Barret or Matt they are my most underdeveloped weapons. I think they might use aerith or Matt or Barret to effectively like limit our heal/support character for the gb by penalizing us for using one of them.

I did floor 40 Azure Tower without Angeal's new costume or weapon. I only had him at level 63 too. I'm a flat rock on the surface of the water until the next crossover comes along. Skip skip skip.
I'm a new player and I really love Angeal and like the weapon+skin but I can't. Anniversary took a lot out of crystals and even some $$$ so I'm being stingy for a loooooong time. LOL Plus I hope to have to get at least one collab skin and weapon so I have no choice but to skip. :/

Sadly Angeal doesn’t bring much to the table tbh, not at this moment of the game at least. Going to skip him sadly. Will pull on Vincent’s Electro outfit instead.
