I just use a pair of mechanics textile gloves. If there is rain or extreme cold, put on black nitrile gloves first then textile. Cheap and does the job well. Also, when they get ratty, retire them to the toolbox or welding cart.✌great vid as always!
“Moist on the outside” 😂 Sorry had to say it. It gets down to low 30’s here in NC and I still ride. I have a cheap $30 pair of BILT winter gloves. They are okay, nothing special. I like those Revit gloves! I don’t know if I can see myself paying that much for gloves I’m not going to wear that much either.
SWEETNESS.! A fresh new 2020 Video from anti_parallali the Motorcycle Scientist :-) Try to be glad that you liv further south then Moi. It's about half-way though winter too, here in Canada where I Ride. - Angel
There's more to gloves than being waterproof, usually first thing you do if you come off your bike is put your hands out. Protection is also important, especially the scaphoid. Scotland isn't renown for its heatwaves, if you do ride in colder climes, heated gloves 😁
Thank you! I am buying the Revit ones for when I mow the lawn, shovel snow and take the garbage out. Joking aside I use heated gloves for winter riding and they are pretty solid as long as I don’t forget to charge them.
Don't skimp on gear. I'm not saying you have to buy "top shelf" gear all the time, but a $20 pair of gloves has to cut corners somewhere. 90% of my riding is on the track, so winter gear is not something about which I know a great deal, but the primary purpose of protective gear is to... protect you. In this case, they protect you from the elements, but they must also protect you in the event of a crash. I don't have much faith in a cheap pair of Chinese textile gloves.
Ya I'm the dude that rides in the cold weather, I look like the Michelin man all bundled up but I don't care, it takes awhile for my old '86 Honda shadow to warm up but she still runs strong 💪
I never used to ride in winter but since we started our channel i've been doing more. If you're going to ride in the winter you definitely need specialised gear and we have the Rukka ones. I get really cold, probably because I'm a girl....my winter gloves cost me £160 but worth every penny :d
In general. The cheap vs more expensive... just NEVER hit the ground going at speed in something cheap to find out the difference and you will be fine.. instead of getting the cheap gloves, just get your everyday winter gloves out of the closet. That cost nothing extra and will do just as good
Honestly, I'd like to see something in the middle. My daily riding gloves were...$70 I think. They're still in great condition, leather, and offer good protection...and it's been 4 years
@@AntiParallali Down to what temperature can you use them and still not feel like you can hardly stand it? Mine were about at 40F for 1.5 hours. And that's with a leather gloves under my mid-winter gloves. xD
I use Blits great in cold and are water proof and cheap. But i found out yesterday after work just cuse they are water proof doesn't mean they will keep out water running down your sleeves and run into them lol.
You have to watch what brand of cheaper stuff you buy. I have used many Kemimoto prducts from dry bags and riding gear. It has always worked well and completes with brands 10 times the price. Ride safe, and good luck with your schooling.
Kemimoto if you don't ride a lot in cold weather, or if you want them to double as snow shoveling gloves 😂. But the Rev'IT ones if you ride a lot in winter...riding more = bigger risk of going down in bad conditions = Rev'IT ones are leather, not textile so I think they're better
Slide across the pavement at 60 mph and tell me if you really want a $24 glove. Not that more money means more protection, but I would trust a real motorcycle gear company before I trusted a Chinese replica. In my opinion you should never buy safety protection off of Amazon. There has been quite a lot of fatalities from Amazon replica helmets breaking in half during a crash. I would suspect the glove would do the same. Also, Rev it and RevZilla have reputations that they have built by making or selling quality equipment.
They're good! But also overpriced 😂. On the Ninja 250 I have a $3 DIY phone mount and it does a good job. I have a video on how to make it, one of the very first vids on this channel...(if not the very 1st one)
All good except for the most important part.... how do they perform?!!?! I read that your bike wouldn't start, but you could have at least worn them outside and made some snowballs or something lol
I think the test you are missing from this review, and probably the reason for the difference in cost, is the crash test. Look at the gloves after they have been dragged across the asphalt, see how they hold up.
@@AntiParallali I appreciate that, and we all hope that we never have to put our gear to the test, but I'm sure that the difference between the brand product and the cheap internet product is how much protection it provides in the event of a crash.

Same here. Especially in Summer, Mechanix Originals in covert black is all I rock. Love them to bits.
Dude, why is your voice calming? Lol like the review
I should record myself reading "Total Control" see which bikers want that on audiobook 😂
@@AntiParallali I like your video very much Lali

Hi Lali, this is a very detailed review, and so helpful with riders caught in this dilemma of cheap verses expensive, good advice as always!
Dont drive in the winter either. But I always enjoy your videos because it makes me smile no matter the content 🙂 Thanks! 😀
Thanks for the review, with combined discounts I was able to get the Kemis for very cheap.

Protection is also important, especially the scaphoid.
Scotland isn't renown for its heatwaves, if you do ride in colder climes, heated gloves 😁
Yeah not much palm protection on these I agree. If I was going to ride regularly in the winter I wouldn't pick the Kemimoto ones
Thank you! I am buying the Revit ones for when I mow the lawn, shovel snow and take the garbage out. Joking aside I use heated gloves for winter riding and they are pretty solid as long as I don’t forget to charge them.
great review video, i was kinda hoping you would also do a test on the bike to see how you felt after riding in certain degrees 🤪
Bike won't start 😭 ...even it is too cold 😂
Hi Lali, i found this video so useful, a comparison in great detail covers all we need to know to decide.

I live on Long Island and weather has been pretty mild this January (fingers crossed for February)
Good review thanks
Nice reviews lali here we are in summer to wear those gloves xD but in winter it will be very interesting to have this video
@HazzanRider
I don't know if this was intended to be a review video or an ASMR video? Doesn't matter very comfortable listening voice and review to top.
Definitely a review, didn't realize it came across as ASMR 😂 hopefully it was soothing at least
SHould move to Arizona, perfect riding weather, until a sandstorm or heavy rain. I hope you have a great day.

I've got an 86 honda Rebel 450 and it's a fun little bike, the shadow is definitely easier finding parts. Which gloves did you get
nice review!

Good reviews. Missed your videos.
I'm in Australia.. At the moment, I need gloves that let air and water in.. unless I want my fingers to feel like hot dogs. :-/
Nice review though :-)
