i love that Zach aint scared to put "questionable" Ford motor in and use it when Ryno said he was thinking to put 24V cummins in F600. Everybody thinks proven formula is the right way to go when following normal engine maintenance and looking after your equipment is all it takes to keep them on the road running issue-free. 6.0 and 6.7 are great engines, better sounding, more power capable with less of a chance of something going wrong. Every engine has major issues if left unresolved. Ya 12V or 24 V cummins are simpler engines and may break less but they aint guarantee either. I have 6.0 with 320000 miles that has stock headbolts, no blow by, temps are holding great and running like a clock. never had issues with it. 4000-5000 oil change intervals and appropriate remaining maintanence is all it needs. great sound in my opinion the best diesel sound, great power. Go Ford

I get what Ryan says about not putting in a new motor. New motors are nice but being able to throw in a 12v with minimal stuff is nice, easier to work on. Problem is they are getting harder to find for decent prices too.

Because I want to put miles on a fresh motor before I pull anything behind it. $300 tow bill to get the other truck home is cheaper than damaging a new motor

They’re on order with new wheels, new suspension and a big brake kit. Just dumped $30k into it to do everything right to the motor. Wallet wants to rebuild for a few weeks.
