Malta to Sicily Voyage

- It has been an amazing month here in Malta, but it is now time for Gargoyle to start her voyage to Venice with the jump to Ragusa Sicily. Before we can go, we need to fix our watermaker and then time a North eastly that is blowing in that may make leaving impossible. So, after paying an outrageous amount for overnight delivery from Italy, we wait, and wait and wait for our part to be delivered by DHL. Finally, after we take over the delivery function, we cast off and head across the crowded shipping lanes from the Suez Canal that pass between Malta and Sicily. Besides dodging ships Kevin must jump in to free the prop from a shipping container strap that we have picked up. All in a day’s work but oh baby, is that water cold! Come make the jump with us.

Well done guys! And cats!!! One question...did you used the same SIM card for Malta and Italy or you had to buy a new one? Fair Winds!!!
Our Go SIM from Malta had some roaming EU data on it so it was good until we were able to get a TIM SIM. Bus out of Marina di Ragusa will drop you at the mall so you can get a SIM.
@@SailingGargoyle thanks for your answer! Btw, I'm planning to sail to Malta at the end of August, do you reckon that Manoel Island Marina is the right choice, considering that is not so close to town?
@aldobezzicheri6473 we found it to be convenient as there is a ferry a quick walk away as well as every imaginable shop and resteraunt steps away. We thought it the perfect balance as you can also walk around Manoel Island and it's so peaceful. And then the marina staff. They are incredible. We've never experienced service like that, anywhere. Helps make up for the somewhat dated facilities. Santi, the manager, will do anything to make your stay a success.
