When pitching this as a service, what is a good way and some good numbers to present it
From IT industry we took a major/critical hit, been exploring this roof business idea. So far didn't see anyone clean their roof or gutters in the neighborhood or surrounding area of 2-3miles, nor have I seen anyone in the past 10years I lived here.. done mine myself in the past so was hoping
Edit now might be switching to powerwash or lawn services those I see almost every other weekend
Solar panels are a nice add on. I’ve run into some here in sunny Florida that have a reddish color organic build up on them that I’ve had trouble removing.
Yeah sometimes the algae can be a pain- between you and me I have used a tiny bit of sh cuz sometimes there’s no way around it but just make sure you rinse really good and I’ve found it to be fine

Really curious why solar panels need to be washed with deionized water? Will rinsing with regular water from water hose damage the panels somehow? Just listened again, and you answered my question in the video. Thanks

Yeah! Just a ladder, brush and $450 for the filtration

As a professional, why would you continue to clean these panels if it wasnt necessary!? They obviously weren't dirty enough to affect its production. At this point (based on your video) I'd be more concern about the shading from the trees and debris that accumulates under the arrays, not cleaning!
Thinking about the efficiency loss per day and cost effectiveness of dirty panels. Beautiful job on the solar panels - architecturally they can add so much to a rooftop façade; a form of architectural romanticism.

@@SpencerClaeys they’re purrrrty. It’s like nouveau rustic they are both forward thinking and a blast from the past. Seen some newer Tesla roofs in the neighborhood. Although they may be more efficient, the roof lacks the Mediterranean forward thinking earthy west coast feel.

I highly recommend some general insurance for solar cleaning
Its a good money maker for me as an add on service to window cleaning. Can easily earn $150-200 per hour. I charge between $4-10 per panel depending on level of filth, accessibility and danger

Another reason I won't own solar panels most people don't think they need to be cleaned or even clean them, not to mention the animals or birds that impose on them lol
