In this video I have shown step by step guide to install PS3 controller on PC (Windows 8/8.1) . Using Motion Joy driver and Better DS3 controller .
MotioninJoy 0.7.1001 driver required ..Get it on google for free ;)

for me motion joy just shows ads
when i go to Driver Manager i get "Error the request could not be satisfied"
Any tips?

Dude you are the greatest!!! I've tried over 5 other tutorials and they all sucked even though they had the most views, you are the most articulate and you are using Windows 8 this is the BEST tutorial on getting a PS3 controller on PC by far.

Thank you so much! This was so much help. After two days trying and it's now 1am when I was trying since 8pm, I have successfully installed my ps3 controller. This is the #1 video! My husband who is a computer programmer will be proud of me, lol! I could've saved time letting him do it, but theb I wouldn't have learned.

you sure that its 100% working? no like 90%? because last time i tried it on a 90% working tutorial and it didnt work so just let me know if youre sure that it's exacly 100% working

For some people who haven't got it to work, you gotta go to the device manager manually (within your computer), click on "Show hidden drivers" select the ps3 controller, click on "let me select drivers" and click on Motioninjoy (even though it says not digitally signed) and install it. For some odd reason, the page for Motioninjoy wasn't loading and by doing this, IT WORKED.
Very nice - I tried it with an unoriginal USB-cable and it didn't work. I noticed how your cable had the "big box" at the end, which made me thinks it was an original cable. I found mine and it worked like a charm.

Thanks, worked for me. One hitch was that I had to go to general when you went to update and recovery, but I think that's because I haven't done any windows updates in a long time. Rest of the time I could mimic your actions exactly, very good guide.
