I'm about to put a gt45 on a stock 305. My question is how stock is this engine? Do you just mean that it has a stock block, stock rods, stock crank, and stock heads? Because if it has those things I will accept it as a stock 305. I can't recall all the hp numbers but I'm almost sure that the most hp any stock 305 was at most about 200hp. So, on 10psi of boost and 200ish hp, I don't really see how this S15 can be so fast. I'm almost positive, it at least has a better than stock cam, and some ported stock heads, stainless one-piece valves, pinned or screw in rocker studs with better springs, lol. In which, I would still call it a basically stock 305. I just want to know because everyone I know is telling me that if I put a gt45 turbo on a stock 305 that it won't get in to boost until it redlines, lol. I don't believe them but it's really making me re-think everything and holding up progress.

The only parts on my 305 that are not stock are the valve springs, rocker arms, intake, timing chain and valve covers. The stock 416 heads have a bowl blend and that's it. The rocker studs are stock, and the cam and lifters came out of a 1984 HO 305. The cam is 202/206, .403/.415 on a 115 LSA. The bottom end has the factory crank, rods, pistons, and rings. Part of the reason mine runs as good as it does, is because I'm using a 2 step. It let's me leave the line with about 2PSI of boost. The other part is, I'm running 20 PSI boost total.

Do you have a link or list to all the parts to make this happen? I would love to do this to my 81 c10 w 305.

I don't have links to parts, but I can tell you what I used. I use a Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump, Aeromotive 13301 bypass regulator, 8AN fuel line from pump to carb, 10 AN fuel line from regulator bypass to fuel cell, 10 AN fuel line from fuel cell to pump. For a carb, I have a 750 HP that I sent to Quick Fuel to get it modified for blow through set ups. I'm using Ebay twin turbo headers that I modified for a single turbo set up. The turbo I'm using is a Ebay GT45 and I have a 60mm wastegate. I'm also using a MSD BTM Igniton box to retard timing under boost.

So far, it's been running with 20 psi boost for a year and a half, no issues yet. Not sure who was in the right lane, looks like a S10.
