I don't know if it's intentional or if I'm reading too much into things but there are SO many nice details! - Like in the beginning when the song says "do you wanna hear about the deal I made" (approximately?) and the AMV shows Casey's sad face, because he accepted the deal of going back in time at the cost of Leo and Mikey's lives. - Or "feel how it feels" on Raph being angry at Leo's childish attitude: in the final battle, that's what Leo tells him, that he finally feels how Raph feels when he screams like that.
This movie was epic, and I happened to be listening to RUTH around this time. It appealed greatly to my childhood, and actually gave me the feels at the end. Can't believe this movie was able to shake me, all these years later.
I don't have the energy for a big ramble right now, but I like how it kinda shifts from Raph ("If I could swap our places", Raph sacrificing himself for Leo) at the start to Leo at the end ("If I could swap our places", Leo sacrificing himself for the others)
3:14's timing was amazing! i also love how it says "come on angel" when mikey appears bc it reminds me of the second half of his name, or the "angel(o)" in "michelangelo", which is what im pretty sure donnie sometimes calls him. this is so cool and it made me rewatch the movie lol. hurt just as always /pos

Okay so like no joke when the scene where Leo sacrificed himself to trap the alien I couldn’t help but feel like that scene matched to this song and wanted to make an edit but I couldn’t get the clips from Netflix 😅
It actually makes a ton of sense for Leo and Raph. The song is about two people who misunderstand one another and that if their places were swapped they'd finally settle their problems. Leo and Raph conflict alot in the show cause of Raphs heavy responsibilities to protect and lead the turtles, and Leo's carelessness and over confidence in himself. Its only during this movie when Leo realizes Raph's struggles after needing to lead the turtles when he got captured.
