What really great about the Duffer Brothers is their ability to affect the audience with the music used in "Stranger Things". They don't only give young people an opportunity to feel the heartbeat of the 80s but also provide older generation a feeling of nostalgia of the time the showrunners were living in.

I'm 43...Was hardly 7 when I first heard that song at home...And how moved and surprised I was last summer, while drinking a glass of wine at the top of a Hill in Portugal, when my 2 children aged 16 and 14 came to me and asked me if I knew about "running up that hill " and Kate Bush?!?😅...Then we put it on the speaker and sang together!
Since then, I have watched all seasons of Stranger Things in a row! And rediscovered hits of the Past...of my childhood...: the Clash, Talking Heads, the Police, Peter Gabriel, Musical Youth😅😅...even Metallica?!

My friends and I spent the summer of 2022 listening to this amazing song. It is now New Year's Eve 2022, and this song still hits me deep down in my soul. For some reason when I hear Kate at 2:38 say "it's you and me" I still get chills. This song will never get old. Honestly, this version does the one thing I wish from the original- bringing the vocals up to the front of the recording, rather than back in the mix.

@@SAINT_SPYRO It absolutely is mixed properly, just not to todays standard. The track was released on vinyl, and the most viewed version on RUclips is a really bad RIP from the music video. Go listen to the vinyl version, it sound fantastic. This version sounds more modern (More high end, more compressed, louder)

I've just finished watching season 4 of "Stranger thing". I'm still in shock over everything that happened, and I hope Max will wake up and recover from her coma. I can't belive how every character's story developed through all of the four seasons. The story, the writting in this series was so good, it totally got me! I didn't expect to love that story so much. It felt like I got sucked into it and just couldn't resist. For the past.... (i don't even know, weeks?) I'd watch next and next episodes, whenever I got any free time.
Max's story was so touching, her character development was great, even though she appeared only in two seasons. I cried so many times during the whole series, I can't even count it! All the characters struggling with their own problems and traumas of the past.... it felt so real. I felt sorry even for the characters I used to hate, because some of them are just tragic characters in some way. What I loved about the portrayal of Max's character was the fact that music was so relevant in her life. I know it's simple. I'm not a depressed person, hence why I cannot relate to Max as much as a lot of other "Stranger things" fans, but she's still my favorite. I'm struggling as a highly sensitive person and music also play an important role in my life. In Max's case, her favorite song was the key to help her get back to reality. What I love about Max's character is how much the characters like her are helping people struggling with mentall illnesses and every other struggles in real life. To everyone who's reading this comment: don't give up. You can do this. I know it isn't easy. I'm so proud of you for making it this far. Please, keep fighting. Keep fighting your own "Vecna". There are people who care about you and love you.
The acting and emotions of Max's actress, as well as every other actor's were simply phenomenal. I love how Lucas was always there for Max ❤️

That's the thing with older music though-things were mixed fairly lower, and lower in volume and equalization, on analog equipment versus our standard digital recording software. Look up any song before the 2000s and 2010s and you'll have to turn up the volume a bit. Lol
