If Dave Morrow is new to you, take my word for it, he's a total soup to nuts photographer. He knows his hardware, he knows light, he knows color, he knows retouching, and he's very good at pointing out pitfalls and telling you why he does what he does. Just look at his his finished work - that should convince you to subscribe.
Almost forgot - he knows backpacking 100 times better than I ever will.
I hope they make a movie about his life one day.

I can really recommend Dave's Online Course, there since day 1 and I'm still stoked every month when new content comes out! Actually more because of the backpacking videos and they places Dave visits, it drives me to plan my trips here in europe.

I broke my old nikon, and the z7 you got is an interesting replacement choice.

Dave, one question for you or perhaps even an idea : How would you feel about leading a small courses out to wilderness (long ago you have actually been talking about it) with like 2-3 more people max (i know your stance towards to large groups and skill difference etc...) ... and if so - would you consider doing some expeditions even outside of the US, let's say central Europe? Very best of luck and stay safe out there, Dave! Thanks for all your content

  • @CBQMusic

I have tried doing wildlife and landscape videos with the D750, but the video quality isn't good, especially comparing with the awesome video you recorded with the Z7, a compelling reason to switch to mirrorless.
The one thing I am just testing is producing 4K timelapse videos from a bunch of RAW images, and because I can edit the photos to my liking before putting them all together in the video, the quality is just incredible. I've read that it is better to do minimal photo editing and do all the color grading in the video itself, but I'm no expert in video editing either.

Might be redundant, but I’ll add my recommendation for signing up for the learning platform. Regardless of your level, you will benefit on things like camera technique, composition, and post processing just to name a few things. Just wondering Dave, I know you like whiskey, would that be a wee dram of Woodinville in your thermos? Wish I could get that in Ohio.
