Oh man! My dad bought me a Honda Trail 70 when I was a kid back in the early 70s. It was my first motorized bike & I rode that little bike all over the woods where we lived in northern Arizona. I loved jumping it and all my friends wanted rides. I was king sh**! It was even that same color in the video. Great memories.
I love the 190 engine. It's prone to a few issues but super simple and cheap to work on and mod. With a 212 bore, 4 valve head and advanced timing it puts out 24+hp.

Not a bench grinder but an angle grinder...your bench grind method goes to new levels of burning fingers or chain getting caught between rest and wheel! Try angle grinder method. Also for figuring out gearing for each bike i build i use cheap amazon chain then once i nail gearing then i put the good stuff GoPowerSports gold chain on at that length. My post is too long sorry about that gonna finish video now. Have fun guys!
I find on 420 chain I can just drill a 1/8 hole in some hardwood and just punch it through without grinding... I used to use a grinder but I found I had to use similar force with the punch compared to just punching it without grinding

Beatiful dax! The brake system always goes left on the front! this is to prevent brake power be to much on either side. Also the best way to warm an engine is to let it idle for about 15 to 30 minutes and then go for a drive to about half throttle while sometimes driving a bit faster or slower. This process minus the idling needs to be repeated for 500 kilometers if the cylinder is cast iron and 100 to 200 kilometers if the cylinder is aluminum. I also hear some blowback when you went for a little drive, be sure to check the valves to see if they are tuned correctly. Not only will this increasy the life span of the engine but also the performance and mileage.

Years ago, I bought a 155 high output but I put it on a chinese copy of a Honda Chaly. I added a supercharger and had a shop help me tune it. Also changed the gearing so it was a little bit of a dog at the start but she could cruise on the interstate no problem. In my state, at the time, we had motorcycle inspection. The bike was titled as a moped (originally was a 49cc) but I had a friend who was a dealer in another state and I sent him the title and he did his magic and sent me a title in his dealers name with the body change to an motorcycle. So then I changed the title back to me and took it for inspection. Man.... I would get pulled over ALL THE TIME on the interstate by state troopers. Telling me the bik wasn't safe for the highway and that it didn't belong. I would just basically tell them this, "I have a MC endorsement on my license, I am wearing a helmet, the bike insured, the bike is registered as a motorcycle, and it has a valid inspection sticker. I wasn't speeding and I was riding within the flow of traffic. So whats the issue here??". They would get so mad and let me go. A few years later I sold the bike but I still miss it. Four speed manual clutch!
I never really cared for the CT70's but that would be awesome to see one barreling down the highway at 65. I am here because I care for you, Jon and Isaac. Love your vids. Yes, you guys need a new shop. The C10 is getting closer. That is going to be one of MY highlights. (Had a '65 C20; loved that truck). I also had minibikes, Go Karts and Motorcycles. I love everything that has an internal combustion engine. Even Welder/Generators and compressors for jack hammers. :-)
Wider triple tree would allow you to clear the rotor, and just use a spacer (s) to center the wheel and a longer axle, problem solved. I can tell right now that it needs longer shocks in the back or your going to toast that rear fender on that tire with the extended rear swingarm. I would like to see you complete the TAT on it. LOL.

Here's a tip for installing springs, use a shoelace. Tie the lace in a 12" loop, hook the loop over the spring, stick a screwdriver through the loop to use as a handle and pull the spring into place. You may need a second set of hands to get the spring seated depending on how tight it is and if you need one or two hands to stretch it but it works amazingly well. And if worst comes to worst and you trap the lace under the spring, just cut it. The lace, not the spring.
Hey John, greetings from WA state. You, Ike, and Charles have been such a big inspiration to me. watching you 3, fires me up and i get so excited to go work on my projects. keep on doing what your doing👏🏽
A tip for the muffler springs. Use a pice of wire and vice grips. Bend the wire around the hook on the spring and clamp the ends in the vice grips and pull the hook into the hole.
you now have a similar version of my z50 monkey it has a 150 in it now, with the same front end similar swinger and 10 inch wheels, sweet rides and sure to put a smile on ya dial.
John - you ought to billet rod stage II, safety wire it, race shocks and set of slicks and ride it up to VIR then race it on the minigp road course. The ct70 would fit a legit race class Minigp is the shiznit!
There is sooooooo much shit Id love to go off about this kid but Im not a fan of internet trash talking BUT this kid is clueless. He needs to be thanking Ike everyday that Ikes involved in his daddy supported show. Listen I like the channel and even both the guys but this kid is like so many out there, acts like he knows more than he does and when he doesnt keeps his answers or comments in the gray area. He needs Ike, Ike doesnt need him.... Sorry didnt mean to hijack your post with my long comment. Your the 1st comment Ive actually come across with a less than "suckin this kid off" reply...haha
Well if @The Monster Factory intended to come across as a toxic internet tard spouting complete rubbish, great job. As for the kickstarting, I was going to criticise him also, until I noticed there was nothing wrong with his kickstarting and the only problem was the typical brain dead recreational criticism by internet 'experts', aka mechanically inept couch potatoes. Then I realised I never had any intention of criticising the fictitious non issue in the first place.
Nah, they are making PLENTY of money on their own I would day. Notice they don't get complaints for hogging the garage or riding the yard no more? Hahahahaha
Everyone of you missed my point... it was far less cynical. They go above and beyond relative to other RUclipsrs in regards to liability. To reduce your swerving and other issues at high speed you should get a steering stabilizer

LOL.
This thing is sweet, I've got a 1973 HONDA ST 90. All original with only 400 miles. It's a beaut.
Frankestein bike!!!
I guess the Chinese figure why waste their money printing directions when men don’t read them anyhow lol

Isaac is not as bad ,but there both clueless with swelling heads and ego's to the point of being a danger to them selves and others.Guys take it from a real pro that has built many world class custom veh. and listen, maybe you can get away with the Micky mouse work on those 3 & 4 wheeled slow off road units you build, but there is zero room for the kind of backyard guesswork and hap hazard sudo wrenching that i see you do when it comes to two wheel Hwy operated bikes.your only dealing with barely 1 inch of rubber touching the pavement that keeps you upright so the cards are already stacked against you so do yourselves and all that care (myself included),hire a good tech person to help , check ,teach and keep you safe with all the work you do ( By the way I am semi retired and available for hire ) because nobody wants to see or find out that you to injured yourselves and or others or worse.stay safe Jeff
Same build here except: it's a 1991 CT70 and the engine is a Lifan 125 e-start. Cool video and your 190cc bike looks swell!
After the smoke clears we check the wire connections :)

"For clearancing purposes only." Lol
Hey John, greetings from WA state.
You, Ike, and Charles have been such a big inspiration to me.

Me likey da bling bling! Poor John, all alone! :-( LOL 10:12 What did Ike drop???
Saw that too. That face said it all lol
That thing is awesome, great job you're gonna have a ton of fun with that little Honda
When kick-starting a bike, you need to keep your knee bent. if you straight leg it as he did, if it backfires you re be sorry 4 sure!
Nice looking bike
2" extension means 1" on each side I guess.
Or 2cm, which is close in chinesium
Or it's measured from the beginning of the stock slot, to the end of the extended slot.
@@TerraRoot I see you are fluent in bumblefuck.
John, like the bike. Ok you had to tweak things a little here and there, when you didn't want to. Your still way ahead of me, never built one.
Who dare park their BMW in the cars and camera grand prix
gtaguy23 Isaac LOL.
Me
@@isaacitllbefine7231 I cant believe it. You know what this means right? You need to take your beemer around the grand prix now
That bike is RAD!!! Road Trip Shakedown!
I got a 77 z50 with a 110 modded motor manual clutch an it does 53 mph
Btw I’m 13
A tip for the muffler springs. Use a pice of wire and vice grips. Bend the wire around the hook on the spring and clamp the ends in the vice grips and pull the hook into the hole.
5:56 HE HAS AIR PODS
you now have a similar version of my z50 monkey it has a 150 in it now, with the same front end similar swinger and 10 inch wheels, sweet rides and sure to put a smile on ya dial.
“Be the first to Commet”
John - you ought to billet rod stage II, safety wire it, race shocks and set of slicks and ride it up to VIR then race it on the minigp road course. The ct70 would fit a legit race class
Minigp is the shiznit!
He clearly has no clue how to kick start a bike 😂😂
Sameeeee😂😂😂😂
Lolllll
There is sooooooo much shit Id love to go off about this kid but Im not a fan of internet trash talking BUT this kid is clueless. Hes been almost 100% focusing on the same type of work for 3-5+ years and from the numerous vids Ive watched doesnt seem to learned much of anything...
@@themonsterfactory2934 you're good 😂
Well if @The Monster Factory intended to come across as a toxic internet tard spouting complete rubbish, great job.
And this is a good consolation at least I still have my cars and cameras you guys mean alot to me, I love you guys as projects in the way you think.
Go ride the “dragon”
Great video! Yeah the 190 is a beast of a drop crate motor, love it
Is there a Lawyer in the family or something?
Always so much liability concern.
._.
Mutual Assured Destruction Daddy is a Doctor...
Look up how much money these youtubers make off of these videos. He doesn't need his Daddy's money.
Stefan Arndt right lol, like he’s using someone else’s money with over 1 mil subs and a fan base like this
Nah, they are making PLENTY of money on their own I would day. Notice they don't get complaints for hogging the garage or riding the yard no more? Hahahahaha
Everyone of you missed my point... it was far less cynical.
They go above and beyond relative to other RUclipsrs in regards to liability. It’s seems like it wouldn’t be far fetched to think there was a lawyer in the family.
Just a simple question because it seemed like the answer would have been interesting. Who the fucks cares how much they make if the content is good. I would love to see them buy a shop with a bit of property someday.
Chill.
That Trail 70 was the first motorcycle I ever rode on about 50 years ago. It may still even run. :)
"A little bit jankier"
That is a sweet bike!
