punch needle is fun! Might i suggest hessian as a cheap alternative to monks cloth to practice on. As long as your using the needles with the larger barrels
This is amazing. It seems like a very beginner-friendly craft but I also have a feeling that you make it look easy. Aside from the difficulty, you're incredible at design.
I am so happy your channel was recommended by Aurelie Maron. I prayed to find the best tutotial for what i had in mind and my prayer has been answered. Thank you for sharing. You're a blessing from God.
Amazing as always man! I’ve been punch needling for a few months, and have been trying to find an informative video on rug-making, and both your videos have been so so informative and helpful. Your graphic style is so cool and insanely detailed, I’m so impressed by how you translate them to rugs so well! Excited for more videos - keep up the incredible work!!!
Your curriegoat logo is the best logo I've ever seen! Here's a photoshop tip when selecting the wool colour - Take the lasso tool and draw an outline around the colour you want to match to create a selection. Then go to Filter > Blur > Average and it will fill with the average colour of your selection. Then use eye dropper tool on there
One of those small detailed piece of art would make a great application for a hoodie or leather jacket. Amazing. Good good good job. Glad to have found this.
what i really love about living in the modern day, is that i can see so many amazing creatives online. i feel like your style is your own. and then theres another artist who has a different one as well. thanks so much for sharing your talent ✌️
Amazing process and introduction! I really loved that you took the time to show us the different loop sizes. The texture and colors are really pleasing to the eye, great video!
CurrieGOAT always hookin it up for us. His last rug video inspired me big time and I got myself a punch needle. A week later I got a tufting gun. NOW IM DEEP INTO RUG MAKING CUZ OF YOU MUCH LOVE BRO!!!!
Annika Victoria needed your video a couple years ago! We all thought that plastic tool was an embroidery pen. I realized in your other videos where you use the wooden one that it was probably a punch needle. Wasn't expecting to see this exact pen pop up in your video though! X)
I settled down on the sofa at 7:25pm to watch the joy of painting on telly, and thought, oh i have 5 minutes to wait, i guess i'll just scroll through youtube. Idk why this video was recommended to me but i was absolutely drawn in by your skill and creativity and your whole relaxing vibe and time just passed me by and now bob's already putting in a happy little waterline and i'm not at all mad that i missed almost the whole episode because this was amazing. Not sure why i had to describe the last half hour of my life to you but i just wanted to say you have an eager new subscriber/pupil... keep doing you thing 😌
Whoa such a good teacher. Thank you for explaining the proper job the hands are to perform. There is a yarn winder for crochet yarn that needs to be put backward into a skein. It's a tool that if you learn how to use it you will be astonishingly over joyed at how much work and time you can save by using this simple tool.
U can use pool noodles to protect yourself from the screws. And I recommend u to use nails in the frame because that wat u can adjust the canvas on all directions.
your designs are amazing??? and you're just??? so talented (even tho i know it's not talent, it's practice and dedication which is much more impressive) and you give me just the best vibes. you're great man
Thanks for letting ud in on your precess, man. I know that you live off of whhat you do and its within your rights to just make it and not show the rest HOW you do it, but you still take the time to show us. You just answered a lot of questions that I had about this process in the most selfless way possible, so thank you. I'll proceed to subscribe now.
I've bought everything I need to give this a go! Starting next week. Was looking at tufting guns but I felt like I wouldn't feel like I was doing anything haha... Worked backwards trying to find what the "manual" method was and ended up on your videos. Super cool.
You are very talented but more importantly you are an excellent teacher, the explanations you gave, the technique examples, demonstrating the tools. I often view videos and become frustrated by the lack of information and process, you delivered on all points. Not sure if I will ever make a rug by I am subscribing to your channel
Clicked because of genuine curiosity. Subscribed because you are so methodical in your explanations and your detailing of supplies. And even when I'm studying, these videos make great background!
Really enjoyed the video and the beautiful rug you made. I had no idea these hand punch needles existed. I’ve seen videos of people tufting rugs with machines but this is more my speed. I like to cross stitch but sometimes a change would be nice.
Your channel makes me wanna do punch needle projects! I've only seen basic and boring designs before and didn't think of anything more colorful and crazy.
Thank you SO much for talking about your tools at the beginning. You definitely saved me time and money on experiments, and even gave me a better idea of what I can do with the punch needle
After watching one of your other videos I was so mesmerized that I went and bought a punch needle. I was like do I need this, no but I can’t stop thinking about it so I’m going to buy one anyway.
I love your channel you got me into punch needling and for those who dont want to woodwork: check a thrift store for frames theyre usually less than $10!!
Спасибо, отличный обзор дивайсов!!!😍 Ещё один крутой чел у которого не может быть конкурентов!!! Это не вопрос маркетинга, это вопрос самодостаточности😀!!!
Really liked your advice Re making rugs as a business. If your Mum is making them, then it's over! So true. I thought I'd make some rugs to sell, not now though but will make one for myself. Love your work and videos very good.
For a while now I've had an interest in the idea of "painting with thread" but wasn't sure what I wanted do with it yet, and this opens a whole other world of opportunities! (as i already know embroidery and cross stitching)
I'm primarily an embroidery/cross stitch artist, but a lot of the design process techniques we use are the same. I use a projector to transfer my designs to fabric too.
12:47 absolutely working for me!! ur creative process is the perfect balance of practical and approachable so watching you work really makes me think i could try my hand at the craft too :') i've been rly interested in making a rug for myself lately but it seemed like all the quality rugs were made with tufting guns and that's such a huge investment.. seeing u create such a sick rug with a punch needle is soo encouraging i can't wait to try out punch needling on my own and i'm looking forward to more videos from u (w perfect timing of course :))
