I only disagree in the sense that you seem to imply that Root wouldn't be somewhat enthusiastic about eating her gun to join Shaw in death. Considering she knew by that point what the Machine was gonna ask her to do, it probably was the same difference to her either way.

@@TokyoDogz nope, that was episode 5.9. They spend the nights off camera. Safe house, Miami, when Shaw didn’t go to Barcelona, and then night the truly reunited. They just didn’t show them, they put in the clues.. u should re-watch those scenes. Safe house 10 hrs to spare, in that clip, look at how flustered they both are when Shaw put the hood on Root..
