I live in expensive Texas, property taxes $9,500.00, home insurance $3,200.00, HOA $1000.00, that is $13,700.00 before the mortgage and all the other bills and living expenses. Would be nice to sell everything and move to an affordable country.

Hey Doc, Another great video!! I can't believe you eat watermelon! I wouldn't even eat them when I was a kid. LOL I get fresh mangoes & dragonfruit at a little stand near my condo along with grilled pork on a stick for 5 baht each. I also have been buying bottled water at a small stand & get 12 bottles for 50 baht. I think thats a pretty good deal. I love it here!! Where I live in West Michigan there was a big ice storm & the power is out at my house & isn't supposed to come back on until tomorrow around noon. Live your best life Brother!!
I believe that Canadians are visa exempt. So you are not getting a visa or a visa extension you are simply extending your exempt status. Citizens of countries such as China and Russia are required to get Visa on Arrival and they are only good for 30 days.

@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean I have an important question to you. I am 64 year old man and I was HOMELESS in the U.S.A.. I decided to come to Asia to reside in order to avoid HOMELESSNESS because my SSA monthly income is only 1,102.00. How much the requirement to live in Cambodia??? I do not want to live again on the street because my best friend killed by a drug addict during sleeping time at night. He was stabbed to his neck and I do not want it to happen to me. That is the reason I left America!!!!!

Great info dude, thanks for sharing your experience. Rates are definitely going up around Patong these days so we are moving to Karon. Decent place for 5000฿ everything included. Not the best but it’s only a 5 min walk to the beach. Beach beers are the best imo.
