Im Sure for a lot of people this was the first time they every cried for a tv show and it will always be remembered as one of the best stories in Pokémon
5:43 its from the pinken island where there were special berries which turned the pokemon pink when eaten, the only reason why people forget about that is because nobody watched the orange islands
Oh my. I grew up in the early 2000s when the OG season of Pokemon was already over and were on something like Diamond and Pearl. However I remember watching a lot of the reruns of the classic series. And seeing these scenes of Caterpie and the charm of the first season brings back so much nostalgia. First season and series of Pokemon was pretty goated honestly.
I honestly think the pink butterfree was a foreshadowing to that one episode in the orange Islands where Ash Tracy and Misty arrive on an where all the pokemon were colored pink, or maybe the pink butterfree was actually from that island...
A random episode? It was the final episode of Journeys and if they didn't decide to make a mini epilogue serie for Ash, it would also be the final episode with Ash as the main character. Butterfree appearing was random, but the episode itself wasn't just some random episode.
2:08 yes Indigo was more detailed about the pokemon world. Life and death was real, the other series are a soft version. Don't believe me? Just look at the pokedex descriptions from the early genres.
u wonder if pidgeotto was trying to unalive caterpie well yes pokemon first season was kind a wild and its food for pidgeotto also pokemon manga got some pokemon getting unalived and its a good read
I hated butterfree so much. It was ugly and it hardly did anything. For those first twenty episodes ash maybe used it three times (two were because he hardly had any other Pokémon). That last image we saw of it was probably just in ash’s mind. It’s dead.
@@monjyotiboro. how can you love it? It’s weak, ugly, and has an annoying voice. He barely even talked about it after he released it to die after mating with the pink butterfree.
It appeared in 21 episodes in the anime (not counting flashbacks, fantasies, montages,...) If we don't count the early bird cameo at the end of episode 2 and the reunion cameo, it was under Ash's care for 19 episodes. In those 19 episodes it appeared in at least 10 episodes, being used in battle in at least 9 of those. It was used vs Pidgeotto and Team Rocket in Veridian forest, against Samurai and wild Beedrill, against Team Rocket in Mount Moon, against Misty, against AJ, against Bulbasaur, against a gentleman (and he attempted to use it against Team Rocket, only to be reminded he traded it away), against the Tentacool and the giant Tentacruel, and against Team Rocket once again. With Ash having over a 1000 episodes as the protagonist of the anime, it doesn't seem much, but in the time it was with Ash, it was used relatively much, even after the starters jouned Ash's party. Although, it was somewhat sad it wasn't used in some episodes like the Island of the Giant Pokémon (I guess flying pokémon would resolve the problem of the episode too soon), or in some other episodes. When it showed up in an episode, it was almost always to fight. After fully evolving, it's story was pretty much over. The closest casual interaction with Butterfree we had afterwards and before it left was at Mount Moon, after its battle with Team Rocket Brock gave it some pokémon food. This hurted Butterfree more than a lack of screentime.
*the first "it appeared" should be "it was". It was in the anime for 21 episodes, appearing in 12 of them. (10 times while travelling with Ash, 1 time before travelling with Ash and 1 time afterwards.)

It was funny when you talked about metapod's aura, knocking out trainers and attracting a swarm of bees
I'm glad they got to reunite with ash at the end of journeys ❤
