Weirdly enough, the Aim to be a Master Japanese Op seems to consider Larvitar to belong to Ash. He shows up alongside Pidgeot, Primeape, and Lapras in a segment.
It was also the idea opportunity to revisit old characters and locations. There was an episode about the Lavaridge hot springs but it was used to rehash the Absol episode from Advanced Battle rather than bringing back Flannery. It was also ideal for Ash to use a rotating team of his old Pokemon since he wasn’t too far from Oak’s lab.
In the case of Goodra and Naganadel, while they may be released, I like to think Ash still keeps their pokeballs in case they ever want to travel with him again. Especially since Naganadel can just pop in for a visit whenever it pleases.
Everyday, I think the old misconception that "Ash releases all of his good Pokemon" holds less and less weight in my mind. Out of the 55 Pokemon Ash has actively caught (84 counting his other 29 Tauros). Ash has released 10 of them and with Charizard permanantly leaving the valley, only has 9 that are still released and there's a whole 5 gen gap between his third release of Lapras and his fourth of Goodra. Even then, I would only consider 7/10 of them to be strong or have great potential.
When Primate gained an evolution in Gen IX, I though Ash's primate would show up again to evolve into Anihilampe. And then a few months later Pokemon announced Ash's retirement...
The writter make that episode just to get rid of primeape, charizard and gliscor left ash to became stronger, squirtle left ash to lead his squad but primeape? Imagine if that man return out from nowhere with annihilape but i dont think they gonna do that
It is a bummer that we will likely never see Primape or Pidgeot again. Unless they pull something off in these next 3 episodes, they will basically be snapped away.

What if in the second to last or even the last episode itself Ash bumps into an Annihilape and just when it is about to engage in a fight it realizes that the Pokemon trainer it is facing is his long lost friend Ash and go hug him or something, only to Ash's confusion later be explained that during the time it was training, it eventually evolved. This would be a nice callback to early Pokemon anime and be a kind of bridge in the anime between to introduce Paldea related things.

I have never gotten the outcry to bring Pigeot back. Ash has 5 other regional birds that do what it can but better in their own way. What pisses me off is that we see ash reuniting with butterfree but we don’t actually get to see them talk.
Also, You missed Solgaleo as it is the official pokemon of Ash confirmed by the Pokemon franchise
It said that greninja is still cutting those roots until this day
Primeape was his first and only fighting type til generation 5.
You even forgot about the Haunter Ash befriended and Journeys cut out of existance.
Didn't include him, Larvitar or Solgaleo because they were never officially caught
Doesn't count
update: Pidgeot returned in today's episode, being of course, the final episode of the Ash Ketchum saga.
It is the first pokemon to have rejoined Ash's team permanetly
Ash greyninja is whole new different breed, what's intresting is ash defeated Leon with Pikachu in the end to become top1 rank in league and we all know Pikachu is nothing in front of his greyninja, even lucario didn't even put up serious fight to grey ninja during their reunion where greyninja had become more stronger training alone.
can anyone tell me where can i watch watch pokemon all episodes
During the Pokemon opening u can see primeape with the other pokemons of Ash in pallet town so basically he met him again
