    I appreciate the "I've been using it for 6 months" reviews so much more than "I just got this, let's unbox it and review it." Thank you!

    Mosko Moto quality is absolutely amazing. I have the back country soft panniers and I love them. It seems like the guys at Mosko Moto have thought about pretty much everything. Great products. Thanks for the review.

    I wish I had seen this earlier. Just bought a Givi bag. I like all the separate pouches this bag has. I also wanted a hydration capable bag. I bought what I did because I was in a hurry for a trip I had coming up.

    I bought this tank bag a few days ago, before seeing your evaluation. It is due to be delivered tomorrow or Tuesday. What I like about your review is the examples of some things you store i. it. As example, the head strap flashlight. Good idea.

    Mosko REALLY thinks through their products. Their stuff definitely fits in the "Buy Once, Cry Once" category. In this throw away world, it's great to see a company focused more on durability than planned obsolescence.

    Well explained and I love the fact that you always point out things you don't like. Lends credibility to the honest reviews, and you always test items for a good period of time before giving a review. I thought about that bag but the price tag scared me off, more than double the cost of the one I chose (but) I also do not do as much traveling and was only looking for something to carry wallet, phone etc for day trips. Great review as always.

    Great review, Tim! I totally agree with your point that there should be a slightly bigger option available. I currently use a 12 liter tank bag and would greatly love the organizational characteristics of the Nomad, in a 10 - 12 liter size bag. At least for me that would be ideal.....my dream tank bag. Keep on rolling Tim!

    Thanks Tim, this looks like a fantastic tank bag and I’ll probably get one. However I wish they would make it waterproof without the need to put a rain cover on.

    • @49Roadmaster
      @49Roadmaster 3 года назад +1

      @ Green String - I have to agree with you on the waterproof rain cover. Having to stop and install it at inopertune times. Don't know if it happens to the Mosko unit, but mine blows up like a balloon when I am riding obscuring the dash.

    • @FTAAdventures
      @FTAAdventures  3 года назад +3

      It us pretty water resistant. I only use it in heavy rain but i get what you're saying, it can be a pain when its the only reason I have to stop in the rain.

      Hi Gwyn, you wouldn’t believe it but I was on their web site only a couple of hours ago and stumbled on that find! I may have to reconsider my options now. Still it will teach me to do some research first before I moan to the world. 😂. Thanks for the Link and have a great weekend mate.

    • @49Roadmaster
      @49Roadmaster 3 года назад

      @@GwynHowell I had looked at that one, but it lacks the features of the size and other features of the Nomad.
      All great products though. Just not 100% for my needs.
      Edit & Side note: Just watched "Ride the Bean" and their review on this bag. Changed my mind on the tank bag cover. Near the end of the video they show how the cover works as it wraps UNDER the compartment as opposed to mine which relies on just an ellastic on the side of the bag. I feel this would work a lot better than the one I have and would be a plus. Yes stopping just to install a rain cover is a pain, but definetely a better design than mine. Sold!

    I like it, too. I bought mine back in January at the Dallas International Motorcycle Show. It worked out great for my recent X/C trip, but I've since removed it for riding around town. I got tired of having to unclip it each time I refueled.

    I have one of these on a Moto Guzzi Stone and I'm loving it. I did modify how the rear straps attach to the bike. The standard zip tie method didn't work for me, so I got a couple pieces of loop webbing to loop around frame tubes. Perfect!

    I have hard panniers on my Yamaha S10 (Super Tenere) and have loved them. For my newly acquired T7 I am planning on Mosko Moto 25l panniers, small duffle and tank bag. I found on my S10 the bigger carrying units you have the more stuff you tend to carry and so for my T7 trips I want to work on minimizing bulk weight and total packed stuff. The Mosko Moto are true enthusiasts and the attention to detail in design is off the charts. Looking forward to using their products.

    I have one of these on my Africa Twin and I agree with all of your comments. The rain fly does have a draw string on it so you can tighten it down and not have it blow up like a balloon. My model also came with the exposed hose covered in a insulation material. It is a little pricey but worth every penny.

    Great review, that tank bag looks awesome! I did 20,000 miles with more of a one-pocket style and it is just like you say- becomes one big junk drawer. The backpack feature is perfect. My only concern is (just like you said!) that it seems almost too small to morph into a day pack. But I guess it's small enough to throw into a larger pack for something like a longer hike.

    Good review... thanks for posting. I have this tank bag on a Super Tenere and agree with all your points. I really like it and it's well worth the price. Ideally it would be waterproof without the need for the cover... the only thing I dislike about it is the major wrestling match required ...at least for me !!....to get a full water bladder loaded into the bottom... I've given up on using that feature as a result..and use the bladder space for something else

  • @jimmallery294

    I also have a Nomad tank bag. Also on a 1200 BMW, only mine is a GSA. You are correct that the quality is top notch. My only two very minor issues are first when the bladder is no longer full then the bag tends to fit a little loose, and second a slightly larger compartment somewhere in the bag would allow for a camera to be carried. Otherwise the bag is great.

    I’ve used this bag for the last year ! First of all the bag opens the wrong way for me , second the hydration pack is a pain in the ass to load when full of water ! And to be fair the hydration bag u can’t use unless u stop ! So no real payoff ! Over all I really don’t like this tank bag and will be selling mine ! Mosko quality is great but this tank bag is trying to do to much ! I’ve settled on a simpler tank bag from touratech! But might try the other mosko bags in the future !!

    I’ve had this bag well over a year...
    the lower, bottom straps and cam buckle system, I scrapped... I have a ktm 1190R and I did not want the lower straps on the out side the saddle... I wanted the lower straps to run behind and inside of the saddle.. the provided straps with the zip tie method and plastic clip buckle, would not allow this at all... so, I ordered new straps from green chili and used his strap with a loop... and “choked” the frame on each side.. and ran up to the bag through the cam buckle... and I leave the slack end tucked under the saddle... el’prefecto!
