It amazes me how those boat plaques can be in the water for all those years and still be in that condition
Out of all the finds, The vise is by far the most collectable and valuable!
Cool stuff. Love the Tonka car. My brother and I mowed yards and did chores to save enough allowance to buy them. Those were the days! Love to you all!❤❤😊
Bless you Jeannie 🤗
Awesome finds good friends just doesn't get any better !!
Thanks Bob 🤗
Lovely to see Simon and nicola join you. Great finds all round.❤
Thanks Lisa 🤗
Really love this week's video by The Thames with 3 very special guests❤ Nicola, Simon, and Aaron. Stunning boat plaques. Marie, your history lessons always have me glued to my tv. It is absolutely fascinating, even the old flat can opener, i kept my late mother's opener. Childhood memories. Thank you, everyone, for thus amazing video.
Thanks Gail 🤗
@@mariecollinspeakydippers 🤗 amazing history, Marie.
The round item, could it be the end of a posser for washing clothes!!
Another great episode! Marie, you are a gem~ Love your history presentations!
Thanks Tricia 🤗
Happy Birthday!
Nicola White is there,too! 🎉
I follow SI FINDS AND NICOLA HI THERE1
Happy Birthday Kirsty🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂
Is Kirsty Glen's sister?
@@AlterMann57 I am not sure.
What a fun day! Nicola's find looks like it might be a hair comb.
I love that copper piece that Marie found with the stamped cartouche on it. I bit it'll look a treat once it's properly cleaned and shined.
Happy Birthday to Kirsty!
I like when Nicole White visits, but I don't fancy Si very much, too bad you didn't push him into the water.
Happy 25 Kirsty ! Love You ! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍
I love when the Peaky Dippers find boat plaques, and the ones found on this trip were stellar! The one's found by Mike & Kirsty are top notch!
Thanks 🤗

Thanks Porcelain 🤗
Great seeing Nicola and Si on the hunt with you guys for treasure in the Thames !!
All together now....a Double Diamond works wonders works wonders...... Tonka toys for real tough boys. I remember those can openers
The Tonka car is worth some money. They were expensive to buy especially when you're buying for two boys.
Thanks all, enjoyed as usual.
Thanks Arlene 🤗
Just court the end, so I’m watching it now. Life happens ❤
Congrats on the boat plaques and keys. Great finds guys great video
Thanks Sean 🤗
Sorry missed the premier so going to watch it now
When I met up with sonik and Raymond here a couple weeks ago, Raymond said that the old irons were used for sealing canning jars. Yes?wouldn’t have thought it was safe for home canning.
Awesome find's, Well done everyone
Stay safe all bye❤
This was a really fun episode. Great find. I really love the keys. Glen, I think the same thoughts as you when I look at keys. It gets my imagination spinning.
Happy Birthday Kirsty🥳💙❤💙❤ Nice to see Aaron, Simon and Nicola joining you. 👍

Mud lurking people should use the magnets when lay go mud lurking

The war era boat plaques show they tried to keep some sense normal life going during the war plus if a boat didn't have a plaque it might be an enemy boat ....great finds and great friends what more could you ask for ...Happy birthday from Canada Kirsty🎂🎂🎂...Karl from eastern Canada
Thanks Karl 🤗
Nice selfie
Thanks 🤗
Many happies on your hatching day, Kirsty! What a fab day out you all had, so much fun to watch ! Now, what on earth is the thing with sash window weights in the Thames? Is it a secret thing builders do, are there societies of frustrated window hangers merrily tossing sash weights in bodies of water all over the UK? It's not like people are walking around with sash weights in their back pocket and think, "Oh, there's the Thames, I'll just skip this sash weight over for fun"
Sadly flu tipping is not a new thing, people have used the Thames as a dumping ground forever
Wow very nice boat plaque's
Thanks Eric 🤗

Your Welcome Marie 💖🤗
Hey to all of you dippers, it appears you had a wonderful day.
Thanks Bonita 🤗
I like the cannon ball, I don't think that I will find one because I can't afford to go to places like that. And you all do a great job on cleaning up the water 💦 ways. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 John E. May-0 from USA 🇺🇸
Thanks John 🤗
Hi Glen an Marie and Steve and Alison and Kristy
Hi Arlene 🖐😁

Hi Marie, I have a few questions, hope you don’t mind. How did you all get into magnet fishing and filming it on RUclips and how long? So glad you all did get into it. I used to fish for fish and loved it and eating it too. Been around the water a lot of my life. I never saw it or heard it before. How long haas people been doing it?
I’m 68, but if I was younger I would check it out and try it. But I always look forward to your videos and Northsthans magnet fishing too. Sometimes I check out others too , I mostly only watch both of these.
Take care dear, ❤️
Another wonderful episode so do relaxing too watch ❤
Yeaaaaa! I found you right on time😁😁😁😁I hope your wether is fine and warm as it is here(finally)🍒🍒🍒🍒best of luck
Thanks Robin 🤗
Mr. Peaky, the round dome shaped find may be a torque converter from an automatic transmission from a rear wheel drive old school car. It's a bit of a mess from my angle, but stabbing in the dark is still fun...thank you...ron
Nicolas thing is off of a farm machine, can't remember what now, but I've definitely found a few
Oh thats cool ive got a church key on my key chain, its Double Diamond which i think is a cider brand no longer brewed, learn something new every day ❤ and you have a 1939 and 1945 boat plaques start and end of ww2.
I love when you find WWII items as I always imagine what the last person that held it was thinking being at the center of a war.
I’m on cauch up been to France so lots more to see back in time for my birthday have missed you x
That's so cool
Thanks Theresa 🤗
Aaron from SciFi there too with a Bondi magnet!
Wow soooo many boat plaques! Great video guys.
My husbands home town,I met him just down the road when the Chertsey Lock night club was there, there used to be a pub across the road called the Cricketers Arms, maybe thats where the ashtray came from, we are now in Australia and enjoy watching your you tubes.
Great cleanup montage
Great video as always 😊
Thanks David 🤗
when two magnets get stuck like that, slide them. Just slide from left to right. Less pulling strength. Slide them apart.
Hi all, Maria the last tins to use the flat key opener I believe it was either carnation milk or evaporated milk and you always put two holes in the tins opposite sides of the top then as you pour the product out the air could replace the liquid if you only did one hole the liquid would glue out as it stopped to allow the air to enter the tin. 😊😊😊😊
Thanks Martin
Great video
Thanks 🤗
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love the history of of your region
Been looking forward to seeing your next all week ❤i still can't believe some of the crazy things you find and i love the history research you fo very educational
Thanks Robbie 🤗
Very interesting history you all bring up from the depths! And aside from the finds, you all deserve recognition for everything you do to clean out the rivers!
Sorry missed the live chat
The unidentified metal plate object looks like one of the end plates of a metal cycle pedal.
Thanks 👍😁
The hand trade mark is Allsopps. Also part of allied breweries.
We used to call it "eye"nd coop and there were plenty of ind coop pubs round us when I was growing up. Love your historical side bars. Thank you
sweet day
Saw you today In Maidenhead along the river
News from across the pond . Recently a magnet fisher pulled a rifle , drivers license and credit cards from a Georgia creek. This new evidence will be added to a case that has not yet come to trial. Reminds me of the movie " Fried Green Tomatoes" A mother and baby fled her wife beating husband to live with friends . He came at night to take the baby back. The nanny protected the baby and he knocked her unconscious . An elderly frail man blocked him from getting into the car and he severely beat him. The nanny regained consciousness and with a mighty wallop hit him on the head from behind with a heavy cast iron frying pan killing him. His car was dumped in a river. He is declared missing and all is well. The water level drops exposing the car and an innocent person is now charged with the murder. The body was disposed of in an innovative way I have never heard before . And the murder trial has an interesting twist at the end.
I still have can opener just like that, it's old but it's still in use.😊
Hello peakys, that horse shoe the second one seemed like it might be a oxen shoe .if it is, congratulations, but the big question is how it got there .?absolutely fabulous. video loved the guests or are they ? nicola and Simon .also great to see Aaron again on your channel love to all
The old sash weights used to be called "knee breakers" as they were popular tools of criminal enforcers back in the day.
I found a mooring ring when i was larking in the local harbour, its in a box with all my other detecting finds and i do intend to upcycle it somehow just gotta think what to do ‽
The “buckle” looks like the side of a pedal maybe.
Thanks Franny 🤗
Hiya, could the unidentified belt buckle actually be the end of a bicycle pedal?
❤️🤗
can you age those irons alison
Nicole!!!?
47.19 part of a bike pedal ?
I would’ve said that hexagon shaped thing was a door pull rather than a fence topper?
Looks like a ceiling fan
Nicolas find resembles the bit on a cello about the bridge... ???
I really hope that Nicola's find is something ancient but its looks suspiciously like a tine or finger from a weed cutting bar that fits to a dredging bucket or a finger bar from a combine harvester.
😢 bell?
Ta
Where's Nigel?
Is a license required to magnet fish the thames?
C'mon. Where's the merch?
Can all of you swim? I get so nervous watching. How about wearing life jackets love Beth in USA
Many thanks for your concern x
Yes we are all strong swimmers but unfortunately there are 100s of magnet fishers world wide that don't wear life jackets, they restrict us throwing magnets and can be uncomfortable in the summer.
We are very experienced and been doing this since 2018.
These rivers are walkable for everyone and the same could be said for all pedestrians tbh xxx
I thoroughly enjoy watching you find the items, but that is only half the possible story. Why not save up all those old hammers and tools and get an expert on to tell us what they are, and what they're worth. Why not save up all those old railway bits & pieces and get an expert on to tell us about them.
🥳🥳🥳Happy Birthday Kristy! CHECK YUH KROOD! then have Si make art out of it 🤔🫡🙂😬🤷🏽♂🤣
