Welcome back! This one definitely is mood-booster! You're correct, it was filmed in Japan when they were there on tour. They have a big following in Japan, and actually went as far as making a specific version of one of their albums for their Japanese fans. I'm pretty sure that the original Clean Bandit video for this song was also shot in Japan. Kirstie and Mitch are big animé fans. And Kirstie's engagement happened early last year while they were in Japan on tour.

I always enjoy hearing Kirstie in her lower register - it's so rich and full, even back then - this video is nearly 10 years(!) old! And she also goes up into her head voice a couple of times, not the highest we've ever heard her go, but still showing a good range between the two extremes.
As others have said, PTX has a HUGE fan base in Japan and Asia, and they've sung more songs in Japanese (either wholly (1) or partially (3)) than any other non-English language - which is not really something you expect out of a US group! Since I didn't see any of them in your Pentatonix playlist, I'll just say any of them you pick will probably be a pleasant surprise.
Perfume medley - Perfume is one of (if not THE) most popular J-pop girl groups around, and they've been active even longer than PTX!
Pretender - the only song sung completely in Japanese, released on an album especially made for the Japanese market. PTX have performed it on Japanese TV shows several times. While there are videos of these available, I'd just stick with the audio only, as the videos aren't that great.
Dear My Friend - a collaboration with the J-pop girl group Little Glee Monster. I'd go with the video from The First Take, as it was recorded "live" from both sides of the Pacific during the lockdown, since neither group could travel to meet the other.
Midnight in Tokyo - another collab with Little Glee Monster; save this one for a day you need a pick-me-up, as it's bright, poppy, and very cinematic!

This was definitely filmed in Japan, probably between performances on tour there. I'm glad you mentioned the bit where Mitch and Scott are taking a selfie - Long Live Scomiche! I also believe this was when Avi had injured one of his knees, resulting in him sitting through a lot of the video. See you in the next one!

You might try the song Light in the Hallway, an original lullaby written by Scott for his nephew and sung stunningly by Avi, live. Scott didn't want to sing the lead on this one as he felt that Avi's lovely, smooth voice would perfectly fit the song, and he was right.

So happy for you, and keeping my fingers crossed! You asked what the most exciting thing was about our summer - my son got married to a wonderful woman, and we joined them for the first part of their honeymoon (at their invitation)! We spent two weeks in Europe which was amazing.

Will be praying that you continue to feel worse, LOL. Yes, we did want a life update. I knew this one would make you happy. They all shine so brightly in this video. No a Matt recommendation, but I think Avi has a new song coming out Friday (August 30), so you can put that on the list for nest time he is up in the rotation. As for Matt, the only solo of his that I have seen besides the one you already did is Berklee Night LA- Life is a Highway. It is good, but it doesn't showcase all of his beautiful voice.
Wow girl I'm so freaking excited for you. I'm 45 and unfortunately the closest thing I ever had to.beinh a father was When I was in the United States Navy and while I was deployed overseas for a year and upon my return I found out with wife ( Now X wife ) was 6 months pregnant. I'm not great at math but even I knew that it was impossible for her to be 6 months pregnant since I had as gone for a year. So needless to say after 8 years of marriage that was done and over with. Since then I find it difficult to trust any woman and I refuse to get in a relationship because it wouldn't be fair to her until I can learn to trust again. I'm sorry that was so long of a message.
