They are so good live! From this same show there's a live performance called Evolution of Pentatonix where they take the crowd through their journey and sing little snippets of important parts of their milestones. I highly recommend that one, it's so good. 🥰 Also great reaction, as always. 🤗
Thank you for the great reaction! Their stage performances are mind blowing. Scott also uses teleprompter. He forgets the lines of even the songs he writes.
This concert was in September 2022, so it was a little before they usually start their Christmas tours, which tend to start in late October/early November each year. The amazing thing about "Believe" for me isn't that Mitch sings without auto-tune and Cher did - she's been singing professionally literally longer than any of these folks have been alive, so she wouldn't "need" it, she did it as an artistic choice. The amazing thing is that she sings it in her middle to high register, and Mitch sings exactly the same melody in his lower register. Cher's vocal range is usually pegged as alto/contralto, and Mitch isn't having ANY trouble hitting the same notes she does. In "The Prayer", Celine Dion is a mezzo soprano, and again, Mitch can match her note for note, although he is using head voice for a good bit of it. It just goes to show how large his range really is!
Great reaction. Hope everything has been well. Looking forward to real time you next week. As mentioned by others, all of the Hollywood Bowl live performances are amazing.
Great reaction Carmen. They are incredible live. I saw them in Paris in May 2023 where they did this one and everyone was on their feet and having a dance party! I hope all is going well with the IVF. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you. 💜💜
They are so consistent! All of them, but Mitch in particular, can solidly reproduce the same vocals time after time after time. The Hollywood Bowl concert which wasn't part of a tour, per se, but it was one of their first fresh-from-the-shut-down performances, so you can tell they had a ball. I wasn't there, but I have heard them do this one live and it is 100% as fun as you think it would be.
Hey Carmen, it was really terrific to see you do a reaction to this live performance by Pentatonix. It does seem true that in these large venue settings they get set up with mics and a sound system that allows them to make vocal enhancements like reverb and that sort of thing, it really helps “fill out the sound” because they have so much space to fill. Still, I thought they sounded absolutely terrific here and one thing this live performance did for me was it allowed me to hear the real power of Kirstie’s voice. Sure, she belts in production videos but for some reason I thought in this live performance her sound had more edge to it yet still had a nice, round quality. I am very grateful to be have been able to hear her in this setting so thanks again, I’ll look forward to more of your Pentatonix reactions 😊
Kirstin *did* wear that same dress in their Christmas concert tour a couple of months later, although this was not considered part of that tour. This was just a few months after she delivered her daughter, so she was probably looking for something easy and comfortable to wear. Matt is the most agile on his feet of the group, but Scott is catching up to him.
I believe this was their first post-pandemic concert and they were SO ready to get back in front of a live audience. It was also at the Hollywood Bowl, a very iconic venue, so it was a hometown performance (of sorts, anyway, ‘cos I think Mitch, Scott and Kirstie still think of their Texas shows as hometown performances too.) As others have said, there are a number of very good videos from this show, including the history of Pentatonix one and a truly magnificent rendition of Kevin’s Fifth. I always love your enthusiasm for Pentatonix, so thanks! Peace …
I was there and it was amazing. I also went to one in 2023 in Irvine it was so much fun, I didn't want it to end. You need to go the first chance you get. 😀
They are so good live. Just HOW???? I think they sung it a key or two lower, but other than that it is the same. Kirstie had a baby about two months before this show.
It’s not PTX, but I would like to recommend checking out I’m A Believer by Bailey Pelkman, if you haven’t already heard it. She does a beautiful version of that song.
if you didn't know matt become a girl dad and kevin become dad of 2. react to pentatonis reimagine dance of the sugar plum fairy by kevin and matt. react to kevin and matt moments on concerts. react to ptxperience. react to mv of scott solo music which you didn't react before
While I can't speak for anyone else, I think many of your viewers are worried about you because you missed your regular Monday posting. I know that you had been going through a procedure and pray you are doing well and that everything is ok. God bless.

Love their story they tell/sing during this performance.

Amazing how they sound just like the recording!
Scott often changes up his riffs when live so folks won't think they're lip-synching

They are amazing live and the Daft Punk from this concert is indeed awesome. I adore your reactions and your smiling face makes my day! ❤❤❤❤❤
Great reaction. Thank you. Pentatonix is always amazing live.
One month from today my daughter is taking me to my 1st PTX concert! So excited!

This venue has a great sound system. I've heard others not so good.

Recommend their official video of My Favorite Things.
This concert ứa their first concert after the birth of Kirstie's daughter
