It was definitely chill back then. I was a kid in the 80’s and I’d do almost anything to go back. I wish all people could have lived in the 80’s to live without the poisons of the internet, social media, woke, etc, and just be happy. Whatever town you lived in was your world and everything else didn’t really matter. For kids that is.

Born in 1977 here and yes 80's music was magical
I have never wanted to rule the world. Yet, this is one of the most glorious songs of the 80's. I was 16 when this was out in 1985 (now 55 years) - a true gem of that era!

Iconic. Takes me right back to the mid-80s and secondary school in the UK (or high school, as you would know it).

Mr son was 10 mths old when this came out, i tear up every time i hear it, remembering him dancing to this song, whatever he was doing, whatever time, he'd jump up an dance.
