Put a tarp/sheet under the hedge and the cleanup is twice as quick.
Great tip, I normally just run it over with the mower
Get a stihl leaf blower!
You took the words out of my mouth, it's only downsides are noise levels and vibration! Very reliable machine and tuff as old boots! Still have mine as a backup but now use the Husqvarna 122HD60 for smaller jobs, probably not as robust but far more comfortable to use! Though both are advertised as domestic use, they are more than capable of commercial use. For the big stuff jobs I use the Stihl HS81R and Husqvarna 522HDR75X, which will deal with almost anything. Final summary, is the HS45 worth the money, HELL YES!!!
Love it man, great comment
You’d be surprised how effective a small carb adjustment can do to reduce the vibrations at high rpm
Really? That's good to know, I'll have a look at that
@@WoolysWorld It’s quite annoying that it has to be done quite regularly on the 45 engine, but it really does help it to run smoother
Cheers man, I'm about to head out with it today actually, but I won't touch the carb, that's witchcraft as far as I'm concerned!! Lol
About to coop one of these bad bots up for $180 from someone. Already ordered a new carb, filters and probably order a new blade for it. This sucker a beast!
Nice one
Thanks for your reviews on this hedge cutter, just been out today and bought one with the two foot bar, and it’s ace. I wanted one for around the property and as I’m a good neighbour I do the OAP’s hedges on either side, well you’ve got to look after the older generation haven’t you? Wonder if the next generation are as thoughtful 🤔
But again buddy you helped me out immensely on making up my mind so a big thumbs up from me.
No problem at all, I'm glad I could help. I'm actually just back Fromm cutting my neighbors hedge
Nice. Stihl is a very popular brand here in brazil, I'm getting one of those soon.
They work very well, hope it works well for you
Mines 17 years old and still going strong
Excellent
Looks like a winner Wooly, I have a Husqvarna and really like the feature of the handle rotating .
My last one rotated and I realized that I never once used it, so it didn't bother me that this one did rotate. I think if I was using it all the time it might be different though
Husqvarna makes much better hedge trimmers
At the time this was cheaper than a husky
@@WoolysWorld got ya. Stihl's always a good choice though, I can't really say that either one is better.
I just prefer Husky.. always feels better in my hands.
4 years, no issues.Use good oil, not supermarket brand! I lube the scissors and make sure the motor runs until carb is empty after each session. Stabil mixed in with the 32:1 petroil mix all the time with the recommended amount.
Excellent
Nice gsp...got one of those crazy things too
Great dogs, must get another one
Good cost effective machine I have had one for five years.
I agree, I've never had an issue with it
Thank you friend
No problem buddy
Thank you for the very informative review, what cc is that 25/26, also what do u think about a 51cc...
51cc would be awesome
Thank you.
@@Dnyce07 it's 27 cc
@@WoolysWorld Copy that Sir!
Nice video! Stihl is pronounced correctly something like "shteel". Greetings from Germany (:
Cheers buddy
Hi. I guess your hedge has 180/190 cm- if you want cut this hedge up to 100cm this Stihl will be enough powerful to this job?
In height? Yes
@@WoolysWorld Yes. Thanks 👍🏻
@maly8izon np
Its beast ilove mine
Agreed
Spot on mate, they are solid just loud as f**k
Lol, yep. Thanks man
@@WoolysWorld all good brother always top content
How thick can it cut?
An Inch is pushing it I think
Next we will see a stihl chainsaw saw. This is the start of it.
brrrruuuugggghhhhhhhhhkk , sorry man, just threw up in my mouth a bit
@@WoolysWorld .🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Let's Go Nice.😆 mate 😆
24 inch over 18 inch, any real advantage?
Extra reach ?
@Wooly's World 6 inches less, easier to wield (think I've said that to the wife). I've got about 10ft-15ft of hawthorn hedge that's leaning about 45 degrees I need to take off the height and face so I can stake it upright and wondered if this would chomp through the thick (about and inch) branches in it?
Should be ok, just take your time
I noticed your tamoko on your arm are you Maori ?
No not at all, I'm Irish
how to order a hedge trimmer?
I just ordered mine online
*I thought that STIHL is the BEST that Money can buy!!??*
Sometimes
Haha tell it to my Boss im using this 9h a day in work not private Garden. Yes its good. If u work in Ur Garden. Try it 5 days a week. 2 months straight. For private owners. Not professional cuter.
How is it running for you
When i cut something above 2 metres high and wide its very hard to keep it steady for a long Time. Blade is not very long too. Good for something to. 1,7m. Nice for cutting sides. Like i said for some1 Who use it for time to time its good. For professional work well it will do the job but somtimes it could be exhausting. And yeah its kinda cheap. And loud like hell. Hs82 is better but its almost 3 Times a Price of hs45.
@@boryslisowski7108 cool, thanks for the reply
It looks like Helen Keller trimmed that hedge.
lololo, she did
COSGROVE LORE
Cheers buddy
Cannae beat a Stihl
Lolololo, ssshhh you
Whatever you do, don't use that trimmer on your beard despite getting a half million likes, and more subscribers...it's not worth it!
Lolololo, I'll try not to , I'd probably end up cutting off my ears
Had a few , possibly the worst petrol hedge trimmer theyve made
Really! I think mine is great
How much do you use it ? I'm cutting hedges today (and most days ATM) probably 300 metres of beech both sides , tried battery powered Stihl stuff but 2 back in the shop for warranty work , one for the 5th time, wouldn't mind but I've invested about £1000 in batteries alone , but I'm only trying to make a living out of it 😎(the coil will go on the hs45) 👍@@WoolysWorld
@grahamwatson6570 I'm not anyway close to your hours, homeowner hours only
Yea it's top end homeowner 👍@@WoolysWorld
@grahamwatson6570 cool, cheers for the advice
Surprised anyone has managed to start the f**king thing
Mine is 100% starts every time
