Finally found a video that has proper instructions and information regarding sculpting. I picked up on clay sculpting because it helps with my anxiety disorder and now I can try your methods as they seem exactly for a beginner like me. Liked it and subscribed. 👍🏻
@@TheArtMentor actually I'm working on a skull, from the video you made. I found that very interesting as well, so I was like, maybe I'll start with this first. Lol
Ditto. Everything i have come across never even discusses accuracy, and their work really shows it. So, I really agree with your statement 👏 He is such a good teacher.
Thank you do much. I learned why my animals look more like cartoons than anything close to reality 🙃 SO, thank you. You're a great teacher - much appreciated
This is great! The hardest thing for me are the eyes. The whole head is intimidating. Bless you for making such an amazing video for beginners like me!
Yeah it has crazy ugly potential doesn’t it? Lol I’ve seen my share of scary looking animal faces 😂 happy to hear this helped you! Since you’re making an animal, have you seen my tutorials in animal feet and textures as well?
@@TheArtMentor I’ve kept my old sculpts of animals, and they’re terrifying! I’ll be sure to check those out as well! Feet are hard to detail. Thanks again for the amazing tutorial!
Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed! Yeah unfortunately you can’t edit RUclips videos once uploaded 😅 I’ll keep that in mind for future content! So what are your you sculpting today with the help of this?
I just use simple porcelain clay with grogg. Pretty basic stuff. And sure, you can paint it with acrylics afterwards once it’s been fired first 👍 any other questions?
Been struggling with a few tiger head sculpts on and off for the past few months and wondering why it was going wrong. I get 2 minutes in and I realize I shouldn’t have been focusing almost entirely on the forward-facing angle 😂. Thanks for the informative video, hope that implanting this advice will help :)
That’s awesome! Will you share it with me on instagram when it’s done? I’d love to see it! Btw I have some other tutorials that might help you out, like the animal feet video
Great video, really informative, but why the music? It's so unbelievably annoying and not necessary, it made it hard to focus on your words. Shame as your content is brilliant.
Hey thanks for watching and I’m glad this helped you! As you might’ve noticed, this is amongst my first videos, so I apologize for the music 😅 I didn’t know everything I know now, and RUclips doesn’t let you edit videos after uploading. I hope you’ll overlook my early videos like this and continue enjoying my content 😁
Hi, ah that makes sense! This was the only video I have seen but it inspired me to book a sculpture course, so thanks for that. I shall watch more!@@TheArtMentor
