My aunt and adult cousin came in from out of state to spend just Christmas Eve evening and Christmas Day with us, they left this morning. I love my aunt and cousin but even at 36 years old with a 17 year old child of my own and a grandparent that I’ve been taking care of for years, THAT visit overwhelmed me! And the kicker? I miss my aunt and cousin like crazy and wish they had been able to stay longer… family and holidays can be so complicated!

I lost my mom to an overdose in late October and I’m a 26yr old only child with no dad. Thankfully my husband, our 2 children and our dogs brought the joy to life on Christmas Day. i love getting books. especially when their a series. you can spend the entire weekend reading all of them. getting loungewear like sweatpants and sweatshirts is probably the best gift someone can get you. i love when sweatshirts are three sizes too big.
