      @@RyanKingArt I made a discovery w/ Geo Nodes. If you put in an extrude node after the Group Input, then under Offset Scale you plug a noise texture, then it'll look like a cool cube pattern. (Make sure that Individual is checked) Make the texture black, add some cool neon lights, (Whatever You Want) Then you've got a great looking wallpaper! (Works Best in Eevee)

    • @TonyIsCool45
      @TonyIsCool45 Год назад

      Also, animate the scale, and it looks like an equalizer. (You should make a video on it)

    • @TonyIsCool45
      @TonyIsCool45 Год назад

      If extrusion is too high, then use the math node and set it to subtraction (If too low then set to add). Adjust it to your likings.

    • @TonyIsCool45
      @TonyIsCool45 Год назад +1

      For cool neon colors, try to stay in a range from cool green, to a hot pink.

    @6:03 when you plug the Object to the Vector, how did you get it so that both sides of the cube have the long brick texture? Mine has it on one side (the right side facing the camera) but the other side (left side) is just black.

    When you have set the Color Ramp to Constant and have the black slider in the middle between the two white ones, there's no need fiddling around with the left white slider - you can leave it at 0 😉

    I am doing this with 4.2 and when doing the displacement my cube is splitting apart on the edges even though I have subdivided it. Not sure what the issue is.

    Alt Title: How To Make A Borg Cube In Blender

  • @ryderbrooks1783

    I think if you spent a bit more time on the communicative aspect of these videos you'd see a huge uptick in $$.
    Think of 3 blue 1 brown. He isn't just walking you through the steps of how to do 1 + 1. He's trying to teach you to solve an entire class of problems. In your style of video if I pick up the knowledge of how to solve MY problem (which is why I'm watching) it's by accident. Like what exactly are the things I'm learning in this video? Where are the pain points you found while learning this? What things did you try to solve using this method but ultimately abandoned because it didn't work. Consequential knowledge is ALWAYS value add.
    This is meant as constructive feedback in an attempt to give back.
