Also make a tutorial on " sunrise and sunset animation with transition from day to night."
@@iamsatyam1 Thanks for the tutorial idea.
You know after doing the regular Sci-Fi Material Tutorial I had to do this. Great content as usual Ryan.
Another awesome material Ryan, thanks for sharing!
Glad you like it!
Thanks Rayan! This is very interesting material & thank you for sharing the techniks. I will definitely support you on gumroad!

I would like to say thank you! You're so kind sharing your skills 😭💖
thank you for watching!
Feel like you’ve hit a new level recently and you were operating at a pretty high level before!!
Thanks! 👍 Yeah I've been pretty productive recently, and I've been able to make a lot of content!
Really really love it ! Thanks Ryan ❤

Wow! Thankyou
You’re welcome!
Always a Masterpiece!
thanks!
@@RyanKingArt I made a discovery w/ Geo Nodes. If you put in an extrude node after the Group Input, then under Offset Scale you plug a noise texture, then it'll look like a cool cube pattern. (Make sure that Individual is checked) Make the texture black, add some cool neon lights, (Whatever You Want) Then you've got a great looking wallpaper! (Works Best in Eevee)
Also, animate the scale, and it looks like an equalizer. (You should make a video on it)
If extrusion is too high, then use the math node and set it to subtraction (If too low then set to add). Adjust it to your likings.
For cool neon colors, try to stay in a range from cool green, to a hot pink.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
It's Amaizing
glad you like it!
I actually made something similar to this in the past but instead of having the bigger areas glow, I made the outlines glow
Cool!
Thank you so much Ryan, could make a cinematic earth sunrise animation? Thank you
thanks for the tutorial idea!
Borg cube
haha yeah!
@6:03 when you plug the Object to the Vector, how did you get it so that both sides of the cube have the long brick texture? Mine has it on one side (the right side facing the camera) but the other side (left side) is just black.
Thanks
you're welcome!
Hey man, what node did you start with? I thought it was principled bsdf but when I try that no textures appear as I'm making it or when I render it.
Thank you ! You are a great teacher ! Also, can you do a tutorial on how to bake high resolution textures on very large UV Maps (like complicated assets) ?
thanks for the tutorial request.
It looks so complicated and then in the vide it looks easy.
thank you!
Hello! Is there a way to export the textures to substance painter and use it there afterwards?
You can bake out the Material to texture maps.
When you have set the Color Ramp to Constant and have the black slider in the middle between the two white ones, there's no need fiddling around with the left white slider - you can leave it at 0 😉
ahh ok. thanks for the tip.
Hi Ryan! Your videos are really helpful and easy to follow, thank you a lot for posting! Also, I was wandering if you will consider Unreal Engine 5, online teaching for beginners. Best wishes!
Possibly. I've never used a game engine before. Do you know if Unreal works on Linux?
Unreal engine DOES work on linuix@@RyanKingArt
I am doing this with 4.2 and when doing the displacement my cube is splitting apart on the edges even though I have subdivided it. Not sure what the issue is.
👍👍👍
thanks!
can anyone tell me how to make cotton in blender ? I tried volume scatter but is there something more procedural
thanks for the tutorial idea.
Wouldn't it be easier to use Jsplacement as its faster to setup and way more easier on the cpu and gpu and takes less time to render?
I suppose you could do that if you wanted to, yeah.
I can't be the only one who saw the thumbnail and immediately thought it was a Borg ship
haha I think I got some other comments of people thinking that too : )
Hi..Ryan how to make iressident glass shader
thanks for the video idea.
thank you i did it but can you say how can we enable gpu compute ,as my graphic card is NVIDIA geforce gt 730
maybe I can make a video on that sometime
you need to enable your GPU in Blender's user preferences, after you've installed the GPU drivers on your computer.
"Procedural Scifi alien metal metal"
A.K.A : Borg cube - material
Lol yeah 😁
Recommended
64-bit eight core CPU
32 GB RAM
2560×1440 display
Three button mouse or pen+tablet
Graphics card with 8 GB RAM
What graphics card we need?
didnt we do this tutorial ( or very similar) tut a few months ago? lol
It was something sort of like this. But this is different.
If you can please make a tutorial of creating carrot
thanks for the tutorial request.
Alt Title: How To Make A Borg Cube In Blender
Haha yeah 👍
I think if you spent a bit more time on the communicative aspect of these videos you'd see a huge uptick in $$.
Think of 3 blue 1 brown. He isn't just walking you through the steps of how to do 1 + 1. He's trying to teach you to solve an entire class of problems. In your style of video if I pick up the knowledge of how to solve MY problem (which is why I'm watching) it's by accident. Like what exactly are the things I'm learning in this video? Where are the pain points you found while learning this? What things did you try to solve using this method but ultimately abandoned because it didn't work. Consequential knowledge is ALWAYS value add.
This is meant as constructive feedback in an attempt to give back.
thank you for the feedback 👍
